We are looking for a Reward Manager for a 6 month fixed term contract. Our client is has multiple locations, mainly Chippenham and West Brom, with flexible Hybrid working arrangements for both.
The Reward Manager will play a key role in developing and delivering a reward & remuneration strategy in line with the people strategy, that enhances the organisation’s ambition to be regarded as an employer of choice and supports the organisation’s future growth and development plans, as well as ensuring the effective application, review and ongoing development of process and policy.
To develop and deliver pay, reward, benefits and performance strategy and policy which meets the ongoing and future organisational needs, in relation to the pay and reward agenda.
The Reward function is responsible for developing and maintaining pay and benefit frameworks to ensure competitiveness and equity, as well as the design and implementation of performance frameworks that encourage retention and reward high performance.
- Lead, support and deliver the design and development of the Reward & Remuneration strategy, ensuring that policy and practice is aligned to the business and people strategies
- Create a total Reward approach, combining a range of different pay and benefits offerings into a flexible framework which meets the diverse needs of employees
- Lead on the implementation of new and existing Reward programmes and initiatives, providing advice and direction to senior management and the People team
- Lead all aspects of Reward management and the annual Reward cycle, including annual salary review and organisational bonus schemes
- Responsible for managing key external partner relationships at a senior level, continually driving enhanced value from all contracts and ensuring quality service is delivered to the organisation
- Act as business expert in all matters relating to compensation and benefits, providing advice to key stakeholders
- Manage and oversee the alignment to organisation design process, encompassing job evaluation, grading structures and job families, and salary & bonus benchmarking
- Design and implement Reward projects, which may include review and changes to compensation structure, benchmarking, market data insight, development of compensation ranges and job evaluation
What we are looking for;
- Experience of influencing at a senior management and board level
- Experience of leading people, and developing key internal and external relationships
- Proven experience of advising at senior levels
- Experience of leading and managing significant reward and performance related projects and delivering successful outcomes
- Significant experience in a reward specialist role, operating with a high degree of autonomy
- Excellent report writing and data presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex matters accurately and clearly
- Experience of effectively communicating reward frameworks to staff and other key stakeholders (such as Senior Leadership Team)
- Ability to work effectively at both the strategic and operational level
- Excellent task leadership and management skills, with the ability to deliver projects to plan, cost and quality
- Demonstrable success of building good relationships and partnerships with key influencers across the organisation
- Ability to develop reward strategies and plans and communicate the benefits and risks options to key stakeholders
- Experience in extracting and analysing data from HR systems, in order to inform decision making and fulfil statutory reporting obligations
- Ability to present data and qualitative and quantitative data and management information clearly and in an insightful way
- Sound numerical skills and attention to detail to be able to compile and check statistical reports
- Strong skill-set in using Excel and other software, to undertake complex performance and reward modelling
- Experience of job evaluation methodology and job families

Role Summary:
Working for the Head of National Business Development, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for securing income-generating corporate partnerships to drive forward engagement across the whole Speakers for Schools proposition.
This role is the engine of growth for the charity: sourcing, engaging, and developing partnerships with employers across the UK. These partnerships will provide opportunities for high-need young people across the UK to access our programmatic interventions while delivering income to support the financial sustainability and growth of the charity.
This crucial role will demand close collaboration and working across all directorates to develop and deliver compelling and successful bids and proposals to potential partners.
This role offers a starting salary of £31362, rising to £33948 after a years successful service.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
Strategic Purpose:
- Developing outreach strategies to secure corporate partnerships in support of the Charity’s aims and goals.
- Meeting income generation targets as determined by the Head of Business Development.
- Responsible for developing and agreeing programmatic design for corporate partners in collaboration with programme and delivery teams.
Engagement:
- Working closely with delivery teams to ensure smooth transition for employer account management.
- Working closely with programme and delivery teams to ensure new partnerships are deliverable.
- Flexibility and a willingness to work innovatively to help with any tasks the team might require support for.
Delivery:
- Holding expertise in how Speakers for Schools programmes and interventions enable and enhance corporate CSR talent pipeline and social mobility.
- Reporting on activity to Head of Business Development.
- Confidently discussing Speakers for Schools and our goals, aims via email communication, virtual meetings, and telephone.
- Represent and work to our values as, fostering a culture of positivity, support, respect, and inclusivity, while taking personal responsibility for their attitude, performance, and development
- Ensure that best practice in safeguarding is enshrined in all activity.
- Ensuring consistent and accurate updating of CRM and ensuring proper data management.
- Adherence to data compliance, standards, guidelines and best practices to ensure our data integrity and consistency.
- Other duties as required, as identified by the Head of Business Development.

Education / Experience / Knowledge
- Experience of business development with a variety of stakeholders and owning, managing and delivering an ambitious commercial target.
- Previous experience working with HR/Recruitment/CSR/Engagement teams is advantageous
- Confident liaising with and managing relationships with stakeholders from all levels
- An understanding of the UK Education System and a familiarity with careers provision within UK schools and colleges would be an advantage
- Sociable and confident, experience of building and maintaining relationships with multiple stakeholders
- Confident in delivering presentations and networking/representing the charity at external events
- Proven capability of working through high volumes of work and delivering on targets across varying objectives within delivery
- Experience planning structured programmes that align with both employer and charity objectives
- Experience in working with technology and data management.
- Proficient use of the Salesforce CRM, to track relationships and ensure proper data management
- Clear and concise communicator, capable of producing written content to a professional quality
- Excels at organising their workload and enjoy driving work forward independently

The Role
You will have specific responsibility for:

Growing HFTF’s impact, leading and overseeing the delivery of HFTF’s delivery projects and programmes and working with staff to ensure delivery targets are met

Effective line management of the Policy & Engagement Officers, leading, supporting, managing and motivating staff,

Supporting the Policy and Engagement team with work as required

Developing and overseeing the monitoring and evaluation and impact measurement for fundraising bids and reports to funders.

Acting as the lead contact for Hope for the Future’s network of partner organisations growing HFTF’s paid partnership work

Ensuring that we are engaging new constituents and that we are working towards reaching and representing all sectors of society.
Other responsibilities

Regularly travel around the country to workshops and meetings and to the head office in Sheffield.

Networking to seek new partners and clients for the purpose of acquiring new training requests and potential collaborative work (paid partnerships)

Representing the organisation at events,conferences, and partnership meetings and in external communications

Continually championing the values, mission and vision of Hope for the Future to strengthen democratic engagement and drive inclusive action on the climate and nature crises.

Maintain an awareness of advances in the climate and nature movement and national/ local politics.

Maintain a strong working knowledge of climate change developments in Parliament, including changes to policy and specific MP involvement in such developments.

Experience in building and maintaining effective partnerships and networks with external organisations.

A strong working knowledge of the UK political system and with national and local political structures and processes
