The Campaign Coordinator will deliver a campaign strategy immediately before and after the General Election. You will lead local community teams who want to end the need for food banks, to get local Prospective Parliamentary Candidates to commit to prioritising the problem of people going without essentials if they are elected, and to acknowledge that that must involve a strengthened social security system.
This Cambridge City Foodbank (CCFb) role is funded by Trussell Trust as part of their General Election strategy, and you will be part of a network of Campaign Coordinators around the UK doing this work.
Responsibilities of Campaign Coordinator:
To build trusted relationships within CCFb and other food banks before, during and after the UK General Election. You will work with food banks across the Cambridgeshire & Peterboorough Combined Authority to build a team and coordinate campaign activity.
To create and support campaigns teams of community volunteers. You will have 1-2-1s with food bank staff, volunteers, partner organisations and stakeholders in each community to build support bases and get people to take part in campaign actions.
To lead community outreach including door-knocking sessions. You will door knock with your community campaign team to drum up support for the campaign, provide members of the public literature on food bank use in their local community, and invite people to their local hustings.
To support local campaigns teams to engage with Prospective Parliamentary Candidates, including organising local hustings. You will ensure that your community campaign teams: attend national Trussell Trust webinars, receive national guidance on how to approach Prospective Parliamentary Candidates, understand the Trussell Trust legal General Election guidance, understand the logistics of organising a hustings, ensure that the hustings is as accessible as possible and ensure that the voices of people with lived experience are heard through the hustings.
To deliver the local campaigning strategy working with CCFb and other food bank staff, volunteers, visitors and social supermarket members. You will set objectives for the campaign, monitor progress and evaluate impact.
To work with the Organising and Local Mobilisation strategy of CCFb and engage with the training and support on offer, including work with other Campaign Coordinators in the Trussell Trust network
Person Specification
Experience and knowledge:
- Experience of campaigning or organising to achieve a change.
- Experience working alongside people with lived experience of poverty.
- Experience facilitating groups and organising engaging group activities.
- Experience influencing local decision makers.
- Knowledge of the UK political system.
- Knowledge of anti-poverty organisations across the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority.
- Good project management skills, and the ability to manage and motivate volunteers.
- Willingness to travel across the Combined Authority area as required.

The Food bank Campaign Coordinator is responsible for delivering Trussell Trust’s influencing and mobilising work, in their target area, during the General Election. You will do this by building strong relationships with other food banks in your Parliamentary constituency areas of Rhondda and Ogmore, Bridgend and Vale of Glamorgan. Campaign Coordinators implement Trussell Trust’s national General Election strategy, by using organising techniques to put pressure on PPC’s in each Parliamentary constituency.
You will build and lead local community teams who support ending the need for foodbanks, securing commitments from your PPC’s to ‘prioritise the problem of people going without essentials if re/elected, acknowledging the role social security needs to play in tackling it.’

You will be the link between your food bank(s) and the Mobilisation team at Trussell Trust, as we build a movement to end the need for food banks.
Responsibilities of Campaign Coordinator:
· To build trusted relationships with food banks during (pre and post) UK General Election. You will hold 1:1 conversations with each food bank in your allocated area and ensure there is clear communication between the food banks.
· To support teams of community volunteers. You will have 1:1s with: food bank staff, volunteers, interested individuals, partner organisations and stakeholders in each community to develop community bases for your campaign work.
· To lead effective door-knocking teams in your community. You will door knock with your community campaign team to drum up support for the campaign, provide members of the public literature on Food bank use in their local community, and invite people to their local hustings.
· To help each of your community campaign teams organise a local husting. You will ensure that your community campaign teams: attend national Trussell Trust webinars, receive national guidance on how to approach PPC’s, understand the Trussell Trust legal GE guidance, understand the logistics of organising a hustings, ensure that the husting is accessible as possible and ensure that the voices of people with lived experience are heard through the hustings.
· To develop good relationships with local press and media outlets. You will work alongside national Trussell Truststaff to find key press and media contacts in your assigned area, ensuring your community campaign teams get coverage for their hard work.
· To deliver the local campaigning strategy working with food bank staff, volunteers and clients.
· To work with the Organising and Local Mobilisation team in Trussell Trust and engage with the training and support on offer, including work with other Campaign Coordinators in the Trussell Trust network.

