The Role

As the Legacies Manager, you will assume a pivotal role within our dynamic Partnership and Development team. Key responsibilities of the Legacies Manager include:

• Develop and implement a legacy strategy/plan aligned with the charity's goals to increase/improve outreach to and engagement with legacy supporters and raise legacy income around agreed goals.
• Provide excellent stewardship to all supporters who engage with legacies, working with stakeholders to ensure journeys are insight-led, respond to audience needs, and are well documented and reported upon.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of legacy giving initiatives and regularly report on progress to senior leadership and key stakeholders. Use data and analytics to inform decision-making and continuously improve strategies for maximising legacy support.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the end-to-end process for delivering the legacies plan is designed and documented. This includes solving problems in circumstances where there is minimal guidance available from established practices and precedents within the organisation.
• Work closely with the Head of Relationship Fundraising and other fundraising colleagues to ensure that all fundraising activities are well-coordinated and contribute towards the overall fundraising strategy.
• Identify growth opportunities that foster organisational projects which impact and improve the Legacy programme.
• Develop and execute marketing and promotional campaigns to raise awareness of legacy giving opportunities within the organisation. Utilise various communication channels, including digital platforms, events, and printed Job Description & Person Specification materials, to effectively promote the importance of legacy giving and its impact on the organisation's mission.

About the role 

As Supporter CRM Product Owner, you will play a key role in ensuring that the needs of teams across Fundraising, Policy & Social Change, and Commerce & Enterprise are addressed as part of the ongoing CRM Development. REQUIRED SKILLS

We are looking for candidates with excellent creative writing skills and experience in creating content for a wide range of audiences, making complex articles interesting and accessible to all. You will have an excellent news sense and the ability to generate a hook for a story, with proven ability in securing media coverage. Strong organisational skills and being able to plan ahead are key to this role, along with experience of working to tight deadlines.

As Product Manager (Supporter Experience), you will make sure those who make false claims in public can’t get away with it. Every day our team of fact checkers and campaigners find, check and challenge false claims. We identify the reasons for bad information, so we can campaign to change the systems that enable it. Your job will be to raise awareness of, and build support for, our cause through managing our supporter experience on our digital platforms.

Job Definition

The Product Manager (Supporter Experience) is responsible for planning the digital strategy and executing the plan to deliver online content and campaigns that increase awareness of our work and drive the public to take action and donate to our cause. 

You will manage multiple digital products and platforms, implementing data-driven improvements to ensure optimum usability and accessibility. Responsible for understanding and developing the user journey across digital touchpoints - as diverse as online advertising, campaigns and virtual events - you will advise on how best to improve the user experience and manage our content. 

You will manage a multi disciplinary team of people who deliver our CRM, website, email campaigns, audience research and community initiatives. 

Outcomes

In the first 6 months you’ll have the opportunity to coordinate the delivery of at least 3 campaigns that are designed to end deceptive campaign practices by political parties, improve regulation of political advertising and encourage MPs and Ministers to correct the record when they make a wrong or misleading claim. You’ll have access to new audience research data, and will use that to inform the work we do.

You’ll bring together a team of multi disciplinary experts to deliver on our campaigning aims. You’ll work with them to develop our website, CRM and mailing list to have the greatest impact, ensuring we have the right data to make good decisions.

You’ll build relationships with teams across Full Fact helping others to meet their aims, particularly supporting fundraising to deliver income-generating online communications.

• Collaborate with the Social Media Manager and Editorial team in the development of a content strategy that drives engagement and high-quality growth. 

• Work closely with the rest of the team to create compelling, engaging and action-oriented copy across a range of digital communications.

• Identify digital suppliers (e.g. PPC and Paid Social campaigns) which can help us build campaigns targeting different audience segments. Own the relationship and workflow to ensure they have all the materials they need to succeed and hold them to account based on agreed targets.

• Assist the team with website updates using our CMS (Django) as well as contributing to larger website projects.

• Work with direct reports to set up landing pages and data capture forms, build our mailing list, manage multiple email campaigns and perform thorough QA and testing on website, email and CRM builds.

• Oversee building and testing of user journeys to ensure workflows are correctly set up across platforms, and identify any areas for improvements.

• Advise and make recommendations on product roadmaps based on learnings from data analysis, audience research, knowledge of trends and best practice and experience of campaign delivery.

Data management and analysis

• Assist the team in designing user research and analysing audience data to ensure our decisions are informed by an understanding of our existing and potential supporters.

• Understand the organisational needs for data to inform how we acquire and retain supporters. 

• Lead projects to integrate our Salesforce CRM with any new additions to the website (e.g. lead generation forms). 

• Work with the CRM Administrator to ensure the data is available, clean and accurate, and to prioritise and action internal CRM requests for training, issues and new functionality.

