As Major Gift Development Manager, you’ll:

The Senior Policy Manager plays a vital leadership role in the team management and delivery of ARUK’s influencing strategy. The postholder will be experienced at managing people to achieve impact and working across multiple projects.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Leadership of the Policy team, line managing four Managers and a team of around 9 people.
· Manage the day-to-day budgeting and reforecasting process with an expenditure budget of circa £200,000 ensuring that the team operates cost effectively in meeting its objectives.
· Provide a high level of expertise on dementia and dementia research across the organisation and externally, through leadership of the policy team.
· Develop, manage and deliver a substantial programme of high-quality policy analysis and proposals for change.
· Lead the delivery, from conception to launch, of influential policy publications of the highest quality that have significant external and media impact.
· Leadership of working groups to deliver the strategic and influencing priorities for ARUK.
· Responsible for producing and maintaining policy briefings for senior colleagues, often at short notice, to support their attendance at meetings with key stakeholders.

Policy development

· Identify policy areas in which ARUK is seeking greatest action and develop strategies to influence and effect positive change, ensuring a coherent narrative and strategy sitting across our various programmes of policy work.
· Commission strategic research projects or commission analysis to further the aims of the organisation.
· Responsible for working closely with the Information and Involvement team to ensure the involvement of people affected by dementia in the development of ARUK’s policy priorities and positions.
· Overseeing the timely delivery of effective and credible policy outputs of the highest quality – including reports, briefings and discussion papers.
Stakeholder relations and influencing
· Support the development of the department’s influencing strategy and deliver policy work that provides a strong evidence base and clear recommendations for Alzheimer’s Research UK.
· Work across the organisation to develop good forward planning and stakeholder management processes and mechanisms that help us to manage and derive insights from key organisational relationships and maximise the impact of our influencing work.
· Represent ARUK to a range of decision-makers and stakeholders; this will involve participating in public events, making presentations and acting as a media spokesperson.
· Build relationships with civil servants, academics, dementia organisations, think tanks and other key stakeholders, establishing opportunities for partnership working and commissioning new insights
· Work with the Senior Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager to develop a synergistic Public Affairs and Campaigns strategy that embeds and exploits our policy work

As a Senior Demand Generation Manager for the Royal Society of Chemistry, you will lead our demand gen efforts overseeing the planning and in-house execution of our digital programs which will be a new approach for the RSC.
This role is about bringing all digital channels together to drive demand and acquisition generate qualified leads and drive revenue growth. You will help us define, execute, measure and refine a compelling and effective revenue plan for our x4 key RSC strategies, and will own the delivery of top-of-the-funnel activity, MQL goals and revenue contribution attributed to marketing. The role will balance the need for driving often competing strategies and customer audiences’ outcomes, in an effective manner, creating a plan to deliver all acquisition targets, but publishing having a critical focus. You will represent Fauna & Flora in the region and ensure the effective management and technical delivery of projects in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, leading on the development of projects in these countries and elsewhere in Central Asia, working in close collaboration with Fauna & Flora’s teams and partners in the region.
You will have a proven track record in operational, project, grant and financial management at a similar senior level. You will be skilled in providing both strategic advice and technical input to the design, development, implementation and evaluation of projects.
Strong leadership and people management skills are essential to the role to ensure a professional and motivated team that delivers effectively against project aims, objectives and timelines. The NI is looking for its next Events Officer to oversee the setting up and online booking of a range of events – mainly conferences and dinners – as well as overseeing the subscriptions to its Journal. The role is a busy one and the person recruited with require good experience with events booking CRMs as well as working with volunteers and other team members in a small team.
Responsibilities
Main duties include:
Manage all event bookings administration, including:
o Set up of online booking for events through CRM
o Set up and maintain webpages for each event through CMS adding sponsor logos and additional information as required.
o Ensuring invoices for events are issued and paid, updating any on CRM that were issued manually including sponsorship events
o Ensuring relevant communications such as joining instructions are circulated to attendees
o Issue sponsorship contracts, invoices and monitor payments of same
o Providing support for delivery of events including producing delegate lists, dietary requirements etc
o Liaising with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure all events run smoothly.
