ROLE SUMMARY
The Global Grants and Engagement Manager is responsible for managing the Grants Programme of ProVeg International and leading the activities and staff within the ProVeg International Grants team. You will ensure the global grantmaking of ProVeg International aligns with its mission and goals, while also engaging with key players in the global plant-based movement, and raising funds for the Grants programme and other movement-building activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Grants Programme :

Team-lead for ProVeg Grants team, including direct line management of Grants Programme Manager.

Oversee quarterly grantmaking process, including reviewing and evaluating proposals, and providing recommendations aligned with ProVeg International’s grantmaking criteria.

Ensure that all grantmaking is aligned and approved by all decision makers, including CEO, funder network, and Board Members.

Oversee the team to ensure that all grants admin is fulfilled, including due diligence, and payment processing aligned with US regulations; accurately tracked grant records; queries are responded to timely, etc.

Oversee and optimise grantmaking process infrastructure, and regularly implement improvements as needed.

Oversee and optimise further capacity building initiatives developed for global grantee network
Stakeholder Engagement:

Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, donors, and other sources aligned with ProVeg's mission.

Collaborate with internal teams to develop engagement strategies for stakeholders including donors, grantees, and supporters.

Build and nurture relationships with existing and potential donors, foundations, and funding organisations to cultivate support for ProVeg's programmes and initiatives.

Represent ProVeg at meetings, conferences, and events to promote our mission and establish strategic partnerships.

Develop and oversee strategies to engage with individuals and organisations through digital platforms, including social media, email campaigns, and virtual events.
Strategic Development:

Continue to develop the Strategy of ProVeg Grants Programme in alignment with ProVeg International’s global strategy and the wider plant-based advocacy/food system transformation movement.

Ensure alignment, communication and collaboration across ProVeg International’s wider network and global initiatives.
Monitoring and Reporting:

Track and evaluate grant programme’s performance against established goals and objectives, providing regular updates to stakeholders.

Prepare timely and accurate reports for funders, highlighting project achievements, impact, and financial accountability.

Monitor Grants Programme budgets, expenditures, and timelines to ensure effective utilisation of funds and compliance with funder requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in grantmaking and donor relations in the nonprofit sector is a must.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as nonprofit management, international development, communications, or related field). Master's degree preferred.

Highly organised and able to translate complex ideas into tangible and actionable tasks.

Proven track record of successfully securing grants from diverse funding sources.

Strong communication skills, including exceptional writing and editing abilities.

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders.

Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Experience working with databases and grant management software (HubSpot).

Key responsibilities and duties
The post holder will have the following areas of responsibility: -
1.Fundraising (55%)
a.Research and identify fundraising opportunities;
b.Write and submit grant applications and funding bids;

d.Promote and coordinate opportunities for individual giving, including online donor platforms, newsletters, regular social media communications, campaigns, and events (with support from trustees);

2.Project Management (15%)
a.Assist the Legal Director with partner meetings to ensure smooth set-up of projects;

c.Update the Client Liaison Officer/s on monitoring and evaluation requirements and make necessary amendments to systems / forms to capture relevant data.
d.Manage project funding through allocations in Quickbooks, with support from Finance Officer where necessary.
3.Monitoring and Evaluation (30%)
a.Regularly update overview of case records and track enquiry numbers, calculating statistics and reporting these to Legal Director, trustees, and external parties where relevant;
b.Prepare and submit monitoring reports to donors with statistics and testimonials gathered by the Client Liaison team;
c.Attend and lead monitoring meetings with donors;
d.Prepare the annual report with support from trustees and Finance Officer;
e.Create internal and external communications to share results, with support from trustees.

Background to the post
An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Officer. The postholder will be responsible for overseeing the financial administration of the Asylum Justice office, maintaining accurate financial records and accounts (with support from the Treasurer), claiming GiftAid, and liaising with suppliers. This role will have limited client contact as the focus of the role is to lead on maintaining financial processes.
Key responsibilities and duties
The post holder will have the following areas of responsibility: -
1. Finance (90%)
a.Maintain accurate financial records, process invoices, and set up online payments for authorisation;
b.Draft monthly payroll figures to send to the accountants.
c.Work with the Funding Officer to use QuickBooks in keeping track of payments and grant fund expenditures.
d.Liaise with the Treasurer and Chair of Asylum Justice in order to produce quarterly budget reports.
e.Aid preparation of financial information and budgets for funding bids, grant reporting and audits with support from the Treasurer and Funding Officer.
f.Liaise with auditor and Treasurer for annual accounts.
g.Process GiftAid claims with support from Funding Officer.
h.Perform other financial administrative duties where necessary.
2. Operations Support (10%)
a.Assist in procuring equipment / supplies / services / travel / accommodation as required.
b.Liaise with suppliers such as our IT Consultant / case management system provider to ensure maintenance of the organisation’s infrastructure.
c.Manage of accreditation/subscription renewals and safe and accurate storing of key documents in the operations SharePoint.

