We are a multi-award-winning, creative, and innovative organisation, and the Database Officer is a role at Al-Khair Foundation, sitting within the Database team and delivering on a range of database tasks and processes utilising our Salesforce database. We’re looking for someone who has a good working knowledge of database systems and who understands their importance to organisations like Al-Khair Foundation. We seek someone who is naturally process-driven and has a great eye for detail. You will be responsible for specific monthly processes, such as organisation income reconciliation and ongoing data uploads and cleansing for the Fundraising teams. You will also become a champion for Salesforce and understand the importance of CRM to help Al-Khair Foundation achieve our goals and provide a better service to our donors, supporters, and participants.
Your Role
Al-Khair Foundation uses Salesforce to manage relationships with our donors, supporters, and stakeholders, including recording all donations made to the organisation. Al-Khair Foundation’s Database Officer will be responsible for the monthly delivery of the income and data reconciliation processes for the Fundraising teams, which includes liaising with a wide range of external agencies and the website to successfully download and query files, update and create new supporter records on the database, process cheques and payment requests, and work closely with the Finance team to ensure all anticipated and banked income tallies correctly.
You will also work closely with colleagues in the Database team to support and maintain regular database processes, data cleansing, and other database-related functions that happen on a monthly or quarterly basis. This may include responding to and being responsible for Support Ticket queries in relation to income, data, and/or the database generally and working with external database agencies such as our web platform partners and Salesforce.
Aside from these core duties, from time to time, you may also carry out general administrative tasks on behalf of the Supporter Engagement team. This may include supporting the Supporter Care Assistant during busy periods with customer care via email and telephone and recording updates, processing invoices, and maintaining and updating team rotas and trackers.
Your Responsibilities
- Delivering the monthly data reconciliation and income reconciliation processes, which include downloading and uploading data files.
- Supporting the Fundraising teams with their monthly income recording and reconciliation.
- Liaising with external agencies and the Finance team.
- Checking for and correcting inaccuracies and updating supporter records.
- Running reports for the Fundraising and Finance teams.
- Maintaining and carrying out regular database processes, including data cleansing.
- Supporting the Database Coordinator and the Senior Data Manager to encourage best-practice use of the database across the organisation, including assisting with onboarding and new user training and being on hand for day-to-day technical support when the Database Coordinator is unavailable.
- Working with external partners (i.e., telemarketing agencies) to ensure the successful and smooth transition of data onto the database.
- Spotting and reporting database glitches and problems.
- Supporting with the ticketing system as a second point of contact in the Database team.
- Contributing to creating a culture committed to the safeguarding of children and adults and compliant with Al-Khair Foundation’s Child Safeguarding and Adults at Risk Policies.
Who You Are
To be successful, you will be:
- Someone who has experience using a Salesforce database to carry out day-to-day tasks and who understands their importance for organisations such as Al-Khair Foundation. Charity/NGO experience would be an advantage.
- Someone with excellent attention to detail and good numeracy skills.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Retail Operations Manager to join our Retail Team. This role will require the successful candidate to be responsible for running the logistics required for a disperse network of charity shops, including the supply and distribution of stock; management of suppliers, landlords and associated stakeholders and ensuring that all compliance requirements are fulfilled.
The role will also support the delivery of the retail strategy to drive income growth and increase footfall and to support new business initiatives.
Role Requirements
Operational Management
- Manage the generation and distribution of stock, including organising the logistics for van deliveries and collections to meet both shops and customer requirements.
- Support the development and optimisation of the Redhill distribution hub.
- Manage key internal and external stakeholders including suppliers, landlords and internal support teams, ensuring that an efficient and compliant service is maintained.
- Research opportunities to reduce waste and disposal costs and introduce new/improved sources of recycling.
- Develop proposals to improve the operational management of the retail team in support of the retail strategy.

- Manage the full gift aid claim process, working with colleagues and shops managers to optimise gift aid conversion rates.

- Support colleagues to develop opportunities for niche sales offers.
- Regularly review shops departmental sales performance to support sourcing and supply of specific stock.

Standards and Compliance
- Manage full compliance of the Children’s Trust shops in line with all Health & Safety legislation, Fire safety, Trading Standards, Retail Gift Aid, GDPR, ThankQ CRM, Risk Assessments, Safeguarding and all other legal or statutory requirements.
- Deliver and manage internal and external audit processes working with Retail Sales Manager and Head of Retail to ensure that all audit actions and recommendations are delivered by the team.

