About the role
As our Senior Finance & Operations Officer, you will be at the heart of our organisation’s success. Working closely with the Director, Finance and Operations, you will help to manage financial processes, streamline operations, and ensure both our UK and EU teams are properly resourced to drive our mission forward. You will interact daily with a broad range of stakeholders in the UK and the EU including senior level staff, external consultants and suppliers in the while also working closely with Finance, HR & IT colleagues in the US.
Key responsibilities
Financial Management (30%)
- Support on day-to-day financial activities including financial reporting, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Develop and implement best practices to optimise operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and monitor project budgets.
- Support decision-making through insightful financial analysis.
Operational Support (40%)
- Be the first point of contact for all enquiries from the campaigns and fundraising teams in the UK and EU.
Contracts Lifecycle Management (30%)
- Oversee the lifecycle of all supplier contracts: creation, submission and signing. (Legal contract knowledge is not required.)

You will be a dynamic individual with a can-do attitude who has a proven track record of juggling competing priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The role is varied and has a significant financial element so strong numeracy skills, a solid knowledge of financial management principles paired with good communications skills are important. IAG Delivery and line management
· To be accountable for achieving agreed outcomes, outputs and personal targets – including recruitment, employability training and learner progression targets
· To manage a caseload of participants requiring Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG), confidence building and employability training
· Completing appropriate action plans and reviews with participants

Key Objectives for the Elders Core Service Manager Role:

We are praying for a talented Director of Finance, Property and IT to join our Leadership Team. You will be inheriting a skilled and diverse team across the finance, property and IT functions, with the possibility to grow this team, as needed, to fulfil your responsibilities.

About this role
The role of the Finance and Payroll Manager is to support the Development and Finance teams to manage and report on restricted income, as well as to manage monthly in-house payroll under the guidance of the Head of Finance. This involves ensuring that we are maximising the use of restricted funding, and that money is spent in line with donors’ wishes and that staff are paid accurately and on time each month. The Finance and Payroll Manager will work within a small Finance team under the supervision of the Head of Finance. They will work closely with the Joint ED, wider Senior Management Team, Head of Development and budget holders throughout the organisation.
They will support the Head of Finance with annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting as well as with the production of the monthly management accounts. They will support the Development team in making grant applications and develop restricted grant budgets for newly secured grants for integration into the organisational budget; they will meet regularly with the Development team and budget holders to review restricted project spend. They will produce reports for funders working in conjunction with our Development Team and casework teams. Contract and location
