Job description

Bury Hospice has a fantastic opportunity for a talented Fundraising Manager with a proven track record of success to play a key role in future fundraising.

As our services and reach increase, so does our income target, so the successful candidate will be passionate about the work of the Hospice and have significant fundraising experience in which to support the Hospice to build on previous fundraising success.

Key responsibilities for this role will be to lead on income generation for the Hospice through corporate fundraising, community fundraising, individual giving, legacy giving and trusts & foundations.

You will be a positive influencer and an engaging communicator with the skills required to build successful partnerships with key stakeholders, fulfilling the objective of maximising fundraising opportunities for the Hospice. Whilst being focussed in this regard, you will also be an empathetic individual in your communications with patients and relatives, ensuring sensitivity and confidentiality at all times.

You will be organised, decisive, and creative, working alongside key colleagues to ensure that detailed marketing schedules are developed and delivered to the agreed schedule of events. Recognising and understanding the importance of financial management in relation to fundraising activity is paramount.

You will take responsibility for the Donor Journey, relying on your excellent digital competency skills of income generation CRM systems. It is preferable that you have experience of Donorflex. (Bury Hospice uses Donorbox).

In this varied role, you will also lead the Fundraising team to meet organisational objectives and to demonstrate the values of the Hospice in all that they do. You will take ownership for day-to-day staff management, alongside recruitment activity, development, and performance management, so previous demonstrable experience of line management is vital.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced fundraiser to combine hands-on fundraising and supporter development with developing and influencing strategy and growth.

Substantial on-the-job experience in Fundraising are essential.

Flexibility will be required in this role which will be rewarded with a salary of up to £35,000 per annum. It is essential that the successful candidate is willing to travel to fulfil the duties of the role.
