Job description

We are looking for a talented and experienced Fundraiser to join the team at Cancer Research Wales to contribute to the development and delivery of a cost-effective Community-led Fundraising strategy across Wales.

In what is a new role, the Regional Fundraiser will be responsible for the recruitment and stewardship of supporters who want to fundraise at community level by offering engagement opportunities across multiple income streams including; Community fundraising, corporate fundraising, events and campaigns whilst delivering excellent supporter care.

Working in liaison with the National Fundraising Manager, the Regional Fundraiser will help to support the development and delivery of a new community fundraising plan which will increase our engagement with new and existing audiences to grow our community income across Wales.

The priorities for this role will include the recruitment and stewardship of supporters who want to fundraise at community level by offering engagement opportunities across multiple income streams including community fundraising, corporate fundraising, events and campaigns whilst delivering excellent supporter care. There will also be a real focus on establishing and driving forward a new volunteer-led fundraising programme, to recruit and engage people to volunteer on behalf of the charity in their communities to raise awareness of CRW and promote appropriate fundraising opportunities.

This role is well supported for success building on existing work and is an exciting opportunity to draw on a shared fundraising knowledge within a very collaborative and supportive team. In turn you will have the opportunity to shape and directly own the creation of products and campaigns and to develop your professional experience.

This is a fantastic opportunity to capture the positive momentum building across the organisation as we implement our transformation. The ideal candidate will have proven experience of working in a fundraising environment and will be able to demonstrate success in growing income across a range of different income streams, as well as maximising supporter engagement from new and existing donors.

If you are ambitious, innovative, and self-motivated and would like to work for a forward-thinking charity committed to transforming cancer outcomes in Wales through world-class research, then we’d love to hear from you!
