At Ronald McDonald House Charities UK we build and run Houses that provide a ‘home away from home’ for families who have a sick child in hospital.

We are recruiting for a House Manager at our Ronald McDonald House situated in the grounds of University Hospital, Cardiff. This is a permanent position for the right candidate who is self-motivated, enjoys working as part of a team and will share our vision of wanting to keep families close to their sick child.  You will lead the House team to ensure that the highest standards of family-centred care is delivered to all families and will set clear expectations for standards of work for the team and their development.

You will be a proactive and positive individual with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills with the welfare and wellbeing of the families and staff at the forefront of all your work.

Reporting in to the Regional Operations Manager, you will strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for our families to stay in during difficult times. The role is diverse and duties include management of the day-to-day duties associated with communal living, ensuring the premises are well-maintained, supervising employees, volunteers and other visitors. Managing office tasks and all administrative matters including computerised and manual systems and keeping up-to-date with matters of governance and compliance.

This is a great opportunity for someone with operations experience and line management experience or ready for the next challenge in his or her career.