Role Requirements
As part of the site services team the role holder will be expected to liaise with managers and staff across the Trust. The role holder is expected to work closely with the other members of the facilities team and assist in covering in the laundry, in the deep clean team or other works as and when required.
You will be a natural and enthusiastic housekeeper working not only as part of a team but also individually. You will be health and safety aware, take ownership of your own work, and be understanding of the children’s needs here at The Children’s Trust. Your role
As Assistant Shop Manager it is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Shop Manager in Scope's brand new Fulham shop (Opening shortly). As a vital part of the Trust and Statutory fundraising team, the Stratutory Manager will report to the Head of Trusts and Statutory and work closely with project teams across the organisation, including senior operational leads and the Communications and Campaigns Team. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our Education Team. STL1 – Provide support for Learning Activities set by Classteacher & Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant

- To demonstrate our School Ethos and Pupil Charter throughout the School day.
- Holistically integrate education, health and care needs.

- Undertake annual safeguarding training.
- Adhere to the school’s Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures and policies. Recording incidents pertaining to pupil safety, including for illness, accidents and incidents, accepting that Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and that ‘it could happen here’.

- Prepare commonly used ICT for use in lessons and be aware of and be able to use hardware and software commonly used in the school.

The Operational Support Assistant provides a first line contact for operational staff and to assist in the development and maintenance of quality assurance measures to support the functioning and ensure the quality of the operational delivery units.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of effective, efficient, support service at all times
- Act as a consistent contact for both operational and charity staff
- Assist the Operational Support Manager in accordance with the KSSAAT policies and procedures
- Assist the Operational Support Manager to ensure that the implementation of new procedures is undertaken in an appropriate and timely manner
- Assist the Operational Support Manager to ensure the availability of sufficient, clean, well maintained and serviceable equipment, medicines and consumables for use by the operational delivery units and their staff.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of systems and processes to quality assure the logistical processes of the operation and operational staff’s compliance with them.
- Where qualified, and in liaison with the Clinical Managers, provide effective co-ordination and monitoring of all elements of KSSAAT Health and Safety, risk assessment and risk management.
- Assist the Operational Support Manager in ensuring a supply of serviceable equipment and accessories to allow the support of KSSAAT staff induction and training courses.

This role is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of fundraising at the National Theatre, as we look to grow our income from individual members, major donors, trusts and corporate organisations.
Working with the Senior Prospect Research & Donor Insight Manager, you will develop a strong fundraising pipeline that will ensure the team can reach their long-term targets.
Your natural curiosity will lead you to identify new opportunities using a variety of online sources in combination with the NT’s database, Tessitura, and you will be able to articulate your recommendations to fundraisers in a concise and compelling way. With excellent attention to detail, this role also undertakes due diligence research into potential funders to assess any risks to the NT of accepting funds. This role also manages the Development Operations Assistant, who leads the day-to-day administration of the Development database.
The role has scope to offer insights across the whole Development team and NT senior management, and would suit a strong collaborator with enthusiasm for the work of the NT.
The successful candidate will have the following:

Experience of managing prospect research projects and supporting prospect pipeline management in a fundraising environment.

Experience of Tessitura or other customer relations management systems.

Proven ability to gather and interpret information for relevance from a variety of sources.

About the role
The Philanthropy Coordinator will primarily deliver key administration support for UK Youth’s Avon Tyrrell Capital Appeal; including developing donor communications, managing the project plan spreadsheet, maintaining accurate CRM data records, conducting prospect research and drafting funding requests. They will work closely with the Director of External Relations (lead of the Capital Appeal) and PA to the Director of External Relations in managing the Avon Tyrrell Capital Appeal board, and support the wider Engagement team in core Philanthropy and Events administration.

The Avon Tyrrell Capital Appeal is on track to raise £6.4 million to regenerate and build a new experiential learning centre at UK Youth’s outdoor learning centre, Avon Tyrrell in the New Forest. The Avon Tyrrell Capital Appeal was launched in October 2023 by HRH The Princess Royal at an event in the New Forest. The event attracted many prospective donors with whom we are now in advanced positive discussions with on supporting the appeal, including our lead gift.
The role sits within the Engagement Team which collectively covers Philanthropy, Individual Giving, Supporter Communications, and Events. The Engagement team forms part of the successful External Relations department which is also responsible for Corporate, Trust and Foundation fundraising and the Digital, Marketing and Communications team.
You will be excellent at project management and able to write clearly and persuasively about the work of UK Youth and our outdoor learning provision.
