Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. We are a federation of over 170 organisations which provide just under 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across England. For almost 50 years we have campaigned on behalf of our members and survivors to shape policy and practice, and to raise awareness of domestic abuse.
Purpose of the People & Culture Assistant role:
To work as part of the People and Culture team to provide a professional, high quality, timely, customer focused HR recruitment/contractual administration/transactional service to key internal stakeholders, job applicants and support closely on people and culture activities especially the Learning and Development workstream.
Key duties and responsibilities of the People & Culture Assistant:
To provide high quality HR administrative support across the full spectrum of the employee lifecycle, including:
· Conducting pre-employment checks for new starters (references, DBS, Right to Work in UK)
· Recruitment administration (writing and posting adverts, shortlisting, arranging interviews)
· Absence management
· Preparation and issue of contractual documentation (including contract variations)
· Payroll updates
· Maternity/Paternity administration
· Administration of performance management and improvement systems (probation, Appraisals, PIP forms)
· Termination of employment (all categories, including writing leaver documentation and conducting Exit Interviews)
· Upkeep of electronically stored personal records
· Conducting regular HR Audit checks to ensure integrity of data is maintained
· Supporting the P+C Manager on all other aspects of HR administration
What we are looking for in our People & Culture Assistant:
· Experience of working in a complex administrative role within HR
· Experience of using HR/Payroll/recruitment ATS online systems
· Good numeracy and literacy skills
· Awareness of employment legislation
· Ability to effectively organise and work to tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail
· Ability to work independently and a willingness to contribute to team efficiency through sharing information and supporting others
· Experience of providing informal training/coaching to colleagues in relation to administrative tasks
· Proficient in the use of software packages and Microsoft office software

This position will be based from our Cardiff Office (agile working agreement in place). We are looking for a Finance Assistant with an aptitude for numeracy to support the Finance Manager and Senior Finance Assistant. The successful candidate to this role will have some experience in Finance or a keen interest in launching their career in Finance. They should have great communication skills and be ready and willing to learn. What's on offer for the candidate is an immediately available, ongoing permanent contract. This is the perfect role for someone at the beginning of their Finance career to learn and develop within a busy and exciting role.
Main Purpose of Job
To assist the Finance Manager and Senior Finance Assistant
Main Duties
- To assist in the day to day running of the organisation’s Sales, Purchase and Nominal Ledger using Sage bookkeeping system.
- Assist in the maintenance of information of the Finances of the Organisation.
- Input information to track grants and funding using Access databases.
- Use computer programmes including Sage, MS Word, Excel and Access.
- To administer timesheets, expenses and annual leave applications.
- Use a range of skills to communicate efficiently and effectively to support staff within the organisation.

Finance Assistant
Location: London, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Manchester, or remote within the UK
Working Pattern: 35 Hours per week, flexible working is supported as much as possible and requests for non-standard or condensed hours will be considered.
Hourly pay: £12.09 per hour plus £1.46 per hour holiday pay up to £13.19 per hour plus £1.59 per hour holiday pay (equivalent to £22,000-£24,000 FTE)

A Finance Assistant opportunity has come up to join their Grants Operations and Finance (GOF) team. They focus on managing financial planning, reporting and grant operations.
About the role
You will be working closely with the Management Accountant and all other team members to coordinate and complete a range of finance and administration tasks to support accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring disbursements are made to Elrha grantees and service providers when due, and that transactional information for inclusion within donor funding reports are accurate. You will also act as a focal point, working in close collaboration with SCUK colleagues, to ensure that the details relating to all grantee and suppliers of goods and services are correctly recorded in the finance system in a timely fashion.
Key Responsibilities
* Closely collaborate with the Grant Operations and Finance (GOF) team members to ensure payments for Elrha grantees (both existing and new) are disbursed when due.
* Ensure that all Elrha supplier invoices are processed in a timely manner.
* Work closely with the management accountant to ensure that all costs are correctly codes and allocated to the appropriate cost centre and donor
* Ensure that all new suppliers of goods and services are correctly set up in the accounting system.
* Collect and input purchase order requisition requests into the accounting system
* Ensure that requisitions are approved by the authorising signature on receipt on invoice.
* Support change requests to purchase orders.
About you
You will have:
* Previous experience in tasks associated with financial administration including the monitoring financial expenditure reports and undertaking basic financial processing.
* Experience of basic finance and accounting principles and processes with a high level of numeracy
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
* Experience of working within an NGO / charitable organisation
You will be:
* Resourceful, proactive, flexible and with the ability to work in a constantly changing environment.
* High degree of computer literacy, including knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft packages, including SharePoint.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills including the ability to plan, prioritise and ensure implementation of work to required standards and tight deadlines, often under pressure.
* Willingness to adopt hybrid working practices including attending offices in Cardiff and/or London on occasion and as required.
Desirable:
* AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting.
* Experience in IATI data publication and Agresso finance system.
* Knowledge of humanitarian/development sector and donor requirements.
* Experience in stakeholder management and policy implementation.

Who we are looking for:
A Permanent Customer Relations and Sales Officer to work as part of a centralised sales team, which leads all Autism Know How sales, logistic and customer support enquiries.
Managing all aspects of the customer sales journey, this role will lead and deliver an effective, timely and professional customer journey and experience, maximising income potential and repeat business to ensure performance against team sales targets and to enable the society to continue to improve its offering for autistic people.
This role will work closely with colleagues across Autism Know How, Marketing, CRM and Business Development departments, and other relevant NAS teams where required.
This role will also deliver general administration and data processing as required.
