This role is positioned in the fundraising team, who are targeted to raise income across Make Some Noise’s and Global’s platforms and partners.

Responsibilities of the role

Be a point of contact for all challenge participants and community fundraisers.

Provide exceptional stewardship support and execute creative fundraising ideas to help participants reach their fullest potential.

Work with fundraising platforms to create automated workflows and streamlined user journey.

Lead the ‘Noise Makers’ to deliver Global’s staff income target by helping to implement a variety of exciting and lucrative fundraising activities in all Global’s offices across the UK

Be the dedicated point of contact with Global’s People & Culture (HR) team to deliver internal fundraising operations relating to Make Some Noise Day.

Work with the marketing team to design and deliver first-rate supporter care and resources for activities.

Ensure accurate records are maintained on our fundraising databases, and assist with account administration including invoices, payments, contracts, processes and reporting.

Write-up post-project reports and analysis, suggesting areas of improvement.

Manage budgets, looking for efficiencies and proactively spotting fundraising opportunities.

Oversee quarterly invoicing and stewardship of community recycling partners.

Support with stewardship of partners and high-value-supporters, such as co-ordinating gift-in-kind donations, volunteering opportunities and studio tours for VIP guests.

Identify, propose and develop fundraising opportunities within defined communities, such as schools and universities.

Provide colleagues with ad-hoc administrative support, such as responding to enquiries, minute-taking, invoicing, contracts and stocktakes, and support with prizes, event materials and marketing assets.

Background
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP is the leading UK charity delivering health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement, in the occupied Palestinian territory, including Gaza, and Lebanon.
MAP is in a period of ambitious growth and rapid development, as we respond to the massive humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon. Due to this growth, we are seeking a Director of Fundraising and Marketing to lead the development and delivery of an ambitious and data driven fundraising strategy.
Purpose of role
The purpose of this role within MAP is to build a high-performing fundraising and marketing team in the UK, and in new international markets, to drive and stabilise significantly increased fundraising performance across a range of income streams. The post holder will lead the development and delivery of an ambitious and data driven fundraising and marketing strategy to successfully deliver MAP’s new five-year vision.
Primary responsibilities

The job holder will have the following key responsibilities:
Leadership
- Champion fundraising across the organisation.
- Be an inspiring ambassador for MAP and ensure this is reflected in the strategies, outputs, and behaviour of the fundraising team.
- Actively contribute to leading Medical Aid for Palestinians as a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT).
- Work closely with the SMT to ensure that appropriate processes and systems are in place across the organisation, including delivery against KPIs.
- Attend and actively participate in MAP’s Board meetings and relevant Board Committee meetings providing updates, necessary reports, and feedback on MAP’s fundraising and marketing.
- Lead cross-organisational projects in line with organisational strategy and direction.

- Keep abreast of, understand, clarify, and implement new or changes in relevant thinking and legislation, especially those directly affecting fundraising.

Fundraising
- Lead the development and delivery of an ambitious and data driven fundraising strategy across a range of income streams to successfully deliver MAP’s new five-year vision.

- Ensure that MAP’s fundraising is supported by appropriate business/activity plans, and sound financial plans and budgets; and that performance is regularly monitored and evaluated against plans and budgets.

Fundraising Development
- Work with the Head of Individual Giving to deliver and implement a strategy which prioritises both the retention and acquisition of new donors, enhances the use of digital products, platforms, and channels and delivers the highest standard of supporter care and donor stewardship.
- Work with relevant colleagues to deliver a new strategy and plan which prioritises deepening and strengthening existing relationships and building a strong pipeline of new prospects to deliver multi-year funding from major donors, high profile supporters, trusts, foundations, and companies.
- Lead the adoption and use of a newly installed Microsoft Dynamics CRM to effectively support data-driven decision making and relationship management to generate supporter insights in support of increased fundraising.
- With the CEO and SMT, agree and invest in a scaled-up approach to fundraising internationally.
Brand and Marketing
- Working in collaboration with the Director of Advocacy and Communications, lead the development and delivery of an integrated marketing and communications strategy that is driven by audience insight.
- Build and inspire a high-performing and results-oriented Marketing Team to build a community of supporters by delivering a seamless supporter journey that promotes MAP’s work and delivers greater income generation.
- Ensure our brand and identity are strong and supported by authentic high-quality messaging, delivering integrated campaigns across all our channels that turn increased recognition into active support for MAP’s work.

