At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice we care for children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions. Our support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family including end of life treatment and care, respite short breaks, counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy, home visits and much much more. 

It costs more than £5m each year to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. We receive around 15% of our funding from government and the rest is sourced by our Income Generation team.  

The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Income Generation team at Bluebell Wood and we are now on the lookout for an experienced fundraiser to join us and take on the responsibility of developing, implementing and delivering the hospice’s Individual Giving portfolio.  

This is an area with a potential for significant growth over the next 1-3 years and beyond, and we are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable self-starter to steer the next chapter of our progress and development as our Individual Giving Fundraiser.

The successful candidate will oversee the delivery and administration of Bluebell Wood’s Individual Giving income streams (in memory, legacy and regular giving) and work with the Individual Giving Manager to plan and implement a strategy to increase income growth in this area.

Summary of the role:

This role will provide day-to-day administrative support and project support to the department head and the overall team to ensure the successful delivery of the organisation’s operations in an efficient manner. This role will focus on generating reports, tracking progress, and ensuring all the necessary processes relating to compliance, finance and HR are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

About the Role:

1. Develop a thorough understanding of Muslim Aid’s work areas in order to ensure strategic linkages / appropriate dissemination of information or assignment of actions.
2. Develop, maintain and review administrative systems to achieve maximum efficiency and to have high-level exposure across the organisation including admin, finance, IT, HR, supporter services, IP, comms etc.
3. Prepare purchase orders and document payments according to Muslim Aid’s financial procedure and in conjunction with the Finance team to ensure speedy payment of invoices for internal / external stakeholders.
4. Assist the Head of Income Generation and Marketing with the preparation of PowerPoint presentations, documents, briefing papers, action points and reports as requested and to track work across all relevant departments to ensure the nominated Manager undertakes action within the agreed timeframe.
5. Provide administrative support to Head of Income Generation and Marketing in preparing and drafting correspondence, booking meetings, minute-taking, planning and supporting events, organising travel and preparing travel itineraries and relevant tasks as required by the Head of Income Generation and Marketing.
6. Be the gatekeeper and first point of contact to stakeholders, assessing priorities, redirecting calls, enquiries, and face to face meeting appointments.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. Do you wish to be part of a growing and dynamic Fundraising team and support our Farming community? RABI, the leading UK farming charity, are seeking a fundraiser with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in generating income from trusts and foundations.

You must be a great communicator with experience in prospect research, writing funding proposals and developing relationships with trust representatives. This is an exciting time to join RABI as we develop a strategy aimed at raising seven-figure sums in 3-4 years to support the farming community.

As Net Zero Carbon Statutory Fundraising Coordinator, you will work in The Giving Directorate and operate across the whole Church with a focus on supporting parishes and dioceses to access statutory funds. You will share your knowledge and insight to support with identifying, researching and applying to funding from a range of government sources. The role:

Main responsibilities

• Develop a national plan to secure statutory funding at parish and diocesan level
• Acting as a central point of coordination between the schools, housing and parish fundraising workstreams to oversee statutory funding
• Working specifically with the Regional Fundraising Officer in the north west cluster of dioceses to identify and support applications to statutory funding sources by parishes
• Working with Net Zero Implementation Manager to support statutory funding applications for clergy housing
• Building capacity in dioceses to support senior staff (incl. Bishops) to use their networks to identify relevant statutory funding opportunities (e.g. mayors, local council leadership, police and crime commissioners etc)

The ideal candidate:

To be successful, you will need experience of securing statutory funding for projects and of other aspects of fundraising. Job Purpose:

The Fundraising and Administration Officer role primarily focuses on providing excellent supporter care and administrative support within the fundraising department. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining supporter relations, optimising fundraising efforts, and ensuring efficient administrative processes are in place.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporter Care:

• To be a first point of contact for the Fundraising Department, answering the phone and meeting and greeting people who arrive to the office.
• Respond to enquiries from supporters, prospective supporters and volunteers via telephone, e-mail, and post, maintaining excellent supporter relations.
• Ensure timely and appropriate acknowledgments, using both standard and bespoke correspondence.
• To adhere to administrative procedures to ensure the delivery of a high-quality service which is compliant with all relevant legislation, policies, regulations, and guidelines.
• Provide admin support for Direct Mail letters and appeals, including the use of mail merge, when required.
• Assist with the ongoing stewardship of Regular Givers.

