The Opportunity:

As a Project Officer, your role will be central to cultivating impactful partnerships and overseeing a protfolio of projects that resonate with our mission. You will be instrumental in developing and nurturing relationships, managing grants, evaluating potential projects, and ensuring compliance with UK charity commission regulations. This role is a blend of strategy, passion, and diligence, requiring occasional travel to oversee international projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Identify and nurture new partnerships while strengthening existing ones to maximise our impact on beneficiaries.
2. Oversee grant management, including the evaluation of potential new projects and partners.
3. Proposal Development: Conceptualise, develop, and write proposals, prepare budgets, and pitch projects/programmes to funders and collaborators.
4. Ensure alignment with UK charity commission regulations and BIF policies, liaising with branch offices and delivery partners for grant compliance.
5. Travel as necessary to facilitate and monitor projects, ensuring global standards and organisational goals are met.

Competencies and Qualifications:

1. Demonstrated ability in leading projects with strategic foresight and effective project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
2. Familiarity with UK charity commission regulations and experience ensuring compliance with international standards in project execution.
3. Proven ability to develop partnerships and write compelling proposals, coupled with effective budget management skills.
4. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in diverse cultural environments. Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as required.
5. Robust analytical abilities with a talent for solving complex problems and providing strategic insights.
6. A degree in a relevant field such as International Development or Project Management, and experience in the non-profit sector, preferably in health-related fields.
7. Fluency in English, with Arabic or other languages being advantageous. Experience in leading and motivating teams towards achieving organisational goals.
8. Understanding of financial management principles and a commitment to ethical practices, aligning with BIF’s core values and mission.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individuals to join our fundraising team as a Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer. In this role, you will play a vital role in researching and applying to grant applications in order to help the team raise as much funding as possible to support people experiencing homelessness across London.

About the role:

As the Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer, you will be responsible for maximising income from Trusts and Foundations in order to support SHP’s charitable activities. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and alongside the fundraising team, you will contribute towards the delivery of achieving SHP's overarching vision of a society where everyone has a place to call home and the chance to live a fulfilling life.

In your role, you will be responsible for building and delivering a successful Trusts and Foundations portfolio by focusing on:

• Maximising income from grant-giving organisations to ensure sustainable growth of restricted and unrestricted fundraising.
• Working strategically to build high-impact, high-value relationships with grant funders as well as managing relationships with existing donors.
• Collaborating with teams across the organisation to create compelling fundraising proposals and produce high-quality reports and budgets.
• Proactively maintaining excellent knowledge of Trusts and Statutory fundraising practices in the sector.

Please note the role will follow a hybrid working model, with some days working in our head office in Kings Cross, with ample opportunity to work from home. 

About you: 

• Highly numerate and attentive to detail, with strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically. 
• Entrepreneurial, results-driven and able to work on own initiative and also as part of a team, meeting deadlines under pressure.
• Experience of writing bids or applications including any key successes.
• Experience working with other internal departments to maximise collaboration and impact between the teams.
• Experience building and managing relationships with external funders, including in depth research of funders.

Air Ambulances UK (AAUK) is the national charity supporting the lifesaving work of the UK’s air ambulance charities, enabling them to save even more lives every day.

Purpose of Post 
The Fundraising Partnerships Manager will be responsible for securing and account managing national corporate partnerships, and national trusts and foundations to help air ambulance charities save even more lives across the UK.

• Provide exceptional account management.
• Develop high quality funding proposals.
• Support new business development, identifying and securing new national partnerships and grants in collaboration with the air ambulance community.

Key Responsibilities
Account Management

• To provide exceptional account management to ensure partners meet agreed income and engagement targets and other key objectives.
• Develop and deliver robust national partnership plans, maximise income generation and provide strategic direction to maximise growth within each account.
• Generate income from national partners - including employee fundraising, sponsorship, and cause related marketing.
• To deliver a calendar of key corporate fundraising events, promoting campaigns to national partners and building engagement with them and their audiences.
• To attend partnership meetings, communicate and deliver presentations to staff at all levels.
• Manage and organise the production of compelling materials for bespoke campaigns and ensure AAUK’s campaigns are integrated into national partnership plans with a particular focus on Air Ambulance Week.

Development Activities

• Support national pipeline research and development for partnerships and grants.
• Through strategic research, identify and prioritise potential national trust and foundations (in collaboration with air ambulance charity members), with the ability to give significant grants through partnership working.
• Creation and development of national fundraising proposals and stewardship reports, applying a creative approach where possible.
• Create engaging assets for applications and compelling pitches, delivering pitch presentations virtually and in person.
• Lead on research and applications for agreed national prospects, building long-term relationships with key contacts at prospective partners.
• Work with air ambulance charity members to identify projects and opportunities for national funding from trusts and foundations.

About The Role

Responsibilities include:

Leadership, Strategy and Governance

• To be an active member of the Made in Hackney Senior Leadership Team, working together to galvanise the organisation behind our strategic plan.
• To contribute to strategic discussions on the future direction of the organisation.
• To participate and / or lead in team meetings as appropriate.
• To act as the lead staff team representative on the Strategy and Fundraising Board Sub-committee, actively contributing and working with Trustees, as well as attending Board meetings.

Fundraising and Development

• To co-design and write grant applications and secure grant funding from Trusts, Foundations or Corporate entities in line with our annual target (likely to be in the range of £400k-£500k).
• To work with the Partnerships Manager to secure Fundraising income from individual givers, major donors, Crowdfunding campaigns and other fundraising initiatives in line with our annual target (likely to be in the range of £200k).
• To develop and execute an annual fundraising strategy: building a sustainable portfolio consisting of grants and donations from individuals, corporates, trusts and foundations, to ensure long-term sustainable funding of activities.
• To research and prospect future funders.
• To maintain precise and up-to-date records on current and potential supporters and prospects.
• To create engaging fundraising communication tools.
• To establish partnerships for joint programmes and funding bids where beneficial.

