You will be responsible for getting out into the local communities of Aberdeenshire and Dundee, raising awareness and engaging your supporters in their fundraising. You will grow and develop existing relationships and support as well as creating new community fundraising activity. You will be working alongside an amazing Fundraising and Communications team covering the whole of Scotland. You will manage a fantastic group of existing CHAS volunteers and grow your volunteer networks.

Key Responsibilities

• Relationship management of existing and new community fundraising supporters and volunteers
• Create new, cost-effective, community-based fundraising activities within a specific geographic area, ensuring contacts are established and maintained
• In line with the community fundraising strategy, take the lead on a specific income stream, developing materials and fundraising activities
• Provide market-intelligence and research on the community fundraising function, enabling future planning of activities within CHAS
• Regularly present complex fundraising information to groups, including existing and potential supporters
• Delegate work to volunteers, ensuring appropriate support mechanisms are in place and that individual skills are utilised appropriately

In order to successfully drive fundraising and support for CHAS in your area, you will work co-operatively with colleagues, form meaningful relationships with others, demonstrate initiative, act with integrity and be accountable for your actions and decisions. You will also have:

• Experience of growing external financial support by developing new contacts and networks
• Experience of events and/or project management and the processes involved in a delivering a successful event and/or project
• Advanced level of communication and presentation skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and related software applications
• Highly developed inter-personal skills

Overview of Role

CAT’s Fundraising Team is responsible for raising vital funds for CAT’s core and project work from individuals, trusts and foundations, statutory sources, groups and organisations. This is essential for CAT to fulfil its charitable mission – to inform, inspire and enable people to take action for a sustainable future. The post-holder will play an essential role within this team.

To successfully raise funds from trusts and foundations, the postholder will work closely with and be supported by other members of the team including the Fundraising Team Manager, the Fundraising Manager for Major Donors & Legacies and the Head of Strategic Funding and Programmes. Main Responsibilities

Trust and foundations:

The role:

Personal Specification:

You don't have to have worked in the voluntary youth sector previously. Our aim is to find a suitable candidate that can meet the selection criteria below. This can be from a past/current income generation/bid writer role, or a role with transferable skills.

More importantly we are looking for someone with genuine passion for working for a youth charity. Someone who can join our fundraising team and make a big impression, helping us to achieve our income generation goals.

We want to hire an enthusiastic person who can maintain positive working relationships with various supporters, delivery partners and all stakeholders.

Essential Criteria:

• Proven experience of bid writing or other similar income generation work with demonstrable transferable skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken with the ability to present confidently.
• Ability to self-manage, work independently to targets but also join up your work with the rest of the fundraising team.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and workstreams with a “can do” attitude in order to produce positive results.
• Experience and/or understanding of producing impact reports and reporting to various audiences, ideally funders.

The Fundraising Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the Income and Partnerships Development team. • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, fundraising, business administration, or a related field. 

Candidates without a degree will be considered if they have at least 2 years relevant and relatable work experience in a similar role.

We now seek to appoint a new Head of Philanthropy as a key member of the Development Team. Working closely with the Director of Development, President and wider Fellowship, the Head of Philanthropy will manage major gift prospect activity and raise funds to support the strategic objectives of the College. The Head of Philanthropy will manage and develop a portfolio of relationships and undertake prospect and donor visits, to ask alumnae and others for philanthropic support the College. Reporting directly to the Director of Development, the Head of Philanthropy will be responsible for managing the Philanthropy Officer.

Last year alone, 14,000 professionals received our training. The Community Fundraiser plays a vital role in fostering and expanding our network of individual givers and community fundraisers. The position is responsible for:

• Developing and managing relationships with our supporters.
• Signing SafeLives up to a programme of fundraising events.
• Maintaining and growing our supporter base.
• Responding to fundraising opportunities from individuals and corporates.

We will occasionally require you to support with organising events for our high-net-worth individuals. The role is managed by our Trusts and Grants Manager. It was a new role in 2022 and the successful candidate will build on the foundations that have been set over the last year and a half.

The ideal candidate will bring creativity and proactivity to the role – thinking outside the box and finding new ways to grow our supporter base and market our opportunities. You will be the perfect balance of engaging and motivational and a rigorous planning coordinator with exceptional attention to detail. You will help us reach new supporters, through events and fundraising, and communicate our key messages in a way that encourages people to support our work.

An essential part of our Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Growth is responsible for managing our funding and partnership team, driving revenue growth, and expanding our network of supporters and collaborators.

Objectives

•To create and support opportunities to enable the growth of the Foundation through strategic planning and partnership development

•To oversee and manage the Partnerships and Funding teams within the Growth department

•To achieve the financial targets and outcomes within the Growth department, whilst contributing to the overall strategic direction and decision making of the charity.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Revenue diversification: Explore new programme opportunities and revenue streams to increase the sustainability of the charity

Innovation: Working with delivery and infrastructure departments, support the implementation of new growth initiatives

Team management: Support the Relationship Manager and the development of new partnerships / sponsorship for the Foundation, The Nest and Run Norwich

Securing funding: Support the Funding Manager and the development of funding applications, donations and showcasing our impact

Budget management: Achieve growth budgets and perform monthly income checks with the finance team

Project management: Play an active role in supporting new project design

Collaboration: To work with and support the Executive team with gaining and developing new opportunities through local authorities, statutory agents and third sector organisations

Home-Start Barnet is seeking an experienced manager to lead its Family Services Team, so we can support more families with young children through their toughest times.

As Head of Family Services, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of Home-Start Barnet's family support services across Barnet, Brent and Harrow, through one-to-one support by volunteers, family support coordinators and groups. You will manage your team to maintain high standards in recruitment, training and supervision of volunteers, overseeing referrals and caseloads and maximising Home-Start’s impact and reach to local families facing difficulties. 

You will work closely with the Chief Executive to develop and evolve Home-Start’s services in response to changing needs, informing the strategy for our family support and the development of specialist provision and training. This is the perfect opportunity to lead a team and make a meaningful difference for local families. Our ideal candidate will:
