The Marketing and Communications Department

Since 1927, Cats Protection has helped thousands of cats each year, across the UK. As a community of volunteers, employees, supporters and partners, we’ve improved the lives of millions of cats and transformed the way millions of people see and care for cats.
The Supporter Services team is part of the Cats Protection Marketing & Income Generation directorate. We answer queries from supporters about memberships, sponsorships, lotteries, raffles and donations. We also record and update the contact preferences of our supporters to ensure we only send communications which are wanted. The Supporter Services team is also responsible for the management of the Gift Aid scheme for Cats Protection, claiming money back from HMRC to provide much needed assistance to the many cats and kittens in need of help. As Supporter Care Team Leader you will lead a team of Supporter Services Advisors, who are the first point of contact for fundraising enquiries, and through direct communication with supporters via a variety of channels (including inbound and outbound telephone calls, letters, email and social media response), build loyal, committed relationships with supporters. You will establish and maintain processes and procedures to provide a first-class level of customer care to current and potential supporters.
What we’re looking for in our Supporter Care Team Leader:
- Demonstrable experience of line managing staff including setting objectives, managing performance, conduct, staff development, induction and training in line with organisational policies
- Demonstrable experience in a supporter relations or customer care environment

As Project Support Officer you will support the Northern Area Manager and Regional Manager with volunteer recruitment, documentation of training (such as DBS, references, Food Safety Level 2, First Aid), giving our volunteers a fantastic experience, guest outreach and giving extra support to our Yorkshire & The Humber projects to aid development and growth within the region.
Our projects are run by volunteers and supported by Regional Managers, through recruitment and training of volunteers. This support could range from developing relationships with our food suppliers, researching local organisations to support with guest outreach, and recruiting new volunteers for the region.

Role Requirements
Operational Management
- Manage the generation and distribution of stock, including organising the logistics for van deliveries and collections to meet both shops and customer requirements.

Income Generation
- Manage the full gift aid claim process, working with colleagues and shops managers to optimise gift aid conversion rates.

- Support sales promotions and seasonal changes across the chain of shops.
- Support colleagues to develop opportunities for niche sales offers.
- Regularly review shops departmental sales performance to support sourcing and supply of specific stock.
- Working with fundraising colleagues to ensure that the retail supporter journey is optimised and relationships are managed holistically.
Standards and Compliance
- Manage full compliance of the Children’s Trust shops in line with all Health & Safety legislation, Fire safety, Trading Standards, Retail Gift Aid, GDPR, ThankQ CRM, Risk Assessments, Safeguarding and all other legal or statutory requirements.
- Deliver and manage internal and external audit processes working with Retail Sales Manager and Head of Retail to ensure that all audit actions and recommendations are delivered by the team.

About the role

Support with the set up of the new Pyramid system and ensuring the right systems are in place to effectively manage the Revenue and Income stream and arrears of the organisation.
Maximising the organisation’s Revenue and Income by liaising with both internal and external partners including the Resident Services, Keyworkers, HB, DWP and directly with residents., and effectively managing the arrears.
This role will also manage the impact of welfare reform provisions, ensuring an effective advice and support service to residents to manage risk on revenue and income levels.

- To contribute towards the continuous improvement of performance in line with the organisation’s service plan targets

It is a challenging role working across the Quality Directorate and you must be willing to travel nationally and to stay away from home on a regular basis (weekly). You will get support with all areas of the work and an in-depth induction.

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Advocate to join our team covering Aberdeen City and surrounding area. You will be involved in one-to-one advocacy along with group work across the area; this could be in a clients’ home or other suitable community venue and be home based for telephone referrals and administrative tasks. Therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential.
This is a full time role for 35 hours per week, applicants who do not hold the Level 2 Award in Independent Advocacy will start on £22,500 per annum pro-rata.
About you
