At our North West London Home, we are recruiting a Head of Kennels who will share our compassion and commitment for animal welfare to provide front line leadership to our team of Kennel and Animal Care staff and volunteers. We care for up to fifteen dogs on site, in addition to dogs placed into foster homes. Our Head of Kennels is responsible for managing the day-to-day smooth running of our kennels and maintaining the wellbeing of all dogs in our care, so that their individual physical and psychological needs are catered for adequately, and in line with our standards and ethics.
This is a high profile and hugely important role for Mayhew as our Head of Kennels oversees each dog's journey through Mayhew from in-take to assessment and then to rehoming. Working with staff and volunteers across the Home, foster carers, adopters, other charities and rescues and members of the public, our Head of Kennels is instrumental in ensuring that our dogs have all they need - from feeding, exercising, cleaning, and socialising to finding their perfect forever home. The Head of South England & Wales is responsible for leading our vision to end the need for food banks in South England & Wales. Mayhew is a unique organisation. Our passionate and diverse team of around 80 staff and 150 volunteers provides expert veterinary care, rescue and rehoming services, programmes in the community, and guidance and support to improve the lives of dogs and cats in need, in London and abroad. Currently the need for our services is greater than ever so we are looking to recruit an Head RVN with an interest in shelter and charity medicine.
We have had a community vet clinic on site at our historic Northwest London shelter since 1925. For nearly 100 years, our London clinic has delivered many tens of thousands of treatments to dogs and cats. Through our modern, well equipped veterinary clinic we provide a range of preventative veterinary treatments free of charge, and without judgment, to those who are unable to afford it. We also carry out a wide range of surgeries and treatments in order to prepare the Mayhew animals in our care for rehoming.

Our Clinic operates 7-days per week and open to the public Monday to Saturday. Our Head RVN works 35 hours per week, 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. From time to time to we require extra cover on weekends and bank holidays, and out of office hours in the event of an emergency. A share of the extremely quiet, on-call rota is required, this averages about five nights a month which is paid as overtime,

Purpose of the Job
To strategically lead and manage our existing CYP services that range from being both clinical and non clinical (Mental Health Support Teams in Schools, Circle crisis prevention café for children and young people, Whole School Approach, Be Kind to Your Mind). As Project Support Officer you will support the Northern Area Manager and Regional Manager with volunteer recruitment, documentation of training (such as DBS, references, Food Safety Level 2, First Aid), giving our volunteers a fantastic experience, guest outreach and giving extra support to our Yorkshire & The Humber projects to aid development and growth within the region.
Our projects are run by volunteers and supported by Regional Managers, through recruitment and training of volunteers. Your role will be to support the Regional Manager so that they can manage more projects, along with supporting the Regional Manager with expansion plans within their areas. Part 1: Job Profile
a) Main purpose of job
The post will be responsible for identifying and developing new and existing relationships with corporate partners and prospects to fundraise and generate income to assist the team in reaching agreed income targets.
b) Work relationships
The post holder will work closely with and report to the Lead Corporate Engagement Manager and will also work closely with the following:
• Existing Corporate Relationship Managers regarding managing corporate partners and supporting new business proposals.
• Head of Philanthropy and Partnership and the Major Giving Manager to support and maximise philanthropy and corporate trust opportunities.
• Challenge Events Team to deliver and promote a programme of activities that are tailored to the company’s fundraising targets and objectives
• Heads of Care and Lead Nurses regarding hospice visits, and in hospice activities to make sure they are fully up to date on all aspects of our Care services in order to communicate effectively with partners, and when organising volunteer opportunities at the hospices.
