About the Role:
You will be part of our administrative team providing support across a range of functions within the HS; managing Excel spreadsheets, inputting and raising invoices; managing calls to and from a range of people including those bereaved by homicide and generally supporting the Homicide Service to run smoothly. You will be able to demonstrate the excellent organisational skills essential to managing a demanding and diverse workload.
We support staff and volunteers to keep them safe within their role and you will given all the training you need to be able to manage your role effectively. This role can at times be emotionally challenging and so as with all staff within the Homicide Service, you will be expected to engage with clinical supervision and supervision with your line manager.

The position:
The primary focus of the position is to support the operational side of the organisation and the Managing Director. You’ll need to be good at multitasking and highly collaborative.

Hours:
This is a part time position of 28 hours per week over 5 days (or some of these days) with the working pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate.
From 1st July 2024 we are piloting a four day working week across the whole of the UK organisation. This pilot is planned to run for 12 months, at which point a decision will be made by our Board of Trustees as to whether this will become permanent. Success of the trial relies on the organisation being able to achieve the same or improved level of impact in four working days as five, with staff experiencing either the same or improved levels of wellbeing.
During the four day week pilot, working hours for this position will be reduced proportionately to 22.5 hours per week, spanning Monday to Thursday (or some of these days), with no reduction in salary. This will be a temporary change to the contractual terms with the successful candidate. The appointed person must be prepared to increase their working hours to 28 hours per week if a return to a five-day working week is decided.

About the role
Mission Without Borders is seeking an experienced Salesforce Support Specialist to focus on three key areas; Salesforce Administration, training, and process documentation.
As a Salesforce expert and product champion, the post holder will be the first point of contact for Salesforce support and training across all staff in all 18 countries. They will triage incoming tickets, provide support, fix problems, make configuration changes, and work closely with the Salesforce Developer and Product Owner to manage change requests.

What will you be doing?
As a Financial Controller you will lead and manage the finance team, ensuring high levels of customer service, accuracy, and reliability. You will lead on recruitment, induction, and appraisal of designated staff, providing effective communication, training, and mentoring to enable staff to carry out duties.

This is a Financial Controller role so we would expect candidates to possess a recognised CCAB accountancy qualification, but we are open as to whether this would be ACA / CIMA / ACCA or CIPFA and this will run alongside previous experience within a similar role.
