We’re the Portman Group, the UK’s self-regulatory body for alcohol marketing and we are looking for someone to provide advice and training to the alcohol industry on our marketing rules. We have two Codes of Practice: the Naming, Packaging and Promotion of Alcoholic Drinks and the Alcohol Sponsorship Code. Each Code outlines a set of responsible marketing rules that the alcohol industry must abide by. Our primary purpose as a regulator is to protect those who are vulnerable, particularly those who are under-18.
No previous experience of working in the alcohol industry or marketing regulation is necessary as full training will be provided.

Details of role
· Deliver training and briefing sessions on the Codes and on alcohol social responsibility. This includes delivering sessions virtually and in person within the UK.
· Responsible for responding accurately and promptly to written requests for advice on product marketing from producers and their agencies alongside other members of the Regulatory Affairs Team.
· To raise standards of responsibility in the industry by undertaking proactive trademark searches of newly registered products and providing unsolicited advice where necessary.
· With the support of the team, provide internal and external reporting analysis of advice requests on a monthly basis.
· Monitor product innovations via social media and press publications to identify emerging trends and provide unsolicited advice where necessary.
· Support the team in drafting blogs, newsletters, industry advice pieces and an annual Regulatory Affairs Report.
· Support the team in wider regulatory communications, including distribution of content.
· To support the Regulatory Affairs team more widely by:
o Attending industry events;
o Assisting with the recruitment of new Code Signatories;
o Providing project support as required.
· To be flexibly deployed on any other work as required by the Director of Regulatory Affairs or Chief Executive, taking into account the needs of a small organisation.

World Cancer Research Fund International (WCRFI) leads and unifies a network of cancer prevention charities based in Europe and the Americas. Our shared vision is a world where no one develops a preventable cancer.
WCRFI is responsible for the Global Cancer Update Programme (CUP Global) which is our global cancer prevention and survival programme focussing on the links between diet, nutrition, physical activity and cancer. Forming the cornerstone of all our work, the project is the only authoritative scientific resource of its kind in the world.
We are seeking a Head of Research Interpretation who will be responsible for managing the delivery of CUP Global. You will chair the CUP Global Secretariat and also provide support to the Assistant Director of Research and Policy and the Director of Research, Policy and Innovation in the oversight and strategic direction of the programme of work. You will also contribute to other projects such as ensuring that the WCRF network has the latest global cancer statistics, including new estimates of the preventability of cancer.
You will be educated to PhD level, with ideally at least 2 years postdoctoral experience in a research environment, in a relevant area (e.g. nutrition, cancer, epidemiology, public health). You will have a good understanding of public health and epidemiology, nutrition and/or cancer and have experience of conducting and/or interpreting systematic reviews. You will have strong people management skills, with direct line management experience.

The Avicenna Foundation was set up in 2023 to to support outstanding young British Muslims by providing them with scholarships for their undergraduate degree. About the role:
This role is for an events person who can support our training and development courses. These courses are delivered either face-to-face or hybrid and are often delivered by a team of the organisation’s members. We use tools such as WebEx, MS Teams and Slido to support the delivery. · Oversee the effective roll-out of strategic projects, partnerships and resources to food banks across South England and Wales, in collaboration with other Directorates, that help to reduce the need for food banks and tackle the underlying drivers of poverty.
· Work with the Strategy & Impact team and Policy, External Affairs & Research teams to ensure effective cross-departmental working on network facing policy and research opportunities, church engagement, external partnerships and impact reporting.

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Safeguarding professional with a strong interest in protecting adults at risk and children from within the wider Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Community?
Based within our Helpline Services team, you’ll have responsibility for:
- responding to concerns reported by staff and volunteers
- leading the coordination of responding to safeguarding concerns
- dealing with safeguarding issues (as they arise) and liaising with statutory services as needed
- giving advice and support to colleagues and our volunteers in relation to safeguarding and disclosure checking
- working collaboratively with colleagues across the MS Society
- liaising with external safeguarding agencies
- embedding organisational safeguarding policies, procedures and practices.
You’ll have experience of working in a safeguarding customer-facing environment within the Charity or Public Service sectors. You’ll have proficient administrative and IT skills with the ability to work accurately and consistently. You’ll ideally have had experience in supporting vulnerable people in person, over the phone and/or online.
An understanding of safeguarding within the charity or public service sectors is essential.
A satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Check without barring list check will need to be obtained to undertake this role.