Job Description
Purpose of the role
Our PR & Media Manager is crucial to our plans to scale up our media coverage as we enter the final years of our campaign to end bear bile farming in Vietnam. As part of the Comms team, you will work closely with colleagues in our Programmes and Fundraising teams to amplify their work through public relations, celebrity support and media activity. Your key areas of responsibility will include press office management, preparing PR & Media plans for each of our key markets, preparing pitches, media releases and content for media outreach and building a library of case studies to showcase our work. Your other key area of responsibility is supporting our highly successful celebrity liaison to raise Animals Asia’s profile through earned, owned and shared digital platforms, print and broadcast media. Conditions and Benefits
Place of work: Home-based (Global).

Job summary
Malaria No More UK are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Senior Media and Communications Manager to support the Head of Communications on the leadership, planning and delivery of MNMUK’s media strategy to raise awareness, engage stakeholders and drive support for our cause. This role will support MNMUK’s campaigning and activity in the UK and internationally, working across the organisation and working closely with colleagues leading our advocacy, government relations, political campaigning and partnerships work. This role will also support MNMUK’s corporate communications work, specifically copywriting our core organisational materials, including board & annual reports.
Key responsibilities
Communications:
- Lead and deliver Malaria No More UK’s media strategy, including relationship building with media outlets, journalists and influencers to drive tactical, political and news media coverage.
- Lead on the development and management of pro or low bono partnerships with UK and global media organisations.
- Produce written media materials such as press releases, Q&As and spokesperson briefings.
- Lead and develop MNMUK’s corporate and campaign written materials such as donor reports, annual & board reports, fundraising applications and website copy, ensuring that we have a consistent and powerful style that aligns with our brand, values and creative content approach.
- Advise and support on media activity in other markets, including Kenya.

You’ll manage a small, but fantastic team of committed communications professionals, whilst working alongside other teams to effectively tell IHP’s story, and the stories of those we serve. You’ll work with our fundraising team to collaborate on fundraising campaigns, our Corporate Partnerships team to engage pharmaceutical and logistics partners in new and exciting ways, and our Programmes team to work directly with NGO partners to gather content and demonstrate our impact through effective storytelling.
You will also be a part of the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for setting the strategic vision and direction of the organisation. This is a temporary role as a maternity cover starting in July 2024.
What you’ll be working on
- Lead on IHP’s 20th anniversary campaign including overseeing a pivotal stakeholder engagement event
- Implement and embed IHP’s newly developed brand identity across the organisation and across external channels.
-Oversee the marketing strategy for our self-designed and revolutionary software system, Boaz, helping to reach new customers and position as a leader in its field.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders to develop communications opportunities and amplify IHP’s voice including employee engagement opportunities.
- Manage relationship with our social media agency to effectively execute IHP’s communications objectives and grow our audiences and engagement.
- Oversee the marketing delivery of our annual Christmas fundraising campaign.
Essential knowledge/transferable skills and experience:
- Demonstrable and successful communications experience
- Management level experience
- Marketing and brand awareness experience
- Knowledge of social media and how to utilise to maximise communication and engagement strength
- Proven track record of effective management of resources, including planning and coordination of staffing and budgetary resources
- Excellent IT skills to communicate effectively and efficiently
- Highly organised, efficient and self-motivated
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with competing priorities, deadlines and targets
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt as part of a small team
The following would be desirable:
- An understanding of Corporate Partnerships, fundraising, healthcare industry or CSR
- An understanding and experience of GDPR oversight
