A bit about the role:

As a Group Capital Accounting Manager, you will provide accounting support on all areas related to fixed assets and grants, manage the reporting of fixed assets both from a Group and a subsidiary perspective and be key in delivering a successful audit process liaising with external auditors. You will manage the team responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of Fixed asset accounting records. Some of the key results for the role include:

• To maintain the Fixed Asset Register, Grant Register, Investment Property Register and Other Fixed asset register updates
• Work with internal stakeholders where required to ensure all registers are updated on a timely basis with accurate information and reconciling each register to the General Ledger at each reporting period.
• Provide effective and appropriate challenge of the business area to minimise financial risk and implement controls.
• Line manage the team to ensure a consistent and reliable service to stakeholders.
• Facilitate the completion of audit queries for the relevant directorates.
• Lead on the year-end valuation of investment properties from a finance perspective.

This role will require a minimum of 1 day a week working in the central London office.

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll be partnering with the Start Network as part of our Global Programmes division, working and influencing the relevant teams to support their strategic decision making and managing income/expenditure budgets across divisional areas of significant variability.

Start Network is an independent charity made up of more than 80 aid agency members across five continents, including international, national and local organisations who aim to deliver more effective emergency aid, harnessing the power and knowledge of the network to make faster and better decisions to help people affected by crises. 

The Start Platform maintains a strong relationship with Save the Children as the grant custodian of many of the Start Network's programmes, so whilst you'll be embedded within the finance team at Save the Children UK in this role, you'll be playing a key role dedicated to the Start Network.

As Finance Business Partner, you will support and drive the business areas you partner with, including Start Funds and Risk Financing, in maximising impact for children through delivery of effective and efficient financial performance and awards management.

In this role, you will: 

• Provide strategic and financial decision support to your assigned team within Global Programmes to underpin strong financial performance
• Provide effective monthly reporting to support regular reviews of business performance
• Work alongside the business to develop forecasts, budgets, and longer-term financial plans
• Develop business models underpinning financial planning and provide the financial inputs for business cases
• Assist teams in developing their strategy and building business cases for investment spend within their areas, providing financial and commercial insight and challenging to ensure best value for money and efficiencies.

About you

You'll be an experienced qualified certified accountant with relevant post qualification experience, ideally in the not-for-profit sector. 

You'll have excellent stakeholder management skills, with the proven ability to work collaboratively and influence the decision making of a diverse set of stakeholders.

To be successful, you'll demonstrate:

• Experience providing strategic and finance business partnering support to senior managers
• Experience in the preparation of management accounts and involvement in financial planning and budgeting processes
• Experience managing awards, including budget and financial report preparation
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (and an advanced Excel user)

About the role  

Smart Works are looking to appoint an exceptional Finance Manager to join our finance team at a time of significant growth for the organisation. Working closely with the existing finance team of four, the Finance Manager will play a crucial role in safeguarding the financial health of Smart Works Charity and its network of eleven centres across the UK.

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA part qualified (or equivalent, e.g. AAT qualified).

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

About the role

This role will provide financial and operational leadership and management for CCLC particularly focussed on the Legal Practice Unit and the Migrant Children’s Project but with support for the Child Law Advice Service and Coram International where required. Managing a small finance team, the role will hold primary responsibility for core financial functions within CCLC including legal aid billing and management and tracking of grant and other charitable funding. Through systematic and efficient financial management, the post holder will play a pivotal role in CCLC’s financial sustainability. The role will act as a key point of contact with Coram’s central finance team and a range of internal and external stakeholders on financial matters.

The role will also oversee the smooth running of the London and Colchester offices through line management of operations and administrative staff.

The role would suit a high organised and efficient business support professional with experience of financial management within the legal or charity sector. In particular, candidates with experience of legal billing and more specifically, civil legal aid billing, would be welcomed.

