CPRE, the countryside charity is looking for an experienced Individual Giving Officer to maximise income from new and existing supporters from cash appeals, regular giving and digital.
As the Individual Giving Officer, you will help to develop and deliver a varied direct marketing programme to generate income from new and existing individual supporters. You will be responsible for planning and delivering activities across diverse income streams, including cash appeals, regular giving and digital.
You will report to the Individual Giving Manager and be part of the wider Income Generation team, which also includes Supporter Care and Development and Membership and Community.
We are looking for someone with a real passion, energy and aptitude for creating compelling fundraising
stories. You’ll work with internal teams and external creative partners to translate these into effective communications and supporter journeys. You will need to have experience of tailoring messages to suit different audiences so that you can help us engage new supporters, as well as steward and grow income from existing audiences.
The successful candidate will have previous fundraising experience, be highly organised and have a proven track record in project managing direct marketing activities across a range of channels, including digital. We also require the post holder to be numerate and confident working with data, with the know-how to devise robust tests, draft accurate data briefs, and deliver insightful ‘end of campaign’ evaluation reports.

Development & Digital Giving Executive Fundraising

About the role:
You will report directly to our CEO building the foundations for development strategies and bringing to life income streams which will become a valued and significant source of revenue for the RSPCA Isle of Wight. Leading the planning and execution of digital fundraising programs including, but not limited to, Medical Emergency, Adopt-a-Kennel and End of Year appeals. You will also be engaged in the conversations to support the creation and management of a future online merchandise store. Your focus will be the day-to-day running of these activities, including copywriting for digital channels, marketing and analysis.
This position will develop the solicitation, cultivation, recognition and stewardship programs for supporters across a variety of giving levels. You will develop a portfolio of current and prospective individual donors and foundations - all with a passion for the life-saving work of the RSPCA Isle of Wight. You will lead our individual giving program working to bring in new donors and maximise the money we raise from our existing donors.
You will be delivering a variety of acquisition and retention activities including appeals (social media, email and direct mail), and recruitment and stewardship of high-worth individual donors.
You will also support corporate partnerships and their own fundraising activities. You will research grant opportunities and develop funding applications as well as supporting others to do the same.
We aim to grow a committed supporter base, introducing innovative approaches to diversify income streams. You will be creative, organised and resourceful, possess excellent cross-discipline income generation skills and excelled in maximising digital channels for income generation. BACKGROUND INFORMATION AND PURPOSE OF POST
This post is a pivotal role in enabling HI UK to maximise its income from individual donors, regular donors and other supporters, via excellent donor care and accurate, up-to-date data.
The purpose of the post is to:
- To process donor data and donations accurately and efficiently into the fundraising database.
- To help HI UK provide a first class experience to its supporters.
- To provide administrative support to the Fundraising Manager and the Individual Giving team.
- To manage volunteers where appropriate on a day-to-day basis and provide ongoing training and support.
- Support the IGC team with social media and content production.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Data entry
- Input donations, pledges and other donor data into the fundraising database (Advantage Fundraiser) and assess the accuracy and validity of the data.
- Input and set up regular donations accurately
- Reconcile finances at the end of each month with the support of the Fundraising Manager
- Manage and maintain up to date records for Gift Aid.
- General database housekeeping tasks
- Compile and present accurate queries and reports as needed by the team.
Donor Care and communications
- Be the first point of contact for all existing and prospective donors and represent HI UK in an efficient, effective and professional way.
- Provide individual donor care, including answering queries and dealing with complaints.
- Draft, produce and send written correspondence such as emails, thank you letters and other relevant documents for donors.
- Review and update call-handling procedures for use by all staff members.
- Improve knowledge and understanding of supporters and develop donor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and other data protection legislation in all processes and activities.
- Work with the Media Officer to maintain HIUK’s social media presence to increase supporter engagement in line with our Individual Giving and Communications strategy.
- Respond to enquiries via social media and moderate comments.
Administrative support
- Provide general administrative support to the Individual Giving & Communication team.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of effective processes and automation between the Fundraising, Communication and Finance team members.
- Review and update Fundraising and Database guidelines.
- Maintain an efficient record-keeping system for donation forms, including saving electronic copies of donations and Gift Aid declarations.
- Resolve queries about donations (e.g. unsigned cheque).
- Support the weekly reconciliation of donations with the Finance department (i.e. ensuring that what is banked match the fundraising database).
Volunteers
- Assist with the recruitment and induction of Fundraising volunteers.
- Support, guide and supervise fundraising volunteers on a daily basis.
- Work with volunteers to manage stationary and stock levels.
Other
- Participate in internal/external meetings and other functions as necessary.
- Undertake any other reasonable duty consistent with the nature of the job and its level of responsibility.

Women and Girls Network (WGN) is a specialist therapeutic service leading in developing and delivering innovative and effective counselling services for women and girls who have experienced all forms of gender-based violence. We aim to ensure that we proactively provide services which meet the needs of the women and girls who access them.
We are now seeking High Intensity Therapist to join WGN’s Clinical Team’s Safeguarding Hub to facilitate innovative, responsive, trauma-informed and culturally responsible services for survivors of violence against women and girls (VAWG). Our High Intensity Practitioners deliver a therapeutic response engaging survivors considered at high risk due to coping strategies such as acute or chronic self-injurious behaviour or suicidality that presents a threat to the client’s wellbeing.
We are particularly to hear from you if you have experience of working with one or more of the following: Specialist therapeutic support specifically addressing crisis presentation, providing a range of interventions, facilitating safety and stablisiastion aiming to manage distress, interrupt presentation of suicidality, self-injurious behaviour and provide alternative coping strategies, creative solutions in working with survivors of VAWG that are affected by problematic substance use and mental ill health and / or from applicants who speak various community languages.
Applicants must be BACP, UKCP or HCPC accredited (or eligible) and demonstrate an understanding of the following: gender responsive approach, trauma focused, holistic therapeutic responses and multicultural competencies.
This post will be based in various West London locations.

Dementia is a huge and growing health crisis. By 2025, it’s predicted that over 1 million people in the UK will be living with this often-devastating condition. Almost all of us will know someone with dementia – whether it’s a family member or a friend. There is no cure for dementia. But there is care. And care can change lives. That’s why Dementia UK is here. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses, who we continually support and develop, provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia – including Alzheimer’s disease.
Dementia UK has seen significant income growth over the past five years, and we have ambitious plans to maintain this growth so we can significantly increase the number of Admiral Nurses, and the specialist support they provide.
Individual Giving fundraising is playing an integral part of this growth as a key income stream for the charity.
Purpose of Job
As Individual Giving Assistant, you will play a key role in the Individual Giving (IG) fundraising programme by supporting the administration of the day-to-day activities of the IG, Legacy and In Memory team.
You’ll be responsible for responding to enquiries across multiple channels including phone, email, social media and print, thanking supporters, collating results, recording invoices and providing an exceptional experience to our supporters. You’ll also a play a part in our telemarketing campaigns, providing stewardship support, call listening and feedback to agencies.
You’ll bring your passion for high quality customer/supporter service, excellent organisational skills, an ability to work as part of a team and independently and a creative approach to solving problems and generating new ideas.
