The Philanthropy Manager is an exciting role within the Philanthropy & Partnerships team which will identify, cultivate and maximise relationships with Major Donors and Family Foundations through research, networking, events, proposals, and excellent stewardship. Knowledge, Skills/Qualifications & Experience
- Identify, cultivate and develop a portfolio of Major Donor and Family Foundation prospects.
- Meet or exceed fundraising targets each year.

About the role:
This is a maternity cover opportunity for a valued role in our Senior Leadership Team. Your purpose
This year Voice 21 are recruiting to a newly formed Communications, Campaigns and Public Affairs department to help address these challenges. Projects Manager role description
The role involves identifying project and research opportunities; developing winning bids; project management and project delivery. Examples of recent projects include developing a water scarcity index for BSi and creating an evaluation framework for water saving campaigns. You will report to the Head of Policy and Strategy and be part of a small but growing sub-team winning and delivering water efficiency research projects. About This Job
This challenging role is responsible for the planning, selection, budgets, and delivery of HQ Army Cadet sponsored international exchanges, specifically including Exercises Oak and Maple Leaf (Canada), Ex Baltic Guard (Baltic States), the India international exchange and the Poland international exchange. Responsible for the planning, selection, budget and delivery of Army Cadet participation in national level ceremonial events including Festival of Remembrance, the Cenotaph Parade, national ceremonies, and state occasions.

What's the role about?

- Build effective relationships both within the RSPB and external to it that will enhance its reputation and ultimately secure funding. This includes understanding donors’ wishes and aspirations and identifying links with approved priority projects with the aim of securing substantial gifts.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Intermediate levels of fundraising as demonstrated by work successes and recognised fundraising courses
- Experience in how to research and cultivate a prospect. And understanding of how to write a cultivation strategy
- Ability to write funding proposals and prepare briefing documents in advance of meetings and events
- Competent in the use of a CRM system (Salesforce), the Microsoft suite, other databases, research tools and methods
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members, and people and teams outside of our department
- Good judgement when working with donors and ability to recognise potentially sensitive areas between prospects and the RSPB to ensure reputational values are maintained
