In this role, you will play a vital role in overseeing our in-house and community-based Sport Project. Your aim: To help make physical activity accessible to those experiencing homelessness.

About the role:

As the Sports Manager, you will be responsible for The Sport Project. You will be overseeing the day to day running of the project and management of the team including Sports Coordinators, freelancers, volunteers, and peers. You will be leading on expanding the reach of the project, forming partnerships with like-minded organisation and charities and advocating for the importance of physical activity within the homeless sector.

In your role, you will also manage relationships for grant givers and funders, including being responsible for budgets, reporting and reconciliations. Additionally you will support the team in the wider role out of the project across the homelessness community, at time this may involve helping to deliver a proportion of physical activity and helping to engage wider groups of participants and staff.

The approach taken with clients will be psychologically informed, incorporating an understanding of complex trauma and addiction. The outcomes for your role, include developing positive and sustained relationships with external partners and helping to make physical activity accessible.

About you:

• Experience managing staff or volunteers and freelancers.
• Experience and knowledge of managing projects or partnerships.
• Experience working with people from a variety of backgrounds and in different settings.

In this pivotal role of Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the management and successful delivery of all hard and soft facilities services across the Lambeth Palace estate.

You will work closely with the Head of Facilities & Steward to implement Health and Safety compliance across the estate and make Lambeth Palace a safe and well managed environment for our residents, staff and visitors.

The Role

• Ensure the Lambeth Palace estate is managed to the highest possible standard, ensuring all areas are well presented, safe, secure and compliant for all visitors, residents and staff alike.
• Review and regularly ensure all agreed security measures are in place and are communicated accordingly.
• Ensure all works undertaken across the Lambeth Palace estate are safely assessed and authorised before they are carried out.
• Review Health & Safety risk assessment submissions relating to operations and buildings, identifying and ensuring any corrective actions are completed.
• Work closely with the Hospitality Team to ensure events are assessed properly and robust H&S procedures are in place.
• Manage compliance and ensure best practice in the following areas: asbestos management, fire control management, water systems management, working at heights, electrical compliance, mechanical compliance, lifts, H&S inspections, etc.
• Ensure the proactive management of all hard and soft facilities tasks including, but not limited to office moves, PPM, reactive maintenance, office services and statutory compliance.
• Ensure that all planned and reactive maintenance are undertaken and completed within agreed schedules, frequencies, and statutory requirements.
• Implement and manage facilities contracts SLA's.
• Manage, query and follow up Facilities related tasks.
• Manage all utility contracts, council taxes and licenses.
• Line manage and give day-to-day supervision, direction and motivation to the Facilities Co-ordinators, Facilities administrator and Assistant.
• Manage the Facilities Helpdesk on a day-to-day basis ensuring requests, complaints and questions via telephone, e-mail or in person are acknowledged and acted upon within appropriate timelines and are escalated where required.
• Support and develop best practice standards, procedures, processes and expectations and deliver them to provide a first-class work experience.
• Ensure consistently high levels of customer service are delivered for all hard and soft service facilities and maintenance issues.
• Liaise regularly with contractors, making sure disruption to the Archbishop's family, other residents, staff and Hospitality is minimised and work is completed as quickly as possible.
• Ensure effective communication with the Archbishop's family, other residents, staff, Garden and Hospitality Teams on all work affecting the estate.
• Monitor and report on the Palace's environmental impact and initiating methods to improve sustainability.
• Assist the Head of Facilities & Steward in financial/budgetary management, including verifying and arranging payment of contractors' invoices and reporting on the annual budget.
• Where authority has been delegated, progress the work of the Head of Facilities & Steward in their absence and within agreed parameters, including out of hours working when required.

The Requirements

Essential

Qualifications:

• Hold NEBOSH General Certificate.
• IWFM qualification or equivalent experience.

Skills/Aptitudes:

• Highly organised and efficient; able to prioritise and keep track of multiple projects.

