About the Role
This exciting and varied role will kick-start Bite Back's work in Scotland. Please note this is a remote role but the postholder must be based in Scotland. Suiting a self-starter, this new role will lead our schools and local authority programme work in Scotland, whilst also seeking opportunities for young people to influence national food system policy in Scotland.
Responsibilities
The Senior Programmes & Policy Manager is responsible for:
Programme Development and Delivery
● Launching our two popular, fully funded, social action programmes in Scotland: Bite Back in Schools and Shape Your Streets; working with and visiting schools and local authorities across Scotland
● Supporting school pupils and communities to drive improvements to their local food environments and school food environments
● Helping facilitate youth-led events, workshops, and campaigns focused on food system change
● Working with our Scottish partners and building strong working relationships with participating schools, local authorities and other stakeholders
● Supporting with the monitoring, reporting and evaluation of these two programmes Youth Engagement and Voice
● Seeking out meaningful opportunities for young people to engage with and influence decision-makers in Scotland
● Ensuring youth voice is embedded across all programmes and policy work
Policy and Advocacy
● Actively seeking out opportunities to champion Scottish policy developments in health, education, and food systems
● Working closely with other organisations via established coalitions and more informal coordination around key issues, working collaboratively with values-aligned organisations to achieve our goals
● Developing briefings, consultation responses, and policy proposals, ensuring they are evidence-based and amplify youth perspectives
● Translating young people’s insights into campaign messaging for policymakers and distil policy detail into key points for young people to engage with and campaign on
● Working with the Senior Public Affairs Manager to conduct stakeholder mapping and build a network of supportive Scottish MPs and MSPs
● Ensuring the Bite Back staff team is kept up to date on the Scottish policy and public affairs context

About the role
We have just finalised an exciting new three year strategy to drive impact at scale for victim-survivors. We are now looking for an exceptional candidate to lead some of our financial services relationships and consultancy work and support SEA in its mission to raise awareness of economic abuse and transform responses to it within the financial services sector.

The primary set of data you will be managing is the SHOAL 1,000 Fishes Database. This is a database of more than 2,000 fish species that will require constant updates on their conservation status from experts and partners.
You will be a key person in collaborating with potentially hundreds of partners across the world to ensure that our database of priority species adequately reflects the action on the ground for each species.

The team and role overview
The HR & Operations function is led by the HR & Operations Manager and includes two Coordinators and one Operations Officer. Together, the team is responsible for delivering effective people management processes, operational support, and internal systems that enable the organisation to function smoothly across both UK and international offices.

Purpose of the post
The Engagement and Involvement Lead will engage with young people, families, schools and other interest-holders in the process of designing, delivering and ensuring the best outputs from the Adolescent Health Study, and is critical for the success of the project. We are at the early stages of laying the foundations for this and in this new role we are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to co-ordinate and lead AHS’s cross-UK participant and public involvement and engagement activities.
This is a role that requires high levels of confidence, autonomy, enthusiasm and skill. The postholder will be responsible for delivering the project’s new Engagement and Involvement Strategy, including: establishing and coordinating a Young Persons’ Advisory Group for AHS; developing and delivering AHS public engagement and involvement activities; outsourcing and supervising engagement and involvement activities that are better provided by external partners; scoping and advising on which routes for involvement and engagement activities are best suited to different tasks.

Introduction
Reporting into the Head of Planning & Delivery, this role is the central link between our reactive and planned reactive teams and the rest of the organisation, in particular Country Comms, Policy & Advocacy, and Campaign & Mobilisation teams. It is responsible for making sure all our reactive and planned-reactive comms are managed and delivered across appropriate owned and earned channels.? Strategic Communications colleagues, Media and PR teams, Delivery Managers, key stakeholders across the organisation, and our Content & Creative teams will be your day to day partners.
This role needs to be collaborative, resilient and able to adapt quickly to new information and shifting priorities, understanding when decisions are needed and making sure the right people are involved. This role is required to support the work of the Campaign & Mobilisation team, by delivering reactive and planned reactive one-off emails and/or website updates. This means you will need to be comfortable switching between different ways of working (agile and waterfall) and be able to prioritise your own workload effectively. You will be taking briefs from Activity Owners and managing the delivery work, working closely with our Traffic Management and Content & Creative teams.
This role is expected to be a key part of our planning cycle, making sure our activities across channels are coordinated and aligned. Role specific tasks include:

As a Senior Data Insights Manager you will be responsible for developing and implementing data analysis strategies in collaboration with our Income, Innovation and Engagement directorate and supporting the delivery of operational data reporting, providing analysis and insight to inform strategic decision-making.
You will be responsible for:
- Driving decision making through insights on several strategic projects.
- Developing an insight led decision making culture and structure.
- Leading the development of best practices techniques for data analysis, visualization, and storytelling.
- Working closely with senior stakeholders to understand business requests and translating them into analytical solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance data capabilities within the business.
- Line managing and leading a team of 2 data analysts
Key Criteria:
- Established experience in a senior/lead analyst role with a solid track record of understanding of the production and role of data analysis in a business environment.
- Significant and demonstrable experience of implementing best practice analytics techniques and leading initiatives to enhance datasets, thereby improving insight capabilities.
- Experience of using insights to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Significant and demonstrable experience of model building.
- Strong communication and storytelling kills, with the communicate across a range of stakeholders.
- Excellent SQL, Power BI skills and understanding of requirements of compliance in a regulated environment.
- Line management experience would be an advantage.

Based: This role is predominantly home-based and can be based anywhere within the UK. You will be expected to work from our modern open plan offices in Embassy Gardens occasionally.