Donor stewardship & reporting

• To retain current donors and maximise fundraising opportunities, including delivering a programme of appropriate stewardship opportunities with the core team.
• To work with the team to co-design programmes and their evaluation requirements to ensure the organisation meets the grant funders' requirements. 
• To complete reporting to grant funders, including developing report templates, creating reports, case studies, and other administrative requirements. 

Communications

• To input into MIH’S communications strategy and the planning and implementation of improvements to marketing plans, digital presence and social media strategy to ensure impact and fundraising successes are communicated
• To maintain a stock of impact-focused case studies and success stories and ensure fundraising successes are communicated on social media and online.
• To ensure the robust monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of fundraising strategies and campaigns; providing key input to the annual report and impact report.
• To coordinate fundraising events with the Community Partnerships Manager. 

Line Management

• To have direct line management responsibility for the Community Partnerships Manager and Social Media & Marketing Manager, creating a supportive environment for growth and development.

The Royal Hospital Chelsea has secured a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to restore and adapt our Grade II* Stable Block, designed by Sir John Soane, into a state-of-the-art Visitor Centre with an expected annual footfall of 36,000 visitors.  

We are seeking a Retail Manager to oversee the day to day operation of the new Soane Stable Yard shop, Post Office counter, and online shop. This pivotal role involves ensuring exceptional customer service, driving sales, and leading a fantastic team.

The Retail Manager will train and manage a dedicated team of staff, Chelsea Pensioners and volunteers . In addition to driving high levels of customer service, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering against sales target, inventory management, visual merchandising, product sourcing and development and management of the online shop.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Sport Team. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Opportunities Programme as Sports Manager. In this role, you will play a vital role in overseeing our in-house and community-based Sport Project. Your aim: To help make physical activity accessible to those experiencing homelessness.

About the role:

As the Sports Manager, you will be responsible for The Sport Project. You will be overseeing the day to day running of the project and management of the team including Sports Coordinators, freelancers, volunteers, and peers. You will be leading on expanding the reach of the project, forming partnerships with like-minded organisation and charities and advocating for the importance of physical activity within the homeless sector.

In your role, you will also manage relationships for grant givers and funders, including being responsible for budgets, reporting and reconciliations. Additionally you will support the team in the wider role out of the project across the homelessness community, at time this may involve helping to deliver a proportion of physical activity and helping to engage wider groups of participants and staff.

The approach taken with clients will be psychologically informed, incorporating an understanding of complex trauma and addiction. The outcomes for your role, include developing positive and sustained relationships with external partners and helping to make physical activity accessible.

About you:

• Experience managing staff or volunteers and freelancers.
• Experience and knowledge of managing projects or partnerships.
• Experience working with people from a variety of backgrounds and in different settings.
• Your toolkit includes practical expertise in group dynamics and co-production, or you have the enthusiasm and aptitude to develop these skills.
• Experience of working or supporting vulnerable people, rough sleepers or people with mental health, physical health or substance use support needs.
• A non-judgmental approach to working with multi-disadvantaged/complex needs clients and to promote a strengths-based approach and an understanding of and commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.
• Strong team-working and interpersonal skills, maintaining a collaborative approach to delivering .service objectives across work specialisms.

About you

We are looking for a confident, big picture policy expert to work alongside the Director of Policy & Communications and lead our ambitious policy team to deliver impact. You will take evidence from the field and lab to the heart of governments across the UK, influencing change through science.

You will play a key role in the team's direction and have demonstrable knowledge of environmental policy, and established leadership and communication experience.

About the role

Reporting to our Director of Policy and Communications, the Senior Policy Manager will:

• Identify key areas of policy focus where the BES is uniquely able to add value to national conversations around biodiversity and climate.
• Direct the work of Policy Officers to deliver the BES policy strategic aims and objectives, and work collaboratively with the Policy Committee.
• Help identify and convene key stakeholders from the ecological community, including academics, eNGOs, policy makers, funders, and landowners and managers, to discuss, debate and coalesce around recommendations.
• Oversee our policy reports at both a national and UK level, working with authors and contributors to deliver publications that move a debate on and are resonant to their audiences.
• Organise events for ecological and policy audiences, independently and in partnership with other organisations, to foster knowledge exchange and collaboration.
• Track legislation and policies at the devolved, national and international levels and identify opportunities for BES input and influence.

Room to Heal is a human rights charity and therapeutic community based in London. Our mission is to support people who have survived or witnessed torture and organised violence to rebuild their lives in exile, through an integrated programme of therapeutic and casework assistance. We offer a range of activities including: therapy groups, gardening and food-growing, individual therapy and casework, theatre workshops, cooking and social gatherings, and therapeutic retreats.

At the heart of our work lies the cultivation of community, through which our members can restore meaningful relationships with themselves and others, overcome the legacy of their traumatic experiences and integrate into the UK. Our community is currently made up of over 100 members from over 30 countries: including former political prisoners; people who have been persecuted on account of their sexuality or religious belief; and those who have escaped trafficking.

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team and lead our fundraising efforts. This is a key role in ensuring we have the resources to continue providing vital support to survivors of torture and human rights violations. As the Fundraising Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, building relationships with key donors, and exceeding fundraising goals. We are predominantly funded by Trusts and Foundations and you will play a very important role in maintaining and expanding this funder base, as well as helping Room to Heal to diversify our income streams.
