Main Role & Responsibilities
The overall purpose of this role is to support the Head of Fundraising in establishing a corporate partnerships income stream as part of Ygam’s new Income Generation strategy, which underpins the organisation’s ambitious aims and objectives. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in diversifying our range of income streams to ensure financial health for the future of the charity, underpinned by sustainable and ethical fundraising models.

You will also play a key role in identifying opportunities and developing relationships with corporates to strengthen the chance of bid success in both the short and medium term.

Who are we looking for?
Ygam is seeking an experienced corporate fundraiser, or individual with transferable skills, to join our tight-knit and ambitious team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to use your communication skills and initiative to manage and develop a pipeline of corporate partnerships opportunities, spotting synergies and developing relationships with potential donors. By writing proposals and managing a calendar of supporting activities, you will not only hone your communication skills, corporate account development and management, but also make a tangible impact on our mission to Safeguard our Digital Generation.
Key tasks:

manage and grow a portfolio of small to medium corporate partners, increasing income by identifying new prospects and through the stewardship of existing donors.

write high quality applications and communicate accurately and transparently on the progress made in partnerships.

work with our programme experts to develop expertise in key programme areas and build your knowledge of Ygam’s work.

support with applications and reports to large corporates and other associated fundraising activity.
The ideal candidate will be motivated, creative, and organised, with a knack for relationship building. This role suits an ambitious self-starter with excellent research, communication, writing, IT, and presentation skills. We are looking for someone who believes in Ygam’s mission and is excited to collaboratively shape and develop our fundraising work.
Role Requirements
Duties will include but not be limited to:
Business Development

Work with the Head of Fundraising to develop strategies which increase Ygam’s visibility in the corporate space.

Conduct prospective supporter research; establish and grow the partnerships pipeline, and develop pitches to meet shared objectives, working with the Head of Fundraising.

Build strong relationships with organisations that share our values.

Manage the prospect pipeline using Salesforce, segmenting the pipeline into areas of programme interest and tracking applications, expected and actual income and reporting deadlines.
Relationship Building:

Craft engagement plans to deepen existing relationships and maximise fundraising opportunities

Provide excellent account management for new and established partners, including regular and meaningful communication.

Produce relevant, creative, and compelling proposals, reports and updates to keep our corporate partners motivated and engaged.

Identify and execute creative ways to bring our work to life for funders.

Ensure that relationships with donors (both new and existing) are maintained and managed effectively before, during, and after receipt of funds.

Effectively communicate Ygam’s vision, mission, and programmes to potential donors. Delivering and shaping engaging and emotive copy for appeal letters, emails, newsletters, and other promotional materials.

Contributing to wider Fundraising Department objectives, sharing innovative ideas, supporting all income streams, and promoting a culture of positive team-working.

Working closely with the External Affairs team to ensuring effective use of case studies, photography, statistics, and organisational information and that all communications are consistent and in line with Ygam brand guidelines.

The role
Would you like to be part of a small, collaborative HR team that supports the people driving CSE’s mission to tackle the climate emergency and end fuel poverty? We are looking for a proactive, organised and values-driven HR Officer to join our busy HR team. This is a hands-on role at the heart of our operations, supporting around 150 staff and 60 line managers across the employee lifecycle.
As HR Officer, you will provide practical, people-focused support from recruitment and onboarding through to contract changes, benefits administration, and leaver processes. You will act as the first point of contact for HR queries, helping colleagues and managers to apply policies effectively, use systems confidently, and follow processes that are consistent and people-centred.You will also play a key role in maintaining accurate information across systems such as Employment Hero, SharePoint HR Intranet and Monday, ensuring data is compliant and well managed. Working closely with the Senior HR Manager and Senior HR Advisor, you will contribute to improving how HR supports staff, helping to strengthen processes, enhance systems and create a positive employee experience.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys getting the detail right, solving problems and improving the way things work. You will be part of a small, friendly team where HR systems and processes are evolving, so you will need to be comfortable balancing daily operational work with helping to shape clearer, more efficient ways of working.
Who you are