• Deliver monthly, quarterly and campaign-specific performance reports across all channels, highlighting achievements, insights and lessons learnt, informing a plan to further drive performance and ROI improvement.

The process starts off with an anonymised covering letter and CV. This will be read by at least two people to produce a shortlist for interview.

The first round interviews will be a phone (not video) interview, lasting no more than half an hour, at a time that’s convenient for you. We will record it so at least two people can review each interview to decide who we invite back for the second round. The recordings will be deleted at the end of the process.

The second round will include a structured interview and a timed task which assumes no prior knowledge. The task can be completed prior to the interview, at a time that most suits you.

Part 1: Role Purpose:

We are seeking an outstanding Programmes Officer for an exciting opportunity to support Street Child’s programme portfolio in Liberia and Sierra Leone. This role will cut across Street Child’s programming in the region, including a specific focus on the $12.8m Education for Every Child Today (EFECT) Project which aims to enrol 96,000 out of school children in school across West Africa over a 4-year period.

The key objectives of this role are to work closely with Street Child’s federal partners to support the effective implementation of adaptive programming, and to support accurate and timely donor reporting across a range of institutional, trust & foundations, and corporate donors. The ideal candidate will have strong written and excel skills, with experience of MEAL and financial management processes. The role will engage regular, detailed interaction with Street Child’s UK and European fundraising community.

The role holder will work in close collaboration with Street Child’s regional Head of Programmes, based in Freetown, as well as partner Programmes, MEAL and Finance teams to coordinate timely and quality implementation and reporting across the programmes portfolio.

Based in Monrovia, whilst serving a regional brief, the role-holder will be expected to be especially involved in supporting the programmes, and wider life, of Street Child of Liberia. This aspect of the role in particular demands a confident, ‘self-sufficient’ and motivated personality – who is excited by the opportunity and attendant career potential, as opposed to being overawed by the inevitable, multi-dimensional challenges.

Part 2: Key Responsibilities:

Reporting & Programme Funding Engagement – 35%

• Review narrative and financial quarterly reporting from country teams and provide feedback.
• Lead on the consolidation of narrative reporting (low-mid value donors) for a variety of donors within the portfolio.
• Ensure regular information flow to Street Child communications and fundraising teams, inclusive of collection and drafting of case studies and photos.
• Supporting income-generation opportunities - potentially including supporting donor visits, in-country donor engagement and broad-based support to the group’s global programme-funding efforts for both Liberia and Sierra Leone.

Programme & MEAL Management – 35%

• Work in collaboration with national partner and cross-country implementation teams across Liberia and Sierra Leone to ensure quality and timely implementation of project activities.
• Work alongside social, enterprise and education teams across both countries to support a joined-up approach to project implementation and MEAL, ensuring relevant data are collected with due care and utilised for project planning, reporting and learning.
• Provide strong support to EFECT programme staff and partners in Liberia & Sierra Leone in programme and MEAL department.
• Alongside colleagues provide training, guidance and advice to partner delivery staff to ensure effective and accurate use of programme documents and tools.
• In liaison with Safeguarding Focal Points monitor safeguarding policies ensuring adequate implementation of policies and procedures, and support to close feedback loops with partners & project participants.
• Provide capacity strengthening to Street Child Colleagues where possible.

Financial Support – 25%

• Support the country teams in compiling requisitions in line with programme forecasts and budgets.
• Support on the collation of financial reporting requirements for low-mid value donors.
• Support on tracking of donors & match funding within the EFECT programme.

Other – 5%

• Coordinating staff, stakeholders and donor visits.

The Middlesbrough Programme on Gendered Poverty is an exciting collaborative programme bringing together Buttle UK, the Smallwood Trust and Turn2us to test whether a co-produced & collaborative approach to grant-making can transform the lives of women and their children.

The programme aims to:

• Shift power to people worst impacted by gendered poverty and work to end gendered poverty 
• Develop the programme using co-production techniques so that the voices and experiences of the women and their children, who face issues created by gendered poverty, inform and shape the programme 
• Deliver the programme with and to communities of the most marginalised women and their children 
• Apply an evidence-based approach to our work and programme design

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Safeguarding professional with a strong interest in protecting adults at risk and children from within the wider Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Community?

Based within our Helpline Services team, you’ll have responsibility for:

• responding to concerns reported by staff and volunteers

• dealing with safeguarding issues (as they arise) and liaising with statutory services as needed
• giving advice and support to colleagues and our volunteers in relation to safeguarding and disclosure checking

You’ll have experience of working in a safeguarding customer-facing environment within the Charity or Public Service sectors. You’ll have proficient administrative and IT skills with the ability to work accurately and consistently. You’ll ideally have had experience in supporting vulnerable people in person, over the phone and/or online. 

An understanding of safeguarding within the charity or public service sectors is essential. 

A satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Check without barring list check will need to be obtained to undertake this role.