This is a largely office-based role in order to fully provide support to the finance and operations team. However, some remote / hybrid working may be possible depending the experience of the candidate after the initial settling in period (to be negotiated with the successful candidate).The finance team are split between the London and Colchester offices and the post holder should expect some travel to both locations. The large majority of the legal and policy team are based in London and as such regular (at least twice weekly) presence in our London office will be expected. As Finance Treasury Manager, your day-to-day will consist of:

• Leading and motivating a team to provide exceptional financial accounting and treasury services.
• Overseeing the entire year-end process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

This is an exciting time for the National Gallery as we prepare to celebrate our Bicentenary, and this role offers a fantastic opportunity to help shape the future of the Gallery as we begin our third century by influencing our financial strategy to keep our ambitious programme of activities sustainable and delivering optimal value for money.

In the role, you will be responsible for leading the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles at the group level, as well as ensuring that monthly reporting is timely, accurate, and continuously evolving to best suit the needs of the business. You will be expected to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders to become a trusted and valued advisor, and be someone who can influence financial and operation outcomes through insights, analysis, and guidance that will directly impact business performance.

Key areas of responsibilities;

• To manage the monthly reporting process for the Group as a whole, to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results to the Head of Finance, Budget Holders, the Executive Board, and Trustees, including operating result, projects, capital, risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate the review of actual and forecast results against budget, obtaining and recording variance explanations, identifying material issues and mitigating actions.
• To lead the annual budget process and quarterly forecasts for the group, including agreement of an overall framework and communication with budget holders.
• Coordinate the preparation of budget schedules (revenue, capital and projects) and consolidation of the budget pack for presentation to the Executive, Finance Committee, and the main Trustee board.
• To support the Head of Finance in the development of the financial plan in line with the Group’s operational plan and targets.
• Lead the FP&A team in maintaining the short, medium and long term financial plans for the Group.
• To continue to develop reporting processes and tools to ensure that they adhere to best practice and meet the needs of stakeholders.

CFAB supports children on the move between the UK and other countries and children who are separated from their family in another country. We are looking for a highly motivated, organised individual with excellent attention to detail who has excellent written and communication skills and is positive, proactive, and eager to learn. You will be working in a small team so a hands-on, solution focused approach is a must.

You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with CFAB’s financial processes and procedures to ensure accurate preparation, processing, and maintenance of financial records. 

You will also be responsible for HR administration.

Key responsibilities:

Finance

· Code and process purchase invoices, staff expenses and obtain authorisation of expenditure as per financial procedures manual.

· Save copies of the Approval Max pdf’s in the Purchase folder.

· Prepare sales invoices to customers on the receipt of instruction from the social work team and email copy of invoice to customers.

· Liaise with the social work team to ensure sales invoice requests are generated for all Opportunities raised in Salesforce.

· Update Salesforce to reflect processed sales invoices.

· Maintain records of sales and purchase invoices in accordance with CFAB’s policies and procedures

· Banking of cheques received.

· Perform credit control duties according to the financial procedures manual.

· Handle and process all petty cash claims in accordance with CFAB policy, and ensure these are correctly authorised and reconcile the petty cash tin monthly.

· Maintain the files of supplier contracts including assisting the Finance Manager to review contracts periodically.

· Maintain the Local Authority Finance contacts spreadsheet.

· Assist the Finance Manager with the maintenance of the charity asset register.

· Assisting the Finance Manager to ensure suppliers and expenses are paid on time.

· Assist the Finance Manager with monthly reconciliations (e.g. ensure that all oncosts from ISW’s are recharged to Local Authorities accordingly).

· Be the key contact for any finance queries.

· Provision of management information and reports as required.

· Any other duties as required in support of the role.

Human Resources

• Assisting the FHR Manager with HR administration support, including recruitment administration, Data Protection, maintaining legally compliant and up to date HR files etc.
• Arranging recruitment interviews.
• Sending out welcome emails to new starters.
• Assisting with organising training including group training sessions.
• Assisting with staff surveys and organising social events.

Other duties commensurate with the role as required by CFAB.

· Familiarity with Salesforce.
