Salary: £19,299.60 - £22,705.20 (Full time equivalent £32,166.00 - £37,842.00) per annum (dependent on experience) +Benefits!

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Senior Bid Writer to join our Business Development team working on tender opportunities, tracking new and existing business and handling of new contracts for POhWER.
POhWER needs to increase and diversify its income to achieve greater financial sustainability. To do this we need to grow our services to reach new parts of the UK and new areas of work. However we also recognise the importance of retaining our existing contracts. To support this ambition we are looking for someone to support and work with our existing team.
Our Bid Writers coordinate the organisation’s response to all tenders. This includes re-tendering for our existing services as well as responding to tenders for services in new areas, or new services in our existing areas.
The role includes:
· Lead and co-ordinate tender activity ensuring that POhWER wins and retains new and existing services and contracts
· Take ownership of the bid response, style and format and overseeing it through the production process.
· Prepare and write tenders in a persuasive manner that takes full account of customer-specific style and content.
You will have excellent written communication, attention to detail and proof reading skills and a good knowledge of POhWER’s services. You will also have an ability to work to strict deadlines and a confident, flexible and positive attitude.

Project Manager Authors and Illustrators
Location: This post can be based in either our London office in Battersea or our Leeds head office, but if Leeds based would require regular travel to London for book events and meetings. BookTrust is a hybrid working organisation with the expectation of at least eight in person meeting days each month. There’s an additional requirement for occasional UK travel to engage with our users, partners and beneficiaries across the country and to connect with colleagues in our other hub locations.

We are looking for a knowledgeable, creative and super-organised children’s book expert to develop and project manage author and illustrator activities across the organisation, to bring to life the magic of children’s books to our partners, including thousands of frontline practitioners working with children aged 0-13 across the country. The role will lead on developing and managing every aspect of our BookTrust Represents virtual author visits to schools, and managing the BookTrust Represents author and illustrator community of writers and illustrators of colour. They will work closely and creatively with authors, illustrators, and stakeholders including primary school teachers, Early Years practitioners and BookTrust staff across many departments to help BookTrust achieve its strategic mission of bringing the benefits of reading to children in the greatest need, achieving long-lasting impact.
We are looking for a flexible, collaborative team player who wants to bring energy, ideas and experience to be an integral part of BookTrust as a centre of excellence for children’s books knowledge and reading.The ideal candidate will have an extensive understanding of and interest in authors, illustrators and children’s books and experience of communicating with creatives, publishers and teaching professionals. They will have experience of running a virtual community, or at least being part of one, ideally a community of creatives. They will have excellent project management skills, be highly organised and able to juggle lots of different projects effectively, delivering on time and to budget. They will have an infectious enthusiasm about books, reading, authors and illustrators.

As Operations Manager at AWN, you will play a vital role in managing and developing the operational business functions of the organisation to support the successful expression of All Ways Network’s (AWN) charitable aims. You will support the Board of Trustees in leading the charity and its staff, building relationships with stakeholders, and developing and implementing our long-term strategic plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Trustees to deliver and improve AWN’s strategic planning, annual operational planning, and budgeting process and ensure our vision and mission are effectively translated into operational goals and initiatives.
- Work closely with the Treasurer to manage the allocation of resources and oversee budgeting, fundraising and grant management.
- Lead on aspects of our HR function with the support of trustees, taking charge of our recruitment, personnel development and staff support.
- Maintain effective internal policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and manage organisational risks effectively.
- Support the Board of Trustees to maintain effective governance.