Knowledge/Experience:

• Proven experience in hard and soft FM.
• Experience of leading, motivating and inspiring a team of facilities professionals to ensure that a diverse range of work is carried out.
• Experienced in leading H&S/compliance issues, including full management and organisation of health and safety records and systems.
• Practical experience of managing Health & Safety and carrying out risk assessments.
• Experience of dealing with a diverse range of stakeholders with a wide range of expectations, each requiring a different approach.
• Experience of overseeing a facilities Help Desk.

Circumstances:

• Whilst the NCIs are committed to wellbeing and work/life balance, a willingness and availability to work outside normal office hours (including some weekends) is required.
• Live within easy commuting distance to Lambeth Palace.
• Available to be contacted and/or attend the site out of normal working hours if required.

• IOSH Managing Safely Certificate.
• First aid at work trained.

This role is responsible for delivering the operational backbone of the ICA including the maintenance and upkeep of our grade one listed premises on the Mall. Overseeing a range of building management and operational duties, this person will ensure the facilities are fit for purpose, safe and secure, comfortable and in good state of repair. They will ensure operational policies and procedures are compliant with relevant legislation. They will also ensure IT and office management processes are effectively delivered. To succeed, the postholder must be proactive, hands on and work closely with all ICA staff and deeply understand the needs of curatorial, private hires, café bar and front of house departments to provide the best possible premises conditions for the ICA’s needs. They must also ensure positive relationships with external stakeholders.

Battersea Operations is currently in the middle of an exciting transformation programme, and we are now at the delivery stage. We will be undergoing significant change over the next two years by transforming our intake and rehoming processes and improving our customer experience to help more cats and dogs. To be successful, we need to help frontline teams transition to new ways of working and take on a new CRM system, with minimal disruption to the day-to-day job.

Within this role, you will co-ordinate and embed the implementation of change projects and processes required to successfully deliver our operational change programme. The role is pivotal to ensure we manage this change effectively within our cat and dog frontline teams (over 300 people). We are therefore looking for someone with proven experience implementing change and collaborating with a range of stakeholders.

This exciting role sits within the Impact and Charitable Programmes Department. The Department is responsible for ensuring charitable funding supports the highest quality projects within our funding priority areas of: research; patient and family experience; technology and medical equipment; hospital staff support; education; and environment (through supporting redevelopment projects and capital builds). The department is also responsible for monitoring and evaluating funded projects to ensure greatest impact, and providing support to fundraising teams with information on the projects the charity funds.

About You
You will have extensive healthcare, scientific and /or research management experience and be confident operating independently to develop and take projects forward. Role Overview:

We are searching for someone with excellent leadership skills to join us at our service in West London as Floating Support Team Manager. You will oversee our service that is based in Brent, including Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow and Kensington and Chelsea.

You will support our clients (caseload of up to 64 clients) who have slept rough or are sleeping rough, who have been supported by partners into their own tenancies. The aim of the service is to support clients to sustain their tenancies and:

• • Develop and maintain the skills to live independently
  • Manage finances including access to benefits and debt advice
  • Access a range of services and community facilities to meet their needs, including health care, treatment, mental health support, advocacy, floating support, befriending and social and leisure activities
  • Build on their individual strengths and assets to achieve the outcomes that matter to them in their move to independence and improve health and wellbeing.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the services deliver excellent and continuously improving project performance in line with the contracts for floating support in Southwark and Wandsworth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the service meets its contractual requirements
• Ensure staff undertake all activities and monitor performance
• Work with the Area Director to manage the team and deliver the service.
• Deal with clients who need help or advice, either by phone or on a drop-in basis.
• Monitor all support being provided to the clients, and provide direction where appropriate.

About First Step Trust:

First Step Trust (FST) is a registered charity providing access to work experience and employment opportunities for people (referred to as workforce) with mental health challenges, learning disabilities, a history of offending and other socio-economic disadvantages, with a key aim to provide opportunities for people who are not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET).

