We are currently seeking a highly organised and motivated individual to join our small and dynamic team at Malaria No More UK.

As a Business Support Officer/Administrator, you will provide general administrative support to the Operations team and assist the wider Malaria No More UK Team. Additionally, you will serve as the first point of contact for general enquiries and provide PA duties to the CEO and Leadership team. Key responsibilities

- Responsible for office supplies and facilities.

- Assist the other teams with general support, mailouts (using Salesforce) and more.
- General administrative tasks for the organisation.

Qualifications, skills and experience
Essential
- Excellent IT skills, confident in using Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point and Databases.
- A demonstrably good level of numeracy and literacy.
- Experience working in a support role for a busy team.
- Confident and effective communicator – verbally and in writing.
- Experience of working with external suppliers.
- Extremely well organised and able to manage own workload.

We are looking for a motivated, creative, and organised Engagement and Communications Officer to join our team. The Engagement and Communications Officer will work to maximise income and support for JUSTICE through events (approximately 45% of the role), communications (approximately 30% of the role) and membership (approximately 25% of the role). The Felix Project
The Felix Project is London's biggest food redistribution charity and the largest end-to-end food redistribution charity in Europe.
Our vision is a London where no one goes hungry and good food is never wasted.
We rescue surplus food from businesses, supermarkets, restaurants and farms. This food is nutritious, in-date, and safe and includes a high proportion of fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and fish. If we did not rescue this food, it would be at risk of going to waste. Instead, we deliver it free of charge to London charities, schools, food banks, food hubs and other organisations serving people in need. Our food is a vital lifeline for children and families, people on low incomes, people who have lost their jobs, the homeless, refugees, domestic abuse survivors, the elderly and keyworkers.
We are a very ambitious and dynamic young charity and we haven’t stopped growing since we were founded in 2016 in memory of Felix Byam Shaw, by his father, entrepreneur Justin Byam Shaw. We recently ran a very high-profile media campaign with the Evening Standard and Independent, raising £10million to feed London. We have celebrity endorsement from Reece James, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Jack Whitehall, Steven Fry, James May and many others.
Last year we delivered enough food for 30 million meals to help people in need. Because nearly all the food we receive is donated by the food industry and volunteers, every £1 of expenditure redistributes £10 worth of food.
Purpose of the Job
The role is subject to a degree of flexibility but initially, the Team Leader will be involved with the following activities:
- Managing a team of staff and volunteers to run a warehouse of chilled and ambient food
- Customer relations management of the community organisations we work with
- Proper use of our Warehouse Management System
- Physically moving stock around on warehouse on a pallet truck or by hand
- Ensuring the warehouse is clean, safe and efficiently run
- Daily briefings of staff and volunteers of the days priorities and what to be aware of
- Carry out regular stock counts of food we are storing
- Appropriately handle product recalls
- Day to day problem solving
- Covering Goods In, Warehouse Management Duties and Goods Out and general procedures
- Responsible for yourself and your team’s adherence to Health and Safety regulations

What is the role about?
A new project to support survivors of Domestic Abuse named 'SAFER' means we have a vacancy in the Administration Team. Undertaking a range of administration tasks to support the Kent Team in their day to day operations helping people affected by crime. Using a range of databases to enter or retrieve information, communicating with colleagues, the police and other agencies by e-mail and telephone and receiving and responding to internal and external queries and referrals.
You will need:
Our ideal candidate is someone who is resilient, confident, happy to work as part of a team and willing to constantly learn and adapt to new situations. They will enjoy being a part of a busy and varied working environment and can demonstrate an ability to communicate with both colleagues and external partners including investigating officers. Bonny Downs Community Association has been working together to change lives and transform our community since 1998. Over the past 25 years our team has grown to provide a wide array of services that benefit Newham residents from all walks of life.
This role is specifically funded through the Youth Endowment fund as a pilot project ‘Thriving Communities’. You will be required to work alongside Thriving Communities commissioners, as well as the project’s Youth Justice Worker’s, Educational Psychologist, and/or professionals assigned to individual young people’s cases- such as teachers, social workers and mentors. The Thriving Communities project is a small part of a wider collaborative project, EMPOWER YOUTH, delivered by two partner charities so, although this position is based at BDCA, you will be working closely with a second East Ham Youth Partnership Project lead and team of Sessional Assistants based at nearby charity The Renewal Programme (TRP). Staff from each organisation will work together to deliver the programme and cross-refer young people to activities led by both teams. You will also be required to work with BDCA’s own Children & Families team during the summer scheme and liaise with our marketing team all year round. External partner agencies that you will work directly with include Thriving Communities panel, Newham Youth Empowerment Service, Newham Community Engagement Team, local sports clubs and schools.

Campbell Rd Young Peoples service provides support and housing for 55 young people in Tower Hamlets that are either leaving care of affected by youth homelessness. The Support Worker role will be to manage a caseload of approx 7-10 young people .You will be expected to deliver positive outcomes for all our young people and support them to reach independence, keep safe and maintain their tenancy's. Aside from support workers delivering support there is a strong element of housing management associated wit this role, for example managing rents, raising/monitoring repairs and health and safety.
