Location: Homebased with regular travel required to support children and young people in foster families throughout the North Wales area, including Wrexham, Flintshire, Denbighshire, Conwy, Anglesey, Gwynedd and north Powys and possibly parts of Ceredigion. Travel also requires the postholder to attend staff meetings and team away days.

As an Engagement and Activity Practitioner with TACT Cymru, you will be a part of our amazing team of professionals working with our organisational values at the heart of their everyday practice.
Overall Duties of the Engagement & Activity Practitioner will include:
- Being an accessible point of contact for the children living with our carers and to our young people, keeping them up to date with the facilities and opportunities available with TACT.
- Supporting interventions and activities to ensure stable placement arrangements.
- Being able to transport children and young people to events, appointments and meetings (mileage reimbursed).
- Organising and participating in virtual and face-to-face events and occasional residential meet-ups.
- Managing all paperwork associated with events and activities.
- Willingness to work flexibly, according to deadlines and needs of our families.
- Undertaking trauma-informed direct work with children and young people.
- Liaising with our Supervising Social Worker team.

The successful candidate will be required to attend regular face-to-face meetings at least quarterly in South Wales and and attend other face-to-face meetings such as training and team wellbeing events as well as meeting with children and young people in person around the North Wales and north Powys region.
An Enhanced DBS clearance is required for this role and will be processed by TACT on your behalf.
Proficiency in the Welsh language is desirable though not essential.

About the role:
As an Outreach Worker, your role will be to assist your allocated young people in tasks that will enable them to live independently. This support will involve advice, general help and moral support, financial assistance (advice about bill payments etc) and working with young people on completion of education awards (AQA). You will be expected to work with multiple agencies to deliver holistic packages of support.
This role includes travelling to various locations to carry out support sessions with young people.
You will be expected to provide key work sessions for young people as per their placement agreement. These sessions are to be structured so that the young person can be assisted in accessing local resources, budgeting, and assisting them with gaining appropriate life skills. Using outcomes stars as a tool and completing the progress on the interactive website.
You will be expected to keep a diary of all contact with each young person and professional and to complete Outcomes Star reports on the young person which are sent to placing workers. These reports contain information about the young person and the work that has been completed with them. It highlights areas of need to help to focus key work.
It will be necessary to attend meetings such as child protection conferences, review meetings and other meetings that are deemed necessary in providing the high-quality service that is expected by local authorities and stakeholders and to ensure service delivery meets young people’s needs. You will be offered support if required when attending these meetings.

You will have an established track record of marketing and communications work, including digital and social media, and an ability to write and edit copy for different audiences. You will manage website updates, social media posts, e-newsletters and news releases, and have a proven ability to develop and execute an impactful marketing and communications plan. As a small charity, this post is very much “hands-on” and requires an ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at a time. Bank Support Workers have the ability to accept any shifts available on an ad-hoc basis across from all of Look Ahead's specialisms including Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Homelessness and Young People. Bank Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices. Within Learning Disability services, this will include providing physical, domestic, emotional and social care. Within Mental Health and Homelessness services they will enable vulnerable people living in a variety of different tenures to manage their tenancies/ licences and move towards greater independence within the community by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package.
While carrying out activities, Bank Support Workers should deal with all customers, visitors and staff in a professional and appropriate manner and report to Look Ahead staff and management any observations relating to customers' welfare.

About the Role:
As a new role for SocEnv, this is a fantastic opportunity to shape and establish the delivery of the Society’s engagement with training and education providers. Through the development of underpinning vocational and technical pathways to registration, including recognition of education, apprenticeship, and development programmes, you will contribute to the overarching goal of sustainability through environmental professionalism. About the position
The Just Energy Transition and Natural Resources programme is focused on advancing human rights in business, in support toa fast and fair transition to clean energy and zero carbon economies. We seek to promote human rights across the renewable energy and batteries value chain. We are focused on mining for transition minerals, the installation of renewable energy where the fast transition is increasingly endangered by companies’ poor human rights record and policies, the lack of investor due diligence, and the absence of adequate regulation. A just transition will be one that, at minimum, ensures respect for human rights, fair negotiations, and shared prosperity with workers and communities.
The successful candidate will help lead strategic research and analysis on the renewable energy value chain from a corporate accountability perspective. This will include generating new insights and propositions for a more just energy transition through the analysis of structural causes of corporate abuse in these supply chains. In particular, the researcher will help us deepen our efforts to embed human rights, and protect and amplify the voices of human rights defenders, as an essential part of the response to the climate crisis, and a core component of the global work towards a just transition. As the Resource Centre expands its advocacy on improving the human rights policies and practices of companies in the renewable energy value chain, the senior researcher will play a key role in supporting:
- Research on community engagement, community equity models and other forms of benefit-sharing – focusing in particular on (i) unpacking cases and recommendations for ‘meaningful engagement’ with communities in the context of transition minerals mining projects, (ii) examples of Indigenous co-ownership and ownership of renewable energy and mining projects;
- Regional teams in their work on local just transitions and evidence of corporate abuses in the context of the current boom of exploration, licensing of transition minerals mining projects;
- Advocacy towards and engagement with investors and their coalitions on our just energy transition messaging and core products - Transition Minerals Tracker, Renewable Energy Benchmark, and investor guidance;
- Development of policy recommendations on the just energy transition from a business & human rights perspective; and
- Representation of the programme in key civil society fora and coalitions.

Essential skills and experience

This role will need to start around the 22nd April for a handover with the current postholder. The post can be 3, 4 or 5 days per week but on the understanding that this be hybrid based with the need to attend their numerous sites, depending on alumni events.
