Clinical Risk Manager

Full-time at 35 hours

2 year Fixed term contract

Salary: £35,000 - £42,000

Location: Blend of homeworking, office and travelling to partner networks

GamCare is the leading national provider of information, advice, support and free treatment for the prevention and treatment of problem gambling. Our expert services are confidential and non-judgemental.

GamCare work across England, Scotland and Wales and delivers services regionally in collaboration with local Partners to raise awareness and provide services to those affected by gambling -related harms and their families.

Our treatment services provide face-to-face, online, telephone, individual and group-based treatment within a stepped Model of Care that is strengths based and focused on reducing risks.

GamCare has embarked on a programme of development over the last three years which has expanded the services we offer to women, young people and concerned others. We continue with our ambition to increase awareness of wider professionals in relation to gambling risks and safer gambling standards.

It is therefore an exciting time to join a vibrant and motivated team to continue these developments. GamCare are currently looking for a Clinical Risk Manager to work within our Clinical Directorate. This role will involve leading on developing and implementing the GamCare Suicide Prevention Strategy, as well as establishing, monitoring, and reviewing the GamCare Incident Reporting system, Incident Investigations, and Clinical Auditing processes.  

This post holder will be central to supporting service developments, best practice, and training/development initiatives as informed by learning from serious incidents, in conjunction with clinical and partner network teams.

We are looking for a proactive leader, with a strong sense of initiative, an excellent team working approach and an exceptional communicator. You will be able to demonstrate a high level of organisational, analytical and IT skills, and have relevant management experience.

A good understanding of the DATIX system and Serious Incident investigations processes will be an advantage. Knowledge of National guidance is essential.
