About you:

We’re looking for an experienced events fundraiser or someone with substantial experience in a comparable transferable field, with experience in project management and the end-to-end development and delivery of events.

You’ll be a confident communicator with strong marketing experience and focused on exceptional supporter experience whilst being accomplished at building great relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Combined with excellent organisation and time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities whilst keeping to deadlines, you’ll bring your knowledge, creativity and new ideas to help continue to shape the future of our Bespoke Events team.

You will be adept at using data and insight to identify potential areas of growth and be a proactive self-starter, responsible for the end-to-end development and delivery of the events you manage and be comfortable analysing performance and making recommendations for change where necessary.

We are seeking a Fundraising Coordinator (Individual Giving) to join our small but dynamic Fundraising team.

The role requires excellent donor care and stewardship skills. All forms of communication will be required including the proactive use of digital channels such as the website and social media platforms.

The Individual Giving Fundraiser will play a vital role in increasing income from our existing supporters. You will support donor acquisition as well as taking the lead on retention of our supporters across multiple channels including cash appeals, regular giving, lottery and in celebration giving. Doorstep Library is a community-focused literacy charity dedicated to bringing the magic of books and the joy of reading directly into the homes of children who need our support. We are looking for an experienced fundraiser to head up our fundraising and marketing teams.

With one in four 11-year-olds leaving primary school unable to read or write properly, we recruit and train home and online reading volunteers to go into disadvantaged areas of London to help introduce young children (aged 0-11 years) to the pleasure and benefits of reading.

JOB PURPOSE

· Strategic responsibility for fundraising, including partnership development and maintaining the charity’s strong relationships with our wide range of funding partners;

· Strategic responsibility for marketing, to increase the charity’s profile and increase engagement;

· To work closely with the SMT and actively contribute to the overall strategy and direction of the charity;

· To manage and build upon the income streams for the charity;

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Head of Fundraising to report to the Chief Executive Officer. The successful candidate will sit on the Senior Management Team, working closely with the CEO, Head of Operations and Head of Delivery and Engagement.

You will have substantial, proven experience of working in fundraising and of developing and sustaining partnerships, ideally in the third sector, and of how to build financial sustainability. You will be a highly organised people-person and will be responsible for line managing two Fundraising and Marketing Officers.

You will bring excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire others about our work.  With outstanding interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to forge new relationships and you will thrive on enhancing our current partnerships and identifying and creating new ones.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Development and delivery of the charity’s fundraising strategy

· To work closely with the CEO and trustee board to lead on the development, planning and delivery the Doorstep Library’s fundraising strategy, with further development of a longer-term strategy;

· To manage and build upon the income streams for the charity;

· To take a lead on application bids, including managing, monitoring and evaluating all funding applications;

· To work closely with the SMT and actively contribute to the overall strategy and direction of the charity;

Grow, develop and sustain our partnerships and income streams

· To lead, deliver and grow our existing relationships with all of our funding partners; foundations, corporates, independent schools and individual donors to raise circa £850K pa;

· To identify new potential partners, working closely with the CEO and board of trustees to develop these partnerships;

· To establish a corporate supporters programme and individual giving campaigns, plus develop effective stewardship systems;

· To have responsibility for retaining and engaging the charity’s supporters, this includes providing formal reports and updates on the work of the charity;

· Working with the Fundraising and Marketing Officers to effectively communicate the impact of our work to internal and external stakeholders;

Communications

· Work with the Marketing Officer to implement improvements to our digital presence, including website optimization, social media strategy, and online advertising campaigns;

· Research and analyse sector news/ developments; 

· Oversee the creation of the annual report and impact report;

· Create and maintain a stock of case studies/ success stories and photos; 

· Monitor and report on the effectiveness of fundraising strategies and campaigns; 

Line Management

· To have direct line management responsibility for the Fundraising and Marketing Officers;

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Criteria

1.  A proven track record of delivery results in fundraising and/or partnership management

2.  Knowledge of successful fundraising from a variety of sources, including at least two of corporates, major donors, individual giving, local authorities and trusts & foundations

3.  Proven experience in securing five figure gifts, managing the donor cycle from initial stages through to stewardship

Arts Emergency, a mentoring charity and support network aiming to address the inequalities in the creative and cultural sectors, is looking for an experienced and motivated fundraiser to provide leadership and management for fundraising activities. 

Since 2013, Arts Emergency has been providing 16-25 year olds in London, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and beyond with a trained mentor working in their field of interest. Mentors help Young Talent set goals, explore their passions and make decisions about higher education, training and careers.  After they complete a year of mentoring, Young Talent can continue to access opportunities, advice, resources and paid work from the Arts Emergency Network until they turn 26. Aid to the Church in Need is a Catholic charity, supporting persecuted and suffering Christians around the world.

Working alongside the existing Community Fundraiser in London, this role will engage with the Dioceses in Westminster, Brentford & East Anglia to establish and strengthen links to individual bishops and diocesan communications staff. • Lead on the development and delivery of our 50th anniversary celebrations in 2025.

Database and process management
• Work with the Head of Fundraising to ensure all recording, banking and stewardship processes are up to date and working across the fundraising team, wider charity (finance, data and marketing and communications) and in accordance with current laws and regulations.
• Record all community and trade income and thank community donors and supporters as per the agreed process.
• Record supporter and event/product specific information.
• Work with the Head of Fundraising to produce regular feedback reports and analysis on specific community products and overall revenue.

Wider fundraising
• Support company and corporate partnerships that utilise community and trade fundraising.
• Work with the Head of Fundraising to develop merchandise and trade income opportunities.
• Manage merchandise supplier relationships and internal and external stock levels.

Working across the organisation
• Work with the Fundraising Team and wider organisation to develop an engaging and rewarding volunteering strategy across the charity.
• Manage the organisation’s close collaboration with the British Transplant Games.
• Work with the Marketing and Communications Team to identify key supporters to develop and nurture, including those who might join our major giving programme.
• Work across teams to raise the profile of the charity and its fundraising activities.

Beat is the UK’s eating disorder charity. We are looking a new Fundraising Administration Officer to support our passionate and ambitious team. 

You will provide administrative support to the marketing and income generation team to help us raise the vital funds to help more people than ever before.

We are an ambitious Hospital charity with an exciting opportunity to join us on our team as a Fundraising Assistant, initially on a three month contract with potential to extend. 

We currently raise between £1-2m a year for East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust which has four sites local to Hertfordshire, including the Lister Hospital (Stevenage) and Mount Vernon Cancer Centre (North London). About you

Ideally you will already have experience in an administration or customer service role and looking to start a career in fundraising. You will be looking for 20-37.5 hours a week and can work flexibly including some evenings and weekends to support at fundraising events. 

Main duties of the job

• Provide support to the department on a range of administrative tasks including, dealing with enquiries (postal, telephone, email, face to face), opening and sorting post.
• Work to build excellent relationships with donors to provide a high standard of customer care.
• Process one-off and regular donations ensuring procedures are followed and information is recorded correctly onto the database and thank you letters are sent.
• Work with cancer centre volunteers to support the team with administration tasks.
• To undertake specific fundraising projects and attend events as necessary or as required to support the department’s fundraising.
• To assist the fundraisers with administration of staff lottery, raffles and prize led promotion and fundraising as required.
• Support all fundraising activity and represent the charity at internal and external events.
• Manage ‘Gift in Kind’ donations and our ‘Gift in Kind’ Campaigns.
