We are recruiting a Project Coordinator to oversee the delivery and development of a flagship Community Wellbeing Project, which operates in partnership with Brent Council. The project is a Community Hub hosted in a community space in Stonebridge (not in Sufra’s existing premises). Members of the project can access a Community Shop, a Community Café and Kitchen, and holistic support in the form of Advice casework and workshops. The objective of the project is to deliver food aid alongside wraparound holistic support in way that improves the financial, physical and mental wellbeing of its members, who are struggling with the cost of living.
This collaborative project has been made possible due to the support of multiple partners and has already proven highly successful. It is likely to form the basis of a new model of support for people experiencing vulnerabilities that will be replicated across Brent and possibly elsewhere in London.
The Project Coordinator will oversee the delivery of the project, ensuring both the shop and the café operate effectively and in accordance with agreed standards and procedures. The successful candidate will help shape the project in the months ahead, whilst supporting guests, collecting data, and monitoring and evaluating the project. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a busy and varied environment, managing multiple priorities at the same time. They will have experience in a customer-facing role, dealing with the general public and managing volunteers. It would be beneficial for the post holder to have experience supporting vulnerable people with complex needs from a wide variety of backgrounds. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for members that sign onto the pilot project, and will be representing the organisation to external partners. We are looking for a motivated and efficient person with willingness to develop her skills to join our Youth Service team to help grow the Youth Mentoring programme. The post holder will provide key monitoring and administrative duties, provide 1-to-1 support to mentors, and help with the overall running of the programme as stated by the Mentor & Parent Liaison Manager. The Youth Mentoring programme includes up to 120 mentoring relationships annually.

LifeSkills Coordinator, LifeSkills
Starting at £28,315 FTE per annum to £31,073 FTE per annum
Hours: 20-25 hours per week
Location: Homebased, based in the North West
The postholder will be expected to deliver face to face to face LifeSkills sessions within the North West, primarily but not exclusively in Greater Manchester. They will also be expected to travel occasionally to other areas of the country for meetings (eg team meetings).

About LifeSkills
The LifeSkills programme will offer groups of families the chance to come together to a trusted venue such as a children’s centre or community setting. As well as offering opportunities for families to spend quality time together and have access to healthy food, these sessions will offer LifeSkills workshops for parents and carers to build their confidence, social networks, financial and employability skills. Examples include but are not limited to overcoming setbacks, managing debt, boosting confidence to return to work, CV writing, interview skills. The aims of the LifeSkills programme are to support participants to increase their confidence and 21st century skills, move closer to training/volunteering/employment, improve their social networks, and grow their confidence to provide low cost and nutritious meals.
The role involves delivering LifeSkills sessions to groups of families in the Greater Manchester area. The postholder will also be the main point of contact for delivery partners hosting programmes (e.g. small charities, schools) and staff and volunteers delivering sessions, and be expected to respond promptly to a wide range of queries and requests for support. Examples might include, for instance, devising LifeSkills programmes for different cohorts, presenting to potential partners, devising risk assessments, recording data, and visiting and providing guidance and support for staff and volunteers delivering sessions in venues across the country.

Home-Start Stroud and Gloucester is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under five years of age. Volunteers offer regular support, friendship and practical help to families under stress in their own homes, helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown. Family Support Coordinators manage and supervise the support given by volunteers and work directly with families themselves. We also provide a wide range of group support for families (Best-Start, Bump-Start and Mothers in Mind) and specific support to dads/partners through our Dad Matters Gloucestershire Project.
Purposes of the job
- To maintain high standards of practice in supporting families within the Home-Start model and ethos.

Main Responsibilities
Support for families
- Receiving referrals and assessing needs of families across Stroud and Gloucester.
- Introducing families to appropriate support (such as signposting to specialist services or matching a family with volunteer support).
- Ensuring support to families is reviewed at regular intervals and at the end of Home-Start support, in line with current Home-Start guidance.
- Providing direct support to families when there are no volunteers available or where additional needs have been identified.
- Attending professional group meetings when necessary in order to support families and promote good working relationships with other agencies working alongside the family.
- To undertake designated responsibilities to safeguard and promote children’s welfare.
Managing Volunteers
- Recruiting, selecting and preparing suitable volunteers.
- Matching and introducing volunteers to families.
- Contribute as directed to the delivery of the Home-Start preparation course in full and to a high standard to all prospective volunteers
- Providing support, supervision and initial and on-going training opportunities for volunteers.
Supporting the work of the scheme
- Undertaking work as delegated by the Senior Coordinator to support the strategic management, development and future funding of the scheme.
- Supporting the implementation and review of all Home-Start policies and procedures.
- Complying with the scheme’s administration, monitoring and financial systems.
- Promoting the work of the scheme, as required by the Manager.
- Contributing to and supporting the development of the Home-Start network locally, regionally and nationally.
Working in Partnership
- Ensuring appropriate liaison with referrers and other professionals.
- Networking appropriately within the community.

