Job description

This organisation supports anonymous recruitment. That means hiding your personal identifying information, removing bias from the hiring process.

Shannon Trust is a charity operating across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, supporting thousands of prisoners a year to transform their lives by unlocking the power of reading. We inspire and train prisoners who can read to teach prisoners who can’t.  2020 saw the organisation adapt due to COVID19 – and we are now building an exciting new strategy that will see a step-change in the number of people we support, the expansion of our offer in and outside of prisons, the development of new digital tools and a focus on innovation. We are now looking for a new proactive, committed, and enthusiastic colleague to join our team and help us continue our journey towards greater impact through reducing re-offending and improved life chances.

The Fundraising Manager will take an insight-led approach to income generation through high quality applications to grant-making trusts and foundations, the growth of public donations, and nurturing relevant external relationships using tailored communications, marketing tools and resources.  We want to hear from applicants who can lead, foster innovation, be a team player, and who bring a track record in attracting funding to criminal justice related work.  Can you take us to the next level?

The closing date for the role is 9am Monday 31st May 2021.  Interviews will take place remotely using Teams.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited by email.  The following date is confirmed for interviews; Wednesday 9th June 2021
