We have a fantastic opportunity for a Centre Fundraising Organiser to join the team at our Manchester centre.
As an integral member of the fundraising team, you will be based at Maggie’s Manchester and you will assist in delivering a wide range of operational and administrative support, as well as social media activities.
Your responsibilities
- First point of contact for enquiries from community audiences and suppliers.
- Respond to enquiries from the public, volunteers, fundraisers, etc. (by phone, mail and in person), including responding to requests for information, materials and more.
- Refer enquiries to the Centre Fundraiser where appropriate.
- Provide and facilitate supporters with a choice of how they fundraise, and work with Maggie’s in line with the national strategy and plan.
- Provide excellent supporter care, which enthuses supporters and encourages commitment and loyalty to Maggie’s.
This is a demanding role in a fast-paced environment where priorities change frequently. There will be a requirement to work irregular hours and occasionally travel locally.

Purpose of the Senior Community Fundraising Officer role:
As Senior Community Fundraising Officer, the successful candidate will play an integral role in overseeing all income generation via community fundraising. The purpose of this post is to feed into strategy, providing guidance and direction to ensure that Community Fundraising continues to grow as an area of income and that all Community Fundraisers receive high-quality support and stewardship.
Key duties and responsibilities of the Senior Community Fundraising Officer:

Line-managing, leading and supporting a team of 2 Community Fundraising Officers

Developing and maintaining a strong network of working relationships with individual fundraisers and supporters.

Taking responsibility for income generation from various sources including:
- physical fundraising challenges
- non-physical fundraising events
- educational institutions
- community groups
- celebration fundraising (e.g. birthdays and weddings)

Ensuring oversight of Women’s Aid’s annual flagship fundraising event, the 1.7 Challenge, and any other mass fundraising events.
What we are looking for in our Senior Community Fundraising Officer:

At least 2 years’ experience of working in a professional fundraising role.

Experience of managing a portfolio of fundraising events for community fundraising.

Experience of working within a team and individually to achieve success; meeting or exceeding your financial targets.

Demonstrable experience of initiating cross-team working to achieve financial goals.

Experience of using a CRM database, such as Raiser’s Edge, Access Charity CRM, or Sales Force, to target and segment supporters.

Any experience of developing fundraising strategies for working with educational institutions, community fundraisers and faith groups is also desirable.

The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a lively, dynamic and driven fundraising events team. Over the last decade, Breast Cancer Now has built up a strong events function, with community and events currently accounting for nearly a quarter of the charity’s overall voluntary income.
We are now looking for an experienced and passionate events manager to lead a team and help us to continue to deliver our targets and identify new opportunities for our challenge events portfolio. This currently comprises of running events, triathlons, cycling events, overseas and UK challenges. You’ll support the creation and delivery of the events strategy, developing a varied and impactful portfolio which positions Breast Cancer Now as the go-to charity for events.
With the support of the senior events manager, the post holder will be responsible for the delivery of the Great North Run and Women V Cancer partnership. The post holder will also have their own budget areas working to agreed targets, maximising income, and minimising expenditure through innovative stewardship and strong budget management to maintain engagement and retention of supporters. They will also have line management (not all direct) for 1 event officer, 1 event executive and 1 event assistant.
About you
We’re looking for someone with experience of successfully delivering events programmes, including recruitment of participants, development of supporter journeys and stewardship communications to meet net income and supporter retention targets.
You’ll be an excellent relationship builder, with knowledge of the charity events sector. You’ll be an experienced line manager able to develop your line reports. You’ll also have demonstrable knowledge of setting and meeting financial targets to ensure a good return of investment for the charity.
As well as leading a high performing team we are looking for someone with experience of successfully delivering marketing and recruitment plans, developing supporter journeys and stewardship communications. You’ll be experienced in delivering charity events and possess outstanding organisational, communication and marketing skills. You’ll need to have built excellent relationships with third party event organisers, tour operators and suppliers to the overall benefit of your organisation.

