E3G PROGRAMME FINANCE LEAD, OPERATIONS, LONDON
E3G funding comes from a wide variety of funders around the world. We are looking for a CCAB qualified finance person with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a charity or not-for-profit programme finance context. The role will work with the Chief Financial Officer and Programme Leads to manage our financial relationships with these funders and the end-to-end finance activities across our funders and programmes.

Founded in 2004, E3G is a not for profit organisation who are world leading strategists on the political economy of climate change, dedicated to achieving a safe climate for all. Our goal is to translate climate politics, economics and policies into action.
E3G currently has offices in London, Brussels, Berlin and Washington DC. Some European travel is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing monthly internal project reporting to project leads.
- Managing external funder reporting and project audits.
- Liasing with project leads and project management team to provide expert advice and ensure compliance with funder regulations across projects.
- Supporting with the development and review of funder budgets for grant proposals.
- Managing staff rate card process for charging out time to funders.
- Managing cash receipts process from funders.
- Delivering regular funder income and cashflow forecasting.
- Supporting statutory audit process for revenue recognition on projects.
- Supporting management and development of internal project management system.
- Ad hoc financial analysis as required to support strategic decision making.
- Management of one Assistant Finance Manager

Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
- Qualified accountant with a minimum of three years post qualification experience.
- A strong desire to work for a climate change, not for profit organisation is essential. Experience in not-for-profit or charity organisations is essential.
- Strong Excel skills are essential with the ability to work competently with minimum supervision.
- Solid organisational skills and good attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Hybrid Working but ideally at least 2 days per week in the London office.

We are medical experts applying our skills and knowledge to make a difference in the world. We bring together the global community of medical imaging professionals to make the case for diagnostic imaging.
Since 2017, Worldwide Radiology has been steadily growing from a small group of founding UK radiologists with experience of working in limited resource settings to an international team of around 50 long-term volunteers from a range of different imaging and clinical backgrounds.
We support the development of appropriate, high quality imaging services in low and middle income countries; from central teaching hospitals to remote district clinics. We work together with our partners to build the necessary skills and capacity to improve patient care and we aim to increase opportunities for imaging research focused on local or national healthcare priorities.

Overview
The Programme Manager role will be crucial to the success and development of the charity. You will be responsible for the management and delivery of 3+ Worldwide Radiology projects, operating across Malawi, Ghana and The Gambia.
The Programme Manager will be responsible for quickly grasping the needs of three ongoing projects, steering them toward desired impact, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, and managing risks effectively to bring these projects into shape.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working with key stakeholders, including our volunteers, partners and donors to build and nurture strong working relationships.
They will contribute to seeking out further grant opportunities within the sector, working closely with the rest of the programmes team and the fundraising team.

The Head of Research and Programmes is a new role, leading and overseeing the delivery of our grant-making activity across eye research and social change: delivering first class grant programmes that respond to need as our organisation scales up. Overseeing our Grant Programmes
· Driving work in areas where our organisation can add value and meet need, including scoping new potential programmes and partnerships as well as ensuring our current programmes evolve
· Lead on delivering high quality funding programmes that meet regulatory (AMRC) requirements as appropriate and provide an excellent experience for applicants, both successful and unsuccessful
· Be responsible for the financial management of budget associated with our funding programmes, working closely with the Finance Team

About this role
This role is an opportunity to participate in the global movement to protect the natural world; meeting and supporting incredible communities and organisations driving change to secure a sustainable future. You will be supporting our partners and carrying out grant administration in the Amphibian and Congo Basin Programmes, for which proficiency in both French and English is essential.
The role will be a fundamental part of Synchronicity Earth’s Programmes team (currently a team of seven people), working to help develop and grow the support we provide to our partners (grantees) across our programmes. Please note that first-stage interviews for this role will be conducted in both French and English.
Specific responsibilities will include the following:
- Manage some grantee partner relationships, including building trust and openness, identifying capacity needs, administrating grants, monitoring progress and fulfilling reporting requirements.
- Provide administrative support across the Programmes Team with grant management e.g. preparing of grant paperwork, reviewing partner reports and checklists (proposals), monitoring pipelines.
- Undertake research in focal areas for the Programmes Team, such as identifying intervention points and opportunities to make a difference in conservation.
- Contribute to communication products, including donor reports and applications, to support Synchronicity Earth’s fundraising and philanthropic goals.
- Produce and contribute to board papers and discussions.
- Update and undertake due diligence.
- Manage and maintain partner database, including data entry, preparing reports and basic analysis.
- Contribute to the development of Synchronicity Earth’s processes and systems around partner management and due diligence.

Synchronicity Earth is a UK-based, global environmental charity which funds work that aims to make our planet a better place to live for all its inhabitants.
We are a medium-sized charity which supports partners working to protect less well-known species and ecosystems around the world that receive less attention but face the greatest threats. We do this through our Conservation Programmes, which identify, fund, and support organisations with a focus on: Amphibians, Asian Species, Congo Basin, Biocultural Diversity, Freshwater, and Ocean. Reporting, location, and work hours
This position is a permanent full-time position that is based in the Synchronicity Earth offices in Central London, with the option for hybrid office/home working if the successful applicant wishes with 2 days a week in the office (laptop would be provided for home working). The successful candidate must be already eligible to work in the UK.
Annual leave
25 days per year for a full-time position (in addition to public holidays), adjusted for part-time. We also run an employer-supported volunteering programme, where employees may take additional time-off (2 days per annum) to volunteer for community organisations and other charities (in accordance with our policy).

Review process: The application process will have three stages. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure:
- Effective outreach for recruitment onto our programmes

PERSON SPECIFICATION
You will be someone who is naturally warm/ a people person, compassionate and enabling, and who also has fantastic project management/ organisational skills. You may come from a senior youth worker background or other front line organisations working with young vulnerable adults.