The Finance Manager of Clybiau Plant Cymru Kids’ Clubs in partnership with the Chief Executive Officer and the Board is responsible for the success of the organisation with responsibility in particular for:

Role Description
The Peter Sowerby Foundation is a significant, charitable grant-maker, supporting work in the fields of health, education and community, the arts and the environment.
Registered with the Charity Commission in 2011, the Foundation aims to fulfil the charitable aims of its late settlor, Dr Peter Sowerby, who was a retired GP from rural North Yorkshire and founding partner in Egton Medical Information Systems (EMIS), which now provides database and records management software for over 10,000 healthcare organisations in the UK.
The Foundation is currently managed by a board of four Trustees. These include David Aspinall, Chair of Trustees; Dr David Stables, Peter Sowerby’s former GP partner and an expert in management information systems; Sara Siegel Poulios, lead partner in Deloitte’s Healthcare Strategy who has been seconded to senior positions in the Department of Health and NHS, and Dr Carole Longson, Chief Scientific Officer at the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI).
Since it was established in 2013, the Foundation has awarded hundreds of grants. Some of these have been small grants to local, grass-roots organisations, whilst others have been to large, well-established charities and educational institutions. In total, the Foundation has awarded c. £15 million in grants since inception.
The Foundation currently receives grant solicitation and directorial support, under contract, from Cause4 and an outsourced finance function provided by FLB Accountants.
The Foundation is currently seeking a new Administrator to the Board.
The Administrator will provide an efficient support and administrative service to the Board (especially the Chair) by providing co-ordination for grant execution, board administration and governance compliance.
Other duties will include supporting administrative duties as required by the Trustees and their advisers.
Specific Responsibilities:
Governance
· Supporting the Chair and trustees in ensuring that the charity law and regulatory requirements of reporting and public accountability are complied with.
· Ensuring that the Foundation’s internal governance policies are comprehensive and regularly reviewed in accordance with Charity Commission guidelines.
Administration
· Coordinating Board meetings.
· Liaising with the Chair/Grant Manager to plan, arrange agendas and support the development of papers for trustee meetings, along with the preparation of the subsequent minutes.
· Providing secretarial support to the Chair and trustees – for example, note taking at meetings or arranging additional meetings and visits to grantees.

To fill this position, we are looking for a Head of Finance professional who can help build a positive, supportive work culture that aligns with our strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Finance is fundamental to our success as a membership organisation and charity.
This is a critical position within the senior leadership team and will operate at a strategic and operational level, taking overall responsibility for the financial management, financial risk management, procurement and compliance functions. The post holder will be a qualified accountant who is responsible for the development of financial strategy, long term financial forecast, management accounts, reports, organisational performance and framework as part of a dynamic senior leadership team. The role requires an individual capable of thinking strategically and being hands-on.
To fill this position, we are looking for a highly knowledgeable individual who has significant previous experience operating within a charity and membership organisation.
To be successful you will have
- A qualification in accountancy (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA) and an active member of a professional body/network.
- Extensive experience of providing financial leadership and oversight in organisations.
- Demonstrable experience of leading change, building organisational capability, and driving performance and inclusion, in a people positive manner.
- Experience of leading and co-ordinating organisation-wide business plans, monitoring and evaluating performance in line with financial resources.
- Strong knowledge of charity governance and company law and regulatory bodies returns relating to charity and company finances.
- Knowledge of financial regulations, including statutory accounting, budgeting, forecasting management reporting and cash management.
- Ability to successfully interact with the Board and other key stakeholders and lead presentations to the Board and sub committees on financial matters.
- Recent experience of producing annual consolidated statutory accounts, in compliance with FRS102 and supporting external and internal audits

Our Innovation Managers are passionate about identifying the most pressing humanitarian problems, analysing opportunities for innovation, working with sector experts to investigate solutions and designing funding calls to address them. They provide technical oversight and effective management across a portfolio of innovation grants, and share learning both internally and externally through thought leadership and external representation of Elrha.
Note - This is not a fundraising role; the HIF aims to improve outcomes for people affected by humanitarian crises by identifying more effective and scalable innovative solutions.
