INTRODUCTION TO THE ROLE
Girls Not Brides is seeking an experienced digital communications professional to manage the Girls Not Brides website in English, French and Spanish, including website development, maintenance, continuous improvement planning, infrastructure, architecture, and user journey. You will be responsible for implementing a website improvement project and a new members area. This role will also be responsible for developing and producing performance data, evaluation, and reporting across our digital channels. We are looking for someone who has a passion for managing websites, using data to improve performance and engagement, and using digital platforms to drive movements. The successful applicant will support across our digital channels. This role sits in the Communications Team and reports to the Communications Manager. You will work closely with external website developers to deliver a website that showcases Girls Not Brides and our role as the global movement to end child marriage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Girls Not Brides website (70%)
- Lead the development and implementation of the website improvement strategy and project plan, with support from the Communications Manager.
- Recommend and manage changes to the website architecture, front-end design, features, integrations, and user-journey improvements.
- Manage the day-to-day of activity of Girls Not Brides website, including uploading content in 3 languages (English, French and Spanish), optimising content for web, updating static pages when needed, and recommending updates and upgrades to the CMS.
- Responsible for managing website projects, including the upgrade, update and support and maintenance pipeline, as well as larger-scale changes to website functionality and architecture, managing external contractors to produce the work required on time and within budget.
- Research and implementing best-practices for search engine optimisation (SEO) across website copy and architecture.
- Produce and manage a clear, well-documented approach to web analytics, producing regular reports, monitoring user behaviour and website traffic, carrying out benchmarking, identifying KPIs and providing actionable insights.
- Support content writing for the website, including writing website copy and blog posts.
- Collaborate with the learning team in development of knowledge and learning hub.

Digital channel evaluation and reporting (20%)
- Set-up, maintain, and manage website analytics using the Google suite.

Free Tibet is a small but effective campaign organisation based in south London. Job Description
Fundraising
- Oversee all income-generation activity across Free Tibet and Tibet Watch. Ensure continuous improvement and innovation and an appropriate balance of fundraising activity across all streams. Current streams include postal appeals, online appeals, and the Free Tibet online shop.
- Manage applications for grant funding on behalf of both Free Tibet and Tibet Watch, working with the Fundraising Officer to build a strong portfolio of five and six-figure grants and steward them for renewal.
- Lead on the recruitment and retention of donors, especially Major Donors, and redevelop supporter journeys and stewardship programs.
- Evaluate new ideas for income generation and strategies for implementation, especially corporate and challenge events / community fundraising.
- Impact reporting of fundraising activity and the performance of quarterly appeals, with a view to improve internal processes for greater income innovation and ROI.
- Liaise with the Free Tibet Campaigns & Research Teams to ensure that campaigning, digital and fundraising activities are seamlessly coordinated.
- Managing relationships with third party agencies, like mailing services and digital mobilisation agencies, making sure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standard.

POSITION SUMMARY

ROLE SUMMARY
The Global Grants and Engagement Manager is responsible for managing the Grants Programme of ProVeg International and leading the activities and staff within the ProVeg International Grants team. You will ensure the global grantmaking of ProVeg International aligns with its mission and goals, while also engaging with key players in the global plant-based movement, and raising funds for the Grants programme and other movement-building activities.

Team-lead for ProVeg Grants team, including direct line management of Grants Programme Manager.

Oversee quarterly grantmaking process, including reviewing and evaluating proposals, and providing recommendations aligned with ProVeg International’s grantmaking criteria.

This role will support two key College projects; the Global Health Workforce Project for 3 days a week and the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) replacement project for 2 days a week.

The Partnerships Development Officer is a key member of the Partnerships team in the Fundraising & Communications Department.

The Galapagos Islands, Ecuador are one of the planet’s first UNESCO World Heritage Sites and a global conservation priority due to unique biodiversity - with species found nowhere else on Earth, and a local community dependent on maintaining a healthy ocean and island environment. Based in London, Galapagos Conservation Trust (GCT) is the only UK registered charity to focus exclusively on the conservation and sustainable development of the Galapagos Islands. We are looking for a proactive individual with good storytelling skills to produce fundraising applications and reports that inspire. You will be joining our friendly team at an exciting time for the organisation, as we strive to achieve our key ambitions by the year 2030 across our programmes, fundraising and communications efforts. As part of GCT’s Programmes team, you will work closely with the Senior Development Manager (SDM) to secure grant funding from trusts and foundations across our programme portfolio (including island restoration, community & nature, ocean protection and plastic pollution topics), with an increasing focus on securing multi-year funding to embed sustainability in our programme delivery. You will be a great writer, researcher and comfortable working with numbers, enabling you to identify new fundraising opportunities and develop engaging proposals and reports with clear budgets. You will also be an organised individual, ensuring you can effectively balance your time across competing deadlines and tasks.

What you’ll deliver
· Work with the SDM to achieve an annual fundraising target for trusts and foundations income (£285K in 2024), also helping to secure ‘Transformational Gifts’ where required
· Produce high-quality, compelling grant proposals with clear budgets and measurable indicators
· Ensure all trust and foundation donors receive quality reports and a high-level of donor stewardship
· Support the development of GCT’s projects by aligning project plans with fundraising opportunities, including targeted research for new potential trusts and foundations
· Administrative support to the SDM including the upkeep of GCT’s trusts database and planning documents, and coordinating mailings to trusts contacts such as for events or new magazine issues
· Support the SDM with quarterly trust and foundation fundraising updates for the GCT Senior Leadership Team and Board

What you’re responsible for
· Increasing restricted & unrestricted income from trusts and foundations in line with GCT’s fundraising strategy with the SDM
· Researching, writing and submitting proposals to potential funders
· Development of budgets for proposals that secure income against GCT’s planned internal and project spend
· Producing high quality project reports for donors, ensuring all donors are reported to on time
· Maintaining excellent relationships with existing funders through regular communications
· Reviewing annual fundraising success for GCT projects and developing annual fundraising plans for trusts and foundations with the SDM
· Keeping our database and internal documents up-to-date for trust and foundations/key contacts.
Person Specification
Work Experience
· 1-2 years proven experience in trusts fundraising and/or a role that involves strong writing skills (both creative and scientific writing experience is welcomed)
· Experience working with budgets
· Experience fundraising for, or communicating about, environmental/conservation, education or sustainability projects
· Experience of working with a database and managing contact lists
Technical knowledge and skills
· Excellent writing skills with strong attention to detail required
· Experience of working within the charity sector (including relevant voluntary roles)
· Excellent verbal communication skills and a confident and polite telephone manner, and an ability to represent the charity at funder meetings & events
· Ability to organise and prioritise workloads in order to meet deadlines
· Strong research skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
General
· A passion for conservation and the natural world
· A passion for story-telling and inspiring others
· A good team player
· Willingness to undertake any other duties which may be required from time to time (e.g. helping at occasional evening events)
