Job Purpose

ADD is looking for a Head of Transformative Partnerships and Influencing to lead on nurturing and expanding relationships with institutional funders and partners so that more resources and opportunities can flow to disability justice movements in Africa and Asia.

This is a new role that will lead both our institutional fundraising and influencing work. This role will be responsible for raising significant funds from a range of institutional funders. This role will also lead on the development of a new influencing strategy to inspire funders and organisations in the disability and development sector, to increase funding for disability justice and to fund organisations led by people with disabilities directly.

Finally, this role will also ensure excellent stewardship of our existing strategic investments and partnerships.

Part 1: Role Purpose:

We are seeking an outstanding Programmes Officer for an exciting opportunity to support Street Child’s programme portfolio in Liberia and Sierra Leone. This role will cut across Street Child’s programming in the region, including a specific focus on the $12.8m Education for Every Child Today (EFECT) Project which aims to enrol 96,000 out of school children in school across West Africa over a 4-year period.

The key objectives of this role are to work closely with Street Child’s federal partners to support the effective implementation of adaptive programming, and to support accurate and timely donor reporting across a range of institutional, trust & foundations, and corporate donors. The ideal candidate will have strong written and excel skills, with experience of MEAL and financial management processes. The role will engage regular, detailed interaction with Street Child’s UK and European fundraising community.

The role holder will work in close collaboration with Street Child’s regional Head of Programmes, based in Freetown, as well as partner Programmes, MEAL and Finance teams to coordinate timely and quality implementation and reporting across the programmes portfolio.

Based in Monrovia, whilst serving a regional brief, the role-holder will be expected to be especially involved in supporting the programmes, and wider life, of Street Child of Liberia. This aspect of the role in particular demands a confident, ‘self-sufficient’ and motivated personality – who is excited by the opportunity and attendant career potential, as opposed to being overawed by the inevitable, multi-dimensional challenges.

Part 2: Key Responsibilities:

Reporting & Programme Funding Engagement – 35%

• Review narrative and financial quarterly reporting from country teams and provide feedback.
• Lead on the consolidation of narrative reporting (low-mid value donors) for a variety of donors within the portfolio.

Our PR & Media Manager is crucial to our plans to scale up our media coverage as we enter the final years of our campaign to end bear bile farming in Vietnam. As part of the Comms team, you will work closely with colleagues in our Programmes and Fundraising teams to amplify their work through public relations, celebrity support and media activity. Your key areas of responsibility will include press office management, preparing PR & Media plans for each of our key markets, preparing pitches, media releases and content for media outreach and building a library of case studies to showcase our work. Your other key area of responsibility is supporting our highly successful celebrity liaison to raise Animals Asia’s profile through earned, owned and shared digital platforms, print and broadcast media. You will possess the knowledge, skills, and creativity to help us raise awareness of Animals Asia and what we stand for, helping us grow our supporter base and meet our brand goals. You will be managed and supported by our Global Head of PR and Media.

Key duties:

1. Responding to media enquiries, drafting media releases, undertaking proactive pitch development, outreach to journalists, maintaining our database of media contacts and other general press office management.

Are you a senior fundraiser who wants to focus on Principal Gifts?  Or perhaps you are a major gifts fundraiser who is ready for a leadership role?

We are recruiting our new Associate Director of Principal Giving to lead our Principal Gifts programme – a programme of ambition and almost endless potential.

As Associate Director of Principal Giving, you will work at the most senior levels with individuals, companies, and trusts and foundations in the UK and internationally. A vital member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be a key source of strategic guidance and support for university leaders, academics, and fundraising colleagues across the University.

This is an opportunity to make your mark on one of the largest campaigns in the history of UK higher education, Birmingham In Action. Our £600m campaign aims to transform lives for our generation and the next, by tackling some of the world’s greatest challenges, today - challenges such as youth mental health, the climate crisis, AI, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

A key member of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting to and working closely with the Director of Development and Alumni Relations, you will have the opportunity to work on transformational gifts – interesting, complex, exciting gifts that will have global impact.

We're the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We’re determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. We support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care. 

We currently have around 90 staff based in England, Wales Scotland and Northern Ireland. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we’re in a privileged position to be able to grow our staff team to deliver our ambitious strategy, On a Mission. There are huge challenges facing bowel cancer patients across the UK and our community needs us now more than ever. We’re building a strong and united team to bring us closer to a world where nobody dies of bowel cancer.

We’re looking for an experienced Creative and Content Manager to head up the team that leads on brand, creative and case study storytelling for the charity. This role is essential in ensuring the success of projects from high-profile public campaigns, to targeted health information for patients and healthcare professionals. It sets standards for creative work and plans for content needs including sourcing real-life stories.

You’ll be a creative all-rounder with a passion for high quality creative work, the importance of a strong brand, the need for great content planning and the power of storytelling in developing successful communications. You’ll also sit on the Marketing and Communications Management Team, playing a key role in driving forward the team as a whole, from the personal development of individuals, to leading and shaping major marketing and communications initiatives.

About us:

Action for M.E. is the only charity in the UK providing direct support including healthcare to children and adults with M.E.. We provide vital support services, campaign for change and invest in ground-breaking research to help put an end to the ignorance, injustice and neglect experienced by people with M.E.
 

Opportunity: 

Having been paused to new referrals, Action for M.E.’s free, independent, Adults Advocacy service will soon be re-opening. It’s one of our range of free Support Services that work with adults, young people, and/or families living with M.E. We support colleagues across the team to take part in and share reflective practice, self-care, peer-support and training.

Our Adults Advocacy service offers non-statutory, single-issue, instructed advocacy for adults with a confirmed diagnosis of M.E. We encourage self-advocacy where possible, though many of our clients are too severely affected by M.E. to be able to take undertake this.  

As an Adults Advocate, you will manage a caseload of clients, as well as inputting and contributing to the triage process along with your Advocacy colleagues. You will meet with clients by phone, email, Zoom and/or SMS; we can also facilitate communication by post if this is required. We are not able to offer home visits or face to face meetings.