The charity currently operates a garage and a catering business, both focused on providing real-life work experience for these learners. FST has over thirty years' experience as a provider of employability programmes and has successfully run the commercial aspects of the business, creating a solid balance sheet with healthy reserves.

In recent years, FST has been exploring new ways of helping people overcome barriers to learning including, low levels of literacy/numeracy and debilitating anxiety in formal situations e.g. exams or interviews.

Through FST's ground breaking work using Virtual Reality (VR) to upskill our workforce members and engage learners in secure mental health facilities, we have recognised the potential of assistive and emerging technologies as a real game-changer for the people we work with. The technology enables us to do things never before possible. We have, with the support of Halfords Autocentres and the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), developed an innovative programme which offers high quality training in a safe environment that does not require any written work.

This led us to identify the need for new ways of enabling and 'scaffolding' learning that will combat some of the wider psychosocial barriers including 'fear of learning', the impact of e.g. learning disabilities, Autism, negative peer pressure and reoffending behaviours. A recent Resolution Foundation report suggests that current "low rates of training among the least educated are troubling, given international evidence showing that there are higher returns to adult education for these individuals." Research suggests that AI/ machine learning could help us overcome these.

We have been supported by two Ufi VocTech Trust grants to deliver VR supported training to these communities of learners furthest away from learning and work. The route to market for our products is into the automotive industry directly, but is also being commissioned by NHS and criminal justice/mental health services as a way to introduce those in secure environments to potential future work opportunities.

These digital developments form part of the charity's strategy for embracing digital innovation to better serve our client base and grow the market we are able to serve beyond those in our local areas.

About the role: 

As the COO, you will support the CEO in executing their strategic plans and directives, while overseeing the efficacy of the organisation’s strategy and implementing changes needed for the growth and development of the organisation. Ultimately your purpose is to support the continued success and growth of the organisation through good management, communication and relationship-building, without compromising on our commitment to working with people who use our service as colleagues..

About you: 

You will be a senior manager who has energy and drive as well as sound judgement. On top of a strong track record in an operational position, you will have the breadth of experience to oversee our operations strategy and systems, commercial activity, budget management, monitoring and evaluation and fundraising. You will have a proven track record of success in senior-level general or commercial management.  You will be a clear, analytical thinker who will strengthen the leadership of our charity. You will be an excellent manager of people, able to support people with varying skills and abilities, who may come from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Key objectives for this role:

Ensure the smooth running of all First Step Trust’s core operations including our commercial activities, people, budgetary control, fundraising, HR, office, facilities and IT.

Work closely with our CEO and Board of Trustees to lead on developing First Step Trust’s next 3-year business plan.

We are looking to recruit a Supported Accommodation Administrator to provide a welcoming environment and lead on the administration of systems that enables the Supported Accommodation services to operate effectively including: housing management, referrals, financial management and health and safety. This is an exciting role in our Supported Accommodation team that will be the first point of contact for the hostel and input information on the client database in order to ensure that all staff have timely and accurate information about residents. You will also assist the Registered Manager in recording and reviewing documentation in relation to the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and our registration and regulation under OFSTED. In addition to this, you will process voids (vacant rooms) in line with housing management procedures, ensuring that rooms are cleared and liaising with the Facilities Manager to ensure that rooms are habitable as soon as possible.

They are looking for an Office Manager to ensure the smooth running of the organisation and a suitable environment for the delivery of services on a full-time basis (35 hours a week) in their SW3 office, initially for 6 months with a possibility of becoming permanent.

You will be responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the workplace, including managing all office facilities, liaising contractors to ensure that the premises comply with legal obligations, sourcing and maintaining equipment, liaising with the IT provider to resolve IT issues, and updating the office manual. You will also contribute to the development of policies, update contracts and agreements, and support improvements to their service. The successful candidate will be a personable and reliable team player with experience of proposing and implementing changes to processes, knowledge of data protection regulatory requirements, and the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
