The Peer Support Coordinator will play a critical role in the delivery of Day One's Peer Support Service. The primary objectives are to ensure a high-quality service is delivered to our beneficiaries; to develop our regional peer support model; and to facilitate a positive volunteering experience for our lived experience volunteer team. Responsibilities will include the day-to-day coordination of peer support activity. This will involve sensitive communication with trauma-affected individuals to understand their needs and preferences, using this information to facilitate suitable peer support matches.
The postholder will contribute to building a diverse volunteer team by supporting the volunteer recruitment and induction processes. They will offer ongoing support, guidance and motivation to our volunteers, ensuring meaningful opportunities to engage with Day One. The postholder will support the Peer Support Manger to conduct regular reviews with volunteers to gather feedback on their experiences as well as supporting their personal and professional development.
The Peer Support Co-ordinator will monitor service delivery and volunteer activity to ensure it is operating within agreed policies and processes. To ensure we can evidence the success and quality of the service, a key aspect of the role will involve keeping accurate records of interventions as well as collecting regular evaluation/impact data and personal case studies.
You will be a compassionate individual, dedicated to ensuring the highest quality of support for our beneficiaries and volunteers alike. You will be empathic with strong active listening skills, able to demonstrate sensitivity and discretion in your communication with trauma-affected individuals. You will be adept at identifying individual’s support needs and have strong social/communication skills enabling you to facilitate appropriate and meaningful peer support matches. Possessing excellent organisational skills, you will thrive in the fast-paced and reactive environment of peer support service delivery.
You will be committed to maintaining high standards and have a keen eye for detail able to keep accurate records of interventions and collect evaluation/impact data with regularity. Additionally, you will have a proactive approach to building and supporting a diverse volunteer team. You will be a ‘people-person’, enjoy speaking with others, and have the knowledge and confidence to offer ongoing guidance and motivation to our volunteer team. Your ability to conduct regular reviews to gather feedback to support volunteers' personal and professional development will be essential in driving the continued success of our peer support service. The Peer Support In-Reach Service is a partnership between several local Minds. Peer Support Workers and Senior Peer Support Workers, who have direct lived experience of mental health issues, are working on in-patient wards in Croydon, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham and Wandsworth to provide recovery-focused peer support to people as they leave hospital and journey towards being settled in the community and living independently.
South East London Mind have a vacancy for a part-time Senior Peer Support Worker to join the team in Lewisham and line manage a Peer Support Worker.
The successful candidate will have personal lived experience of mental health problems, as well as experience of managing staff or volunteers. You will need to be able to travel around the local area to meet your clients in the community and work in hospitals.
You will use your lived experience to help people build skills to develop independence, connect with family and friends, pursue social or vocational interests, get more involved in their local community and stay healthy and mentally well. Your support will be person-centred and may include mentoring, coaching, facilitating access to community activities and providing practical and emotional support. You will meet people before they leave the ward and work with them to develop their own support plan, empowering them as they transition back into the community.

Due to the rapid expansion of Day One Trauma Support over the last three years, the charity’s infrastructure has needed to respond quickly to meet its changing demands. There is now a requirement to ensure that the Finance and Resources team has the right skill set and capacity to provide the support needed by the charity in an efficient and proactive way.
The HR Officer and Executive Assistant role is a newly created position to reflect both the growing HR needs of the charity as the workforce expands, and the executive support required by the CEO and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to ensure the efficient and effective running of the charity. About you:

Colostomy UK is a national charity that offers support and advice to people who have had stoma surgery (ostomates) and to their friends, families and carers. Our projects empower ostomates to return to sports, hobbies and other activities after their surgery and give them the confidence to take on fresh challenges. About the role:
As the Volunteers and Support Administrator you will provide efficient administration to our support services and volunteer team. Home-Start Lambeth offers a unique service, recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers to support families with pre-school children on a regular basis. Our staff and volunteers provide friendship and practical help to families experiencing stress or difficulties, including poverty, post-natal depression, domestic abuse, mental ill-health, isolation, and other challenges leading to crisis.

About the role:
We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker (maternity cover, up to 12 months) to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Southampton Care Team.
Reporting to the Family Support Manager working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness
Having worked in a stressful and emotional environment you will have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss, and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.
What we’re looking for:
· An experienced child health, education or social care professional - applications will be particularly welcome from those who have worked in a community environment and those with a recognised qualification in education, health or social care.
· A warm, inclusive approach to achieving goals quickly and correctly.
· Practiced in child protection, information sharing and the rules around data protection - you lead by example, drawing on your own professional experience and working within established guidelines.
· Practical and people-oriented - you will thrive working at a fast pace whilst maintaining accuracy and be a confident user of IT (including MSOffice)
· A persuasive and open communicator, you will work collaboratively with your team and volunteers to ensure delivery of a high-quality service and support fundraising colleagues by writing case studies and family updates

The role
As a member of our corporate services directorate, you will be proactive in maintaining quality and high availability IT systems by providing first and second-line IT support to over 350 staff across 4 offices and around 200 associates in a smaller capacity. This includes user management, telephone system administration, backups, software compliance, hardware refreshes, documentation, and user training. - Develop and resource a youth group in the local parish church, and a Messy Church worshipping community.
- Bring to life new volunteer-led initiatives for engaging children and their families with their local church community.
- Catalyse the launch and ongoing development of a new intergenerational worshipping community in the wider deanery, with support from an existing Children and Families Mission Enabler (CFME) and local stakeholders.