About the role:
As the Sports Manager, you will be responsible for The Sport Project. You will be overseeing the day to day running of the project and management of the team including Sports Coordinators, freelancers, volunteers, and peers. You will be leading on expanding the reach of the project, forming partnerships with like-minded organisation and charities and advocating for the importance of physical activity within the homeless sector.
In your role, you will also manage relationships for grant givers and funders, including being responsible for budgets, reporting and reconciliations. On the Edge (OtE) is a London-based charity on a mission to emotionally reconnect people with nature through smart, entertaining, social-media-based storytelling. We are especially interested in reaching young people who do not engage with traditional nature content. By fostering a reconnection with the natural world, our stories aim to create advocates for its protection and restoration. On the Edge is also a science-based, grant-giving organisation that funds conservation projects around the world.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a programmes officer or manager with at least 1 years’ experience in conservation grant making. This role will facilitate the management of all conservation and storytelling grants awarded, as well as managing relationships, grant proposal development, budgets and impact measuring. This role will provide some opportunity to travel as part of our capacity building training programmes.
This is an exciting time for OtE as we have just launched a new grant approach. Our in-house programme will be the first of its kind and will rapidly increase conservation attention towards EDGE species and zones. The programmes officer/manager will play a key role in the development and expansion of this grant approach.
Responsibilities:
• Contributes to the development and implementation of the grant programme’s strategy
• Supports the development and management of our grant portfolio, including researching new granting opportunities in line with the strategic directions (especially grassroots and national level actors), scoping and developing proposals with prospective grantees.
• Supports grantees through our funding model which may include coordinated activities with grantees and capacity building, developing systems for and overseeing grantee reporting, and conducts the monitoring and evaluation of grants against our impact framework, which may include site visits.
• Contributes to the setting of program budgets, allocation of funds, and supports the COO in financial reporting.
• Represents OtE in a variety of settings, including among peer groups and at public events.
• Contributes to supporting activities, relationships and networking with the conservation and philanthropic sectors, developing trust and collaboration and identifying aligned goals, helping to shape and align priorities in the grant-making sector.
• Keeps up to date with mapping and assessment of NGO impacts and donor grant-making in our target areas to ensure our grant-making adds value, including identifying barriers to success and gaps in the field or funding.
Qualifications and Experience required
• A university degree in a field relevant to conservation or science. A post-graduate degree would be an asset but is not essential.
• At least 1 years in of one or more of the following: biodiversity conservation, grant-making and the philanthropic sector, conservation communications/education.
• Experience in designing, leading and implementing successful projects with partners
• Experience in planning, strategy development and delivery would be an advantage
• Experience of budgetary and financial management is essential.
• Excellent research, analytical and writing skills, including in risk assessment, evaluation of potential projects and organisational success.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, networking skills, project and people management experience and able to work with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
• Strong computer skills
• Fluency in spoken and written English. Knowledge of other languages is an asset
• Highly organised and able to develop organisational systems as and when needed, able to track and work to multiple deadlines

ROLE SUMMARY
The Global Grants and Engagement Manager is responsible for managing the Grants Programme of ProVeg International and leading the activities and staff within the ProVeg International Grants team. You will ensure the global grantmaking of ProVeg International aligns with its mission and goals, while also engaging with key players in the global plant-based movement, and raising funds for the Grants programme and other movement-building activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Grants Programme :

Team-lead for ProVeg Grants team, including direct line management of Grants Programme Manager.

Oversee quarterly grantmaking process, including reviewing and evaluating proposals, and providing recommendations aligned with ProVeg International’s grantmaking criteria.

Ensure that all grantmaking is aligned and approved by all decision makers, including CEO, funder network, and Board Members.

Oversee the team to ensure that all grants admin is fulfilled, including due diligence, and payment processing aligned with US regulations; accurately tracked grant records; queries are responded to timely, etc.

Oversee and optimise grantmaking process infrastructure, and regularly implement improvements as needed.

Oversee and optimise further capacity building initiatives developed for global grantee network
Stakeholder Engagement:

Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, donors, and other sources aligned with ProVeg's mission.

Collaborate with internal teams to develop engagement strategies for stakeholders including donors, grantees, and supporters.

Build and nurture relationships with existing and potential donors, foundations, and funding organisations to cultivate support for ProVeg's programmes and initiatives.

Represent ProVeg at meetings, conferences, and events to promote our mission and establish strategic partnerships.

Develop and oversee strategies to engage with individuals and organisations through digital platforms, including social media, email campaigns, and virtual events.
Strategic Development:

Continue to develop the Strategy of ProVeg Grants Programme in alignment with ProVeg International’s global strategy and the wider plant-based advocacy/food system transformation movement.

Ensure alignment, communication and collaboration across ProVeg International’s wider network and global initiatives.
Monitoring and Reporting:

Track and evaluate grant programme’s performance against established goals and objectives, providing regular updates to stakeholders.

Prepare timely and accurate reports for funders, highlighting project achievements, impact, and financial accountability.

Monitor Grants Programme budgets, expenditures, and timelines to ensure effective utilisation of funds and compliance with funder requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in grantmaking and donor relations in the nonprofit sector is a must.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as nonprofit management, international development, communications, or related field). Master's degree preferred.

Highly organised and able to translate complex ideas into tangible and actionable tasks.

Proven track record of successfully securing grants from diverse funding sources.

Strong communication skills, including exceptional writing and editing abilities.

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders.

Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Experience working with databases and grant management software (HubSpot).

Travel once per quarter for 4-5 days per trip will be likely.