You will bring:
- Some experience in HR or people-focused support, with an understanding of HR processes and a basic knowledge of UK employment law, and a willingness to continue learning.
- Confidence managing day-to-day HR queries, preparing contracts and letters, and maintaining accurate employee records.
- Strong digital and administrative skills, including experience using HR systems, spreadsheets and Office 365 (especially Word and Excel).
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to take ownership of routine processes.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain HR information clearly and sensitively.
- A collaborative mindset and alignment with CSE’s values, championing inclusion, fairness and wellbeing at work.

Governance Manager (12-months maternity cover)
About the role
This is an exciting time to join Emmaus UK and provide maternity cover for our Governance Manager.
This standalone role is responsible for managing the operations of the board and committees of Emmaus UK, as well as for providing support to local boards at Emmaus communities across Great Britain as they look to develop their governance arrangements.
The postholder will manage the board of trustees, leading on recruitment, induction and compliance, ensuring meetings run smoothly and are minuted effectively. They will also work as company secretary, managing the smooth-running of the AGM, and ensuring returns are made to Companies House and the Charity Commission within appropriate timeframes.
The Governance Manager is responsible for monitoring the development of policies, tracking completion and working with managers to continuously improve policies in line with changing regulation.
The role will also involve extensive work with members of the Emmaus movement, through the performance of reviews of local governance of members, reporting back to local boards on areas to celebrate and actions to develop. They will also be responsible for developing Emmaus UK’s best practice toolkit for trustees to refer to in developing their local governance arrangements, and for liaising with the wider Emmaus movement through facilitation of the membership processes with Emmaus Europe and Emmaus International.

Emmaus is a unique, secular organisation supporting homeless and socially excluded people by providing a home, meaningful work opportunities and a sense of belonging.
There are currently over 30 Emmaus communities across the UK, stretching from Glasgow to Dover and Norfolk to South Wales, including three Emmaus groups working towards the development of services in their areas. Collectively the Emmaus federation supports more than 1,000 people with experience of homelessness.
Emmaus UK Governance
- Manage the board of trustees, leading on recruitment, delivering a comprehensive and appropriate induction, dealing with enquiries, maintaining declarations of interest, skills audit and eligibility forms and ensuring all details are up to date and accurate.
- Act as company secretary for Emmaus UK, leading on the preparation for and delivery of the Annual General Meeting, filing required returns, developing documents associated with membership, and ensuring the charity is compliant with relevant charity and company law.
Board and Committee Meetings
- Coordinate board meetings including organising venues, liaison with the relevant secretary and chairs in creating agendas, preparing and distributing papers and taking and circulating accurate minutes
- Oversee the smooth-running of committee meetings in conjunction with the admin team, including creation of the annual calendar.
- Ensure all follow up actions are coordinated, and ongoing rolling actions logs are maintained and appropriately shared with the Emmaus UK staff team.
Emmaus UK Governance Development
- Lead on governance projects within Emmaus UK, including but not limited to risk, policy management and internal governance reviews, reporting to the Board and subcommittees as appropriate.
- Provide governance advice and support to staff members on an ad hoc basis.
- Monitor all internal policies and procedures ensuring they are fit for purpose and kept under review by the relevant staff members.
Federation Governance
- Lead on reviews of members’ local governance arrangements, scheduling, undertaking analysis, reviewing documentation, collating responses from members and observations from Emmaus UK Senior Leadership Team members, and reporting to local boards on findings and Emmaus UK’s Audit & Risk Committee on emerging themes.
- Provide guidance for federation members on governance development through ad hoc advice, the production of governance toolkits and supporting resources.
- Facilitate the membership processes and requirements for Emmaus Europe and Emmaus International, supporting transitioning members and contributing to movement-wide events such as the World and Regional Assemblies, international visits and exchange programmes.
