Job description

Emmaus Oxford is seeking applications for the role of Progression Worker; this is a fulltime fixed term role [until 03/01/23].The successful applicant will be working with a small team of Support workers in our project in Cowley, Oxford. We provide housing & support to up to 28 ex-homeless men & women at any one time, who also work in our social enterprise.The Progression Worker is a key part of the team supporting people into training, education and employment. The role involves working one to one and in groups with people seeking to change their lives. We are looking for a well organised, compassionate and professional individual who can motivate people and build lasting positive relationships.The role involves finding opportunities, signposting, helping with applications, finding accommodation, liaising with employers and landlords, helping people move into new homes and providing support to those that have moved on successfully. We are seeking to expand and develop our training and development activities over the next twelve months and there is a possibility that this role will be continued and /or expanded after the end of the contract period.