Community Fundraising:

• Support the formation of volunteer fundraising groups.

• Take the lead in monitoring fundraising merchandise, and liaise with suppliers, for fundraising materials, including Christmas Cards.

Digital Marketing:

• Support in developing UK digital fundraising opportunities.
• Administer digital acquisition campaigns in the UK e.g. through digital advertising, to generate new donors.

Database Management (Training will be provided):

• Create and maintain contact records on Salesforce, ensuring supporter information is kept up to date by recording changes to mailing preferences, gift aid eligibility and contact details etc.
• Database maintenance and housekeeping e.g. identifying and merging duplicate records, removing, or archiving redundant data, adhering to GDPR protocols.

Finance Administration (Training will be provided):

• Efficiently process and reconcile incoming donations, received daily by post, online and phone. Bank cheques and cash on a weekly basis, and process credit card and CAF donations.
• Record all donations to Salesforce, ensuring the accurate coding of income to the correct source and supporter.
• Administer new Direct Debit instructions.
• Support monthly and quarterly reports demonstrating fundraising income received against budget, to inform the management team and provide accurate forecasting.
• Scan and upload credit card statements and invoices for payment by the Finance team.
• Record and reconcile petty cash expenditure.
• Assist the Finance team in the reconciliation of all income received, responding to any queries.

General Office Administration:

• Order office stationery and fundraising supplies, as required.
• Co-ordinate general office maintenance, as required.
• Arrange accommodation for staff travel to Shrewsbury.

Knowledge, Experience and Other Requirements:

Essential

• Relevant qualifications from a Further Education Institution or equivalent office/administration experience in a busy environment, preferably in fundraising or marketing.
• Excellent planning, administrative, organisational and time management skills, to deliver and cope with a busy workload.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent keyboard and numeracy skills, with a high-level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, especially Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
• Enthusiastic and positive attitude; flexible, adaptable, and able to work independently.

We are looking for an experienced fundraiser, to lead on Neuroscience related fundraising for the Departments of Psychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences as part of the friendly team working across the Medical Sciences Division at the University of Oxford.

The Medical Sciences Division at Oxford has been ranked number one in the world for the last twelve years in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for clinical, pre-clinical and health sciences. Recent accomplishments of the Medical Sciences Division include its research into the COVID-19 pandemic, most notably through the delivery of the Oxford–AstraZeneca vaccine, which is estimated to have saved over 6 million lives.

About the role:

This fundraiser will work closely with the Heads of Departments and academics in the Departments of Psychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences. The post will focus primarily on funding for research, academic posts, scholarships and infrastructure related to Neuroscience which includes Mental Health and neurological disease (e.g. Motor Neurone Disease, Dementia, Parkinson’s, Stroke and Epilepsy). The fundraiser will work on special projects including the possible major capital redevelopment of the Warneford site. While an interest in medical research and neuroscience is essential, you do not need to be a sciences graduate, just an enthusiast for knowledge.

You are an experienced development professional with a strong track record of securing major gifts, a confident approach and the ability to think creatively. You will lead on major gift fundraising (£100k-£1m+) working with a range of donors (corporates, trusts and individuals).

• To work closely with the Head of Fundraising and Deputy Head of Fundraising to contribute to the development of strategy, budgets and plans across the department.
• To be collectively responsible with other Fundraising Managers for progress against strategy, budgets and plans.
• To proactively develop a culture of collaborative working in the department by effectively leading and managing a number of key fundraising projects.
• To ensure an informed Direct Mail program is delivered, maximising income through effective data segmentation, use of emotive case studies, powerful propositions and asks and appropriate donor pathways.
• To develop and lead a new approach for legacy fundraising, integrating the pathways to pledging a gift in a will through from first engagement with the charity and beyond.
• There is an option for this role to be 30 – 37.5 hour per week, rather than just full time.