North Bristol & South Gloucestershire (NBSG) Foodbank has operated for 12 years, providing emergency food parcels to people in crisis in the local community. Recently, we have shifted our focus to go beyond food and try to tackle the root causes of food insecurity. One goal of our new strategy is to change minds, change policy and create empathy about poverty. We are recruiting a Project Coordinator to oversee the delivery and development of a flagship Community Wellbeing Project, which operates in partnership with Brent Council. The project is a Community Hub hosted in a community space in Stonebridge (not in Sufra’s existing premises). Members of the project can access a Community Shop, a Community Café and Kitchen, and holistic support in the form of Advice casework and workshops. The objective of the project is to deliver food aid alongside wraparound holistic support in way that improves the financial, physical and mental wellbeing of its members, who are struggling with the cost of living.
This collaborative project has been made possible due to the support of multiple partners and has already proven highly successful. It is likely to form the basis of a new model of support for people experiencing vulnerabilities that will be replicated across Brent and possibly elsewhere in London.
The Project Coordinator will oversee the delivery of the project, ensuring both the shop and the café operate effectively and in accordance with agreed standards and procedures. The successful candidate will help shape the project in the months ahead, whilst supporting guests, collecting data, and monitoring and evaluating the project. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a busy and varied environment, managing multiple priorities at the same time. They will have experience in a customer-facing role, dealing with the general public and managing volunteers. It would be beneficial for the post holder to have experience supporting vulnerable people with complex needs from a wide variety of backgrounds. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for members that sign onto the pilot project, and will be representing the organisation to external partners. Broxtowe Community Projects (BCP) is a small charity (registered number 1195969) based in Beeston, Nottinghamshire. This is an exciting year for BCP in terms of solidifying our growth and development, and this is where you come in! We are looking for an operations manager to help oversee our existing projects as well as those in development, along with ensuring smooth day-to-day operations remain smooth. Our ops manager will support our staff, admin, and volunteer team leaders to ensure they feel supported and empowered in their roles, The role will also undertake and ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of our funded projects so that we can maintain positive relationships with our current funders and confidently seek relationships with new funders.
You will be someone who is compassionate and has a real understanding and empathy around the determinants of poverty and you will want to make a tangible difference to peoples' lives. You will be a creative thinker, with excellent data analysis skills and a high emotional intelligence. You will be confident managing multiple projects and able to maintain focus on both the day-to-day running of our core projects, such as the foodbank, as well as implementing and overseeing shorter term and one-off funded projects.
You will be confident working with people across multiple levels of the organisation, including key stakeholders, and feel empowered to make suggestions and recommendations to our board of trustees. You will also be someone who is well organised, with good people skills, as well as willing to engage with service users and key partners in finding solutions to emerging issues effecting peoples' lives, such as the cost of living crisis.

Hours of work: 25 hours p/w. 15 hours from our offices minimum, the rest is flexible and can be worked from home by agreement. Overall purpose of the post:
To manage the day-to-day running of this growing charity in Broxtowe and ensure its continued development, working proactively with the trustees to provide day-to-day operational coordination and implement agreed development initiatives.

Principal duties:

Bonny Downs Community Association has been working together to change lives and transform our community since 1998. Over the past 25 years our team has grown to provide a wide array of services that benefit Newham residents from all walks of life.
This role is specifically funded through the Youth Endowment fund as a pilot project ‘Thriving Communities’. You will be required to work alongside Thriving Communities commissioners, as well as the project’s Youth Justice Worker’s, Educational Psychologist, and/or professionals assigned to individual young people’s cases- such as teachers, social workers and mentors. The Thriving Communities project is a small part of a wider collaborative project, EMPOWER YOUTH, delivered by two partner charities so, although this position is based at BDCA, you will be working closely with a second East Ham Youth Partnership Project lead and team of Sessional Assistants based at nearby charity The Renewal Programme (TRP). Staff from each organisation will work together to deliver the programme and cross-refer young people to activities led by both teams. You will also be required to work with BDCA’s own Children & Families team during the summer scheme and liaise with our marketing team all year round. External partner agencies that you will work directly with include Thriving Communities panel, Newham Youth Empowerment Service, Newham Community Engagement Team, local sports clubs and schools.
