Chell Perkins Ltd are looking for FOUR people who are passionate about bringing positive change through fundraising. We want to nurture a new generation of fundraisers to provide charities with access to exceptional fundraising support.
We offer a four-month/16 week fully paid traineeship (approx £1,700pm gross) working with real clients in a fundraising consultancy and gaining a recognised certificate with education credits towards CFRE to give you a real headstart in working in the charity sector. There are a number of vacancies at Chell Perkins, and at the end of the course trainees will be eligible to apply for a permanent position.
This immersive programme starts on 2nd September 2024 and is home-based, with high-quality training and plenty of support from our experienced fundraising team.

About the role
This role is responsible for managing and developing the charity’s portfolio of Trusts and Foundations, securing significant gifts and growing the long-term potential of this portfolio (target for 2024 is £378,000). There are no direct reports, however the successful candidate will be expected to work closely with Senior Management Teams, other departments and stakeholders to build and develop cases for support to help fund our much-needed work.
The successful candidate will utilise their expert writing skills to shape those cases for support into compelling, high-quality proposals and reports.
Being able to build relationships with a wide range of audiences including funders is key. Inspiring them to support kidney patients across the UK and engage with the kidney community, enabling them to tell their stories and better communicate how larger Trust grants can make a real difference for people with chronic kidney disease.
A dynamic, self-motivated, ambitious and pro-active fundraiser is required for this role, demonstrating enthusiasm for the projects and services we are seeking funds to support.
About you
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience and a proven track record of successful income generation and delivering against targets.
You will have demonstratable experience in researching potential Trust funders, submitting compelling proposals, securing funding and project managing successful bids through to completion of the grant award.
You will also have a background in report writing and demonstrating grant impact whilst being able to build relationships with funders, individual/major donors and senior stakeholders.

• Develop relationships with the Senior Management Team and other key stakeholders across the charity maximising every opportunity for cultivation and development
• Plan and organise opportunities for funders to view Kidney Care UK’s work first-hand, ensuring all safeguarding procedures are followed and met.
Reporting
• Compile comprehensive and compelling progress reports to feed back to grant makers in atimely fashion and incentivise continued support

• Draw down on any multi-year grants as outlined in our annual budget

Join Fight Bladder Cancer's mission to revolutionise care for individuals battling bladder cancer. We're seeking a Grants Coordinator for England, Wales, and Northern Ireland to join our team. Position Overview
Hours: Targeting 7.5 hours per week, flexible scheduling.
Reporting To: Chief Executive of Fight Bladder Cancer
Salary: Annual range of £25,642.50-£29,503.50 pro rata. For 7.5 hours weekly, this equates to £5,128.50-£5,900.70 per year
Benefits: 8% pension contribution. Annual leave of 30 days plus 8 bank holidays on a pro-rata basis (equalling 6 days plus 1.6 bank holidays for 7.5 hours/week workers).
Location: Home-based, with periodic travel to Oxfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and London.

Your role
You'll identify and secure funding opportunities, develop compelling grant proposals, and foster strong relationships with funders, alongside colleagues such as the Fundraising Coordinator and Support Services Manager. Your work will be tied to enhancing the awareness of bladder cancer and support for those affected by bladder cancer.

We are working in partnership with Me2 Club who are looking for a Fundraising Manager to deliver their fundraising strategy and secure income from a diverse range of sources, with a focus on Trusts and Foundations.
Every year Me 2 Club match passionate and committed volunteers with children and young people who have additional needs and disabilities, enabling them to attend and participate in mainstream leisure activities. Activities that others take for granted, but that can help them build confidence, self-esteem and independence and end self-isolation and exclusion.
In this newly created role, the Fundraising Manager will build positive relationships with funders and individuals, inspiring them to give their support. With line management responsibility for the Community Fundraiser, you will play a vital role in delivering community-based fundraising activities and corporate partnerships, playing a critical role in making sure that Me2Club can support more children.
You will have:
- Experience with identifying funding opportunities, particularly through Trusts and Foundations, maintaining a pipeline of funding opportunities with an innovative and creative approach to problem solving and ability to capitalise on opportunities.
- A track record of consistently achieving ambitious fundraising targets, generating income through a range of sources including Trusts and Foundations, Corporate Partners, and Commissioned Services.
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written, with the ability to create compelling cases for support and delivering impactful presentations that tell stories and lead to supportive actions being taken.
- A strategic and evidence-led approach to measure impact and influence change, with ideally strong influencing skills in a range of settings including commissioning, contracts, and advocacy.
- Nurturing and growing relationships with a range of stakeholders and able to quickly build trust and confidence including working with and building strong, positive relationships with Trustees.
With excellent organisational and prioritising skills, risk management and decision making, ideally you will have line-management and team leadership experience including volunteer management or delivering fundraising through the use of volunteers. An understanding of the needs of children and teenagers with additional needs and disabilities is desirable but not essential.