As the Poppy Appeal Manager in Central London, your main role is to achieve income, expenditure, and contribution targets, ensuring the success of the appeal. Collaborating with the Regional Poppy Appeal Manager, you will create and manage an income and expenditure budget, providing monthly commentary. Your responsibilities include to coordinating local supporters, partners, and volunteers, building relationships to maximise fundraising potential.

Relationship management plays a crucial role, where you'll oversee a portfolio of regional corporate partnerships and collaborate with internal departments to achieve collective goals. A distinctive aspect of this role lies in the unique Poppy Appeal activity. Beyond managing relationships and budgets, you'll recruit and induct new Poppy Appeal Organisers, ensuring they have the tools and resources for success. Planning and coordinating the Poppy Appeal launch, including PR and media activities, contribute to the appeal's overall impact.
Your role also involves representing Royal British Legion locally, engaging in outreach activities, and providing updates to key stakeholders. Flexibility is essential, as some evenings, weekends, and overnight stays may be required. The successful candidate will embody the values of the Royal British Legion, demonstrating empathy with its mission and objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess commercial knowledge, financial management skills, and experience in supporter relationship management. Strong planning, organizational, and IT skills are necessary, as is the ability to assess the commercial implications of decisions. The role demands a team player who can engage with diverse client groups, showcasing effective communication skills both in writing and verbally.

The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance (LNAA) provides lifesaving critical care to the communities of Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire, funded by public donations. If somebody is involved in a serious incident or suddenly taken ill, speed and time are of the essence. Giving a patient the best chance of survival, our Air Ambulance crew effectively take the A&E department to the scene of the emergency.
About the Role
As the Head of Corporate, Community & Events, you will play a pivotal role in driving our fundraising efforts and community engagement initiatives. You will be responsible for cultivating and nurturing relationships with corporate partners, community groups, and event organizers to support our mission and raise essential funds for our operations.
You will develop and implement the Charity’s strategy to develop sustainable net income from corporate donors, community fundraising and fundraising events across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.
A full clean driving licence or equivalent is required for this role.

About the role
You will support the Chief Executive to ensure the smooth running of Freedom from Torture's services and national and global influencing work against torture and for the rights of survivors of torture.
You will work at the highest levels of the organisation, with Freedom from Torture's Board of Trustees and Senior Management Team and help to manage important relationships for the Chief Executive including with government and civil society.
You will report to our Head of CEO Office and spend a small portion of your time providing executive support to our Director of Fundraising and Communications.
You will also support our Chair to ensure our Board of Trustees provides the best possible governance for Freedom from Torture including compliance with legal requirements and best practice in areas such as charity finance, risk management and safeguarding.
There is also scope within the role to coordinate projects to support the continuous development of Freedom from Torture.
About you
You will be a born organiser, with superb judgment, a diplomatic approach and problem-solving skills. You will have the ability to think two steps ahead, guided by our strategic and operational priorities, and the confidence to steer senior managers accordingly.
As a right-hand person to the Chief Executive, you will bring a meticulous attention to detail and exemplary skills in prioritisation, time management and task completion. Your written and verbal communication skills will be first-rate, and you will be comfortable handling confidential material with the utmost discretion.

About this role
The MENA Death Penalty Caseworker will undertake a range of activities in support of Reprieve’s work on cases of individuals on death row or at risk of the death penalty across the MENA region, including casework and investigations into individual cases and the broader death penalty landscape, support to Reprieve clients, and support to partner organisations and lawyers in the MENA region and beyond.
The MENA Death Penalty Caseworker is an integral member of the MENA Team, and will work closely with the Media, Campaigns and Digital, and UK and US Policy teams, and the Directors and Deputy Directors.
Location and salary
This role is a full-time, permanent contract based in our London office. The annual salary is £40,964 full-time per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance.
Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work a minimum of 40% per week from the London office, and the rest from home. Your presence is important during core office hours, whether remotely or in the office.
