Check NowAs our Regional Programmes Manager, you’ll inspire and lead our team of remote-based Senior Project Workers and Project Workers to effectively deliver high-quality support services for kinship families across the North of England and some parts of the Midlands. You’ll do this by working in close collaboration with local authority teams across the North and the Midlands who have commissioned our services. You’ll also develop effective partnerships with other local authorities to secure commissions and generate income for services.
Your team will deliver the following programmes:
- Kinship Ready – online workshops to prepare new and prospective special guardians for their role, as well as wraparound one-to-one support
- Kinship Reach – remote one-to-one support and virtual support groups
- Kinship Connected – in-person one-to-one support and support groups in the community
This role is home-based with travel across the North and Midlands, as well as other parts of England and Wales from time to time.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop strong partnerships with organisations and community groups in the sector, identifying opportunities to collaborate and share good practice.
- Develop and maintain relationships with commissioners and ensure KPIs, targets and reporting requirements are met for contracts and grants within your remit.
- Represent Migrant Help at key sector meetings, network events and pitches as required.
Strategic Programmes

Collaborative Working

The role -

The Programme Manager – Global Equality Project (GEP) supports the delivery of WFD's funded Commonwealth-wide programme focussed on expanding the participation of women, girls, and LGBT+ persons in political and societal decision-making processes in over ten countries across the Caribbean, Pacific, Asia and Africa.
Under the guidance of the Director – Global Equality Project (GEP) and working in collaboration with WFD staff across the organisation, the Programme Manager is responsible for ensuring that the implementation of projects and programmes meet the WFD's highest standards.
They will take responsibility for the management of in-country programming within designated GEP country(s),
- contribute to the design of programming, managing budget forecast and activity-based budgets, activities and operating plans and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL).
- coordinate key GEP research and regional and international GEP events
- be the administration and communication bridge between country-based offices and UK teams, liaising with relevant Embassies in-country, grantees, and other programme stakeholders and across countries where WFD has projects and programmes as required
- build solid relationships with stakeholders, partners, and donors at all levels

The role
The role involves delivering allocated projects. This may include projects that are part of due process or involve the assessment of new or amended IFRS for UK endorsement or research projects. Projects (unless very small) are usually allocated to a small technical team, which the Project Director will be expected to manage.
Other duties will include:
- Developing a project plan with key milestones and clearly set responsibilities.
- Co-ordinating and reviewing the work of allocated project teams
- Engaging with the international debate including the IASB's proposals and decisions, identifying and analysing any issues and concerns, and developing solutions, together with relevant technical arguments to support your analysis.
- Gathering evidence and assessing stakeholders' views on the project and any proposals e.g. by performing desk-based research on the existing material, outreach with stakeholders and other standard setters, using formal and informal means as appropriate. This may include presentations to stakeholders.
- Preparing and presenting high-quality technical papers for the organisation, discussing with project team and Technical Director, and revising as appropriate, within project deadlines.
- Developing draft comment letters and draft Endorsement Criteria Assessments for input from organisation and for public comment.
- Preparing impact assessments and Feedback Statements, as appropriate to the stage of the project.
- Arranging for publication of documents.
The Person:
A relevant professional qualification and at least five years post qualification experience are required. The ideal candidates will have:
- Good knowledge and understanding of the financial reporting environment for listed companies and a keen interest in IFRS.
- Ideally, experience in technical accounting work or standard-setting or the ability to demonstrate a clear interest in these activities.
- Superior written and communication skills.
- Ability to create and maintain key external relationships.
- Ability to interact effectively and respectfully with stakeholders.
- Ability to analyse competing positions and develop practical solutions.
- Experience within utilities and/or financial services is desirable (although not essential)