We are now recruiting for the exciting new role of Family Support Coordinator. This role will organise and deliver Croydon Refugee Day Centre (CRDC)’s new Family Support Programme, including being responsible for 1-1 casework with families to support children into education, and overseeing our Family Support Volunteers.
You will work at CRDC’s centre as well as running weekly to fortnightly drop-ins at four asylum hotel sites across Croydon, working in partnership with other organisations, the accommodation provider, and CRDC staff and volunteers to identify and reach out to families new to the accommodation and families that might need extra support.
You will have the following responsibilities:
1.Offer practical, hardship support to families with children.
2.Build links with, refer and signpost families to other organisations that offer opportunities and support for children and young people.
3.Support and empower families new to the area (and the country) – by helping them understand and navigate UK educational and child-related systems – including supporting with in-year school applications and school liaison.
4.Support families transitioning out of the asylum system or area to find new support networks.
5.Work with the Operational Coordinator to run activities for children not yet attending school at our Wednesday Welcome sessions, and to run one-off outings and activities in school holidays.

7.Supervise and guide Family Support Volunteers within the team.

The Croydon Refugee Day Centre (CRDC) is a small but specialist, primarily volunteer-led organisation, with 25 years’ experience of supporting asylum seekers and refugees across Croydon and beyond. Our vision is that all asylum seekers and refugees across Croydon are able to integrate into and thrive in the UK. To this end, we support them both with their basic, practical needs and their mental health and well-being – as well as to develop the support networks, skills and experience they need to flourish.
Over the past few years, the number of asylum seekers and refugees in Croydon has increased dramatically, and CRDC is increasing its services and staffing to meet the new level of need.

We’re looking for a Family Support Worker to help transform the lives of parents and young children in Doncaster.
You’ll lead a small team providing families with children aged between 0 and 5 with short term, targeted support with a focus on reducing in equalities in child development/school readiness, improving parenting skills and improving health and wellbeing.

Role purpose
The MEAL Coordinator will travel with the emergency response team to deliver emergency shelter responses, to enhance programme quality and embed a culture of organisational learning and accountability. Sitting within the Programme Quality team, the MEAL Coordinator will play a significant role to strengthen participant voice and accountability, enable data driven decision making and help to identify best practice and innovative shelter solutions allowing people to recover and rebuild their lives.
The MEAL Coordinator will lead/support key processes that enhance programme/project delivery. They liaise with programme managers/emergency coordinators and partner organisations to provide technical support and ensure programmes/projects adhere to agreed processes, namely needs assessments, log frame development, robust and transparent community feedback mechanisms and the development of the MEAL plan. They will also provide technical input on data collection exercises, data analysis for routine monitoring exercises as well as designing/coordinating review /evaluation processes.
The MEAL Coordinator will play an important role in promoting organisational learning and embedding a culture of reflection, analysis, and learning. Working together with Programme Managers & Emergency field coordinators, they will ensure learning frameworks are in place so that lessons are learned (both positive and negative) are captured, responded to, and shared with peers. They will work closely with the Programme Delivery Team and Technical Specialists to identify and/or support the establishment of Action Research projects that will contribute to improvements and innovations within the shelter sector.
There is significant travel with this role (up to 50% FTE), and the post holder must be prepared to travel at short notice for up to two months at a time. The MEAL Coordinators may also be asked to contribute to the development of organisational policy papers on mainstreaming or technical areas such as cash programming.

