Overall Duties of the Finance Manager will include:

• Implementing and Maintaining financial controls across the organisation

Snow Camp is a ground-breaking national youth charity, and we are looking to recruit a fantastic new North West Wellbeing Manager and Programme Support to join our North West team on a 4 day a week contract (30 hrs).

Our accredited programmes are unique and attractive to young people, taking them from beginner to qualified snowsports instructors in just one year with volunteering and apprenticeship progression routes available at the end. Alongside learning to ski or snowboard, young people also have access to wellbeing support with the emphasis on improving young people’s mental health and wellbeing.

You will report to the North West Programme Manager & Head of Snowsports and will be responsible for the delivery of our wellbeing workshops and providing 1to1 wellbeing support sessions to young people. You will also work as part of the North West team to assist with the planning and delivery of snowsports and life-skills focused youth activities run by the Programme Manager and assist with the apprenticeship programme throughout each year.

Experience of working successfully with under-served young people in a range of settings, with a focus on supporting young people’s wellbeing will be essential to the post. Passion for snowsports and supporting young people generally will be a huge advantage!

Youth work, wellbeing support experience, project management, logistical skills, managing relationships, communication and presentation skills will make up the role. Along with experience of delivering group workshops to help young people work towards meaningful goals to improve their emotional wellbeing.

Job Description

• You will spend roughly 2.5 days will be in the Wellbeing Manager role and 1.5 days will be in the Programme Support role each week.
• In consultation with the Programme Manager, to manage the delivery of the Wellbeing Workshops and 1to1 mentoring support needed for young people and apprentices.
• Work with the programme manager to gain the young people’s trust and confidence.
• To assist with delivery and development of The North West’s full snowsports focused journey of youth programmes which take place at Chill Factore.
• Build a good relationship with the North West Programme Manager to help provide support and guidance to young people.
• Support with the management of (currently) 3 x North West apprentices on their 1-year Snow Camp Apprenticeship programme. particularly helping to manage their wellbeing and signpost to other services where needed.
• Ensuring the apprentices have clear personal development plans and objectives.
• Provide effective and inspiring leadership to apprentices and young people.
• Providing weekly 1to1 support sessions for each apprentice.
• Having an understanding and an involvement in the development of their weekly working rotas.

• Use our UPSHOT online database system to keep records and ensure all monitoring and evaluation is carried out.
• Attend external training as required (e.g. Safeguarding and Mental Health Awareness tutor training courses).
• Ensure that all activities and provision you deliver is done safely and in line with organisational policies.
• Support the Programme Manager to ensure all programmes run smoothly and effectively by supporting the delivery of each programme – managing venue instructors, guest speakers, apprentices, youth staff, sessional staff and volunteers as required.

• Strong IT skills, understanding of digital communications, analysis of data and creating reports.

• Strong multidisciplinary project, programme and resource management skills with the ability to ensure delivery targets are achieved.

• Minimum 2 - 3 years in a management, leadership or operational delivery role within a not-for-profit, NGO, social enterprise, charity or similar organisation.

• Experience and success in leading, supporting, motivating and managing and coordinating a team  to work towards delivering an organisation's strategic goals

• Experience in building and maintaining effective partnerships and networks with external organisations.

The main purpose of the job is to ensure and deliver the co-ordinated and sustainable operation and future development of High Peak CVS as the infrastructure organisation for the voluntary and community sector in the High Peak of Derbyshire.

As Chief Executive Officer you will lead the charity to ensure we deliver a high quality service to the local community, our members and partners.

 MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide effective leadership, supervision and management to the staff and volunteer team, ensuring that appropriate targets are set and delivered.
• Negotiate, prepare and develop applications and contracts to enable the development of agreed projects and work programmes.
• Explore and appraise potential new initiatives for the CVS, providing detailed recommendations to the Board of Trustees/Directors.
• In conjunction with the Board of Trustees/Directors plan, develop, implement and monitor strategies to ensure the current and future viability of the CVS.
• Maintain and develop new and existing relationships with stakeholders from all sectors, providing leadership and direction.
• Provide effective, inclusive representation of the High Peak VCS in a wide range of forums.
• Carry out work in accordance with all external regulations and CVS policies and procedures, developing new ones where necessary.
• Work in collaboration with the Board of Trustees to ensure the organisation meets its legal obligations, operates within its charitable objects and has good management of its financial and staffing resources.
• Report to the Board of Trustees on internal and external developments.
• Ensure that the organisation has the appropriate management systems and structures in place to carry out its work effectively and safely.
• Contribute to writing grant applications for future projects and core work. Undertake training and development as required.

Advocacy 1st is a free, independent service provided by advocates who specialise in the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and the Mental Health Act.

Key duties:

· Recruiting, training and providing ongoing support to volunteers

· Working with the children and young people to assess their service requirements

· Working with stakeholders to raise awareness and recognise and identify care leavers and young people in need of the Independent Visitors and Care Leavers service

Salford Family Partnership Hubs are places within local communities across Salford offering services and support for children, young people and families.

Salford is a trailblazer area and will become the national leader for the Family Hubs and Start for Life Programmes, making the quickest improvements to services and sharing learning and best practices with all local authorities in the country.

Salford CVS has been working with Salford City Council’s Early Help Team on the first and second years of the Family Hub work. Our role has been consulting with communities through the Seeds of Change Box and Wishing Tree project, engaging Voluntary, Community & Social Enterprise (VCSE) Sector organisations and volunteers. We also manage a Family Hub small grants scheme providing small grants to VCSE organisations to support them in delivering their services as part of the Family Hub partnership.

We are seeking two dedicated Family Hub Navigators to work across the city of Salford to improve the wellbeing of parents and carers in the following cohorts:

• Young parents
• Fathers
• Families (communities of identity)

The Navigators will work with individuals to explore ‘what matters to them’, consider their strengths and interests, and identify an appropriate activity or service and connect them to it. The roles will be embedded within our wider Family Hub work and will link to our Wellbeing Matters Programme, which supports people to feel more connected to their community, more confident and less isolated by linking them to local groups and services.
