Programme Coordinator – Learning from Consortia

London-based role normally

Role Requirements

An exciting opportunity has emerged to support the start-up of a new programme – Learning from Consortia.  This is a high profile programme supporting the learning from recipients of DFID’s UK Aid Connect funding.  The Programme Coordinator is the key day-to-day person responsible for the successful coordination of the new Learning from Consortia (LfC) programme.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic team player, a confident communicator and be flexible and hard working in a programme start-up environment.  They will bring significant programme or project coordination experience, be able to support partnerships, have Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) expertise, be adaptable to changes in the programme and be passionate about learning from consortia programmes.

Key Role Responsibilities

Programme planning and reporting (40%)

  • Support the programme design and planning phase, to ensure all stakeholders are clear on tasks needed and their timelines and how the programme plans relate to overall programme delivery
  • Work with the Programme Manager to establish, coordinate and maintain reliable cross-organisational Learning from Consortia programme monitoring, reporting and learning systems and approaches, supporting consistent practice across different teams.

Programme support (50%)

  • Work closely with the Programme Manager to ensure the programme is monitored, tasks are clear, meetings are supported and programme documentation is filed appropriately and securely.
  • Coordinate peer learning, and discussions on policy and practice in the sector by supporting the convening of relevant working groups for the 14 UK Aid Connect consortia.
  • Liaise with programme partners, external consultants and DFID counterparts as needed.
  • Coordinate and update external-facing programme content on Bond’s website and Salesforce and support the roll out of digital systems and collaboration tools.

Administrative and Cross-Organisational support (10%)

  • Maintain effective liaison with other teams on organisation-wide initiatives, representing the Learning from Consortia programme team internally e.g. at the weekly communication meeting.