Duties will include but not be limited to:
Project Support (70% FTE):
The MEAL coordinator is a core member of the project team and will work closely with the project lead to ensure project quality and accountability. They will lead processes or liaise with partners (depending on implementation model) to ensure ShelterBox standards are adhered to. Specifically, they will:
- Advise/Carry out needs assessments to inform project design
- Facilitate technical MEAL component of Organizational Capacity Assessments and support with the development of capacity strengthening plans for potential partners
- As relevant, support the delivery of Capacity Building Action Plans, through the development of appropriate resources/ providing in-person and remote training /mentoring on MEAL concepts and practice. This will also involve reviewing training courses/modules, developing resources, and providing training.
- Collaborate with partners and implementing teams to, support project/log frame development with clear outcomes/outputs and SMART indicators, in line with organizational reporting requirements
- Ensure robust MEAL plans are in place, and that SADD distribution data is robust
- Ensure robust and transparent community feedback mechanisms are functioning and support safeguarding processes
- Provide technical input/Lead data collection exercises (both quantitative and qualitative)
- Liaise with partners and implementing teams to ensure the MEAL Plans are operationalized and that the data/reports provided by partners are robust, verifiable and with the appropriate degree of objectivity.
- Ensure project documentation is up to date
- Support data analysis and the facilitation of learning and reflection based on findings that result in data-led decision making
- Coordinate/Facilitate/carry out end of project evaluation processes in line with DAC criteria.
- Ensure all projects/programmes are contributing to organisational KPI reporting. Develop and populate Information Management systems as appropriate.
- Liaise with the Grant Management team to ensure that all projects MEAL systems and processes are in line with donor requirements, and support programme managers to submit quality narrative reports in a timely fashion.
Knowledge creation and sharing (20% FTE):
- Ensure that each Project logframe, MEAL plan and Learning and Accountability Framework are up-to-date and facilitate continuous and conscious reflection and learning.
- Utilising M&E data, evaluation findings and wider sector understanding, develop thematic discussions to strengthen understanding within ShelterBox and in relevant Communities of Practice.
Infrastructure development (10% FTE):
- Contribute to the development of policies, SOPs and processes that strengthen project delivery and accountability.
- Ensure ShelterBox is abreast of new technological developments supporting information gathering and analysis, particularly methodologies that empower affected populations to communicate with ShelterBox and to share their insights enhancing participation.
Working Requirements: This role will support the design and implementation of rapid response emergency project that will demand prolonged travel (up to two months) at very short notice. For remote workers: travel to Truro HQ for collaboration weeks approx. 3 times a year, and additional meetings as requested.

JOB PURPOSE:
- Working to assess, plan and implement our programmes with chosen education partners within the community.
- Develop excellent relationships with our third party practitioners, staff, volunteers and work closely with our trustees. You will also develop excellent relationships with relevant external agencies and partners and communicate with them when appropriate.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To contribute to establishing support programmes within education settings and the community; focussing on the prevention of the development of mental illness and promoting good emotional wellbeing across the population.
- To support the delivery of mental health and wellbeing related programmes.
- To develop and promote collaborative multi-agency working practices by providing information and expertise to partners in professional third-sector, social care and medical services.

Burnhope Community Centre is a brand-new, purpose-built facility that opened in 2017. Following Covid we have seen substantial growth of our activities and projects that serve our community. We currently run two toddler groups per week, an after-school Kids Club, carpet bowls, a walking group, Pilates, Zumba, Keep moving and other fitness classes. We run a lunch club, bingo nights and several other activities. We have a much-needed Wellbeing Hub to support and signpost people with health issues. Recently we have started a group for those with fibromyalgia and similar conditions, supported by our Wellbeing Coordinator.

Burnhope is a rural ex-mining village near to Lanchester, four miles from Stanley and eight miles west of Durham. We have a population of 1,500 people with plans to add up to another 100 homes, including some social housing.
We are a CIO with seven trustees and five part time staff. Our building is new built, with car parking and some outdoor space, next to the Primary School. We have a small gym, a meeting room, kitchen, and main hall.
Our current coordinator has done an amazing job in fund raising and supporting our growth and we are looking for someone who can build on her work.
We are looking for someone with a heart for people, leadership ability, and fundraising skills who can relate well to the community, volunteers and staff, offer inspiration and lead in an agreed direction as we continue to develop our centre.
We are looking for someone who can work 20 hours per week, with the opportunity to do some work from home. Hours can be arranged with some flexiblity. The salary will be in the range £15-£20 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. We comply with EEO legislation.
