We will work together with our members throughout this three-year journey. The Peer Support Coordinator will play a critical role in the delivery of Day One's Peer Support Service. The primary objectives are to ensure a high-quality service is delivered to our beneficiaries; to develop our regional peer support model; and to facilitate a positive volunteering experience for our lived experience volunteer team. Responsibilities will include the day-to-day coordination of peer support activity. The postholder will contribute to building a diverse volunteer team by supporting the volunteer recruitment and induction processes. This is an exciting opportunity to join our new service supporting Unpaid Carers across Lewisham to improve their health and wellbeing, and access support that meets their needs.
The team works with unpaid Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers, completing statutory and holistic assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need. You will carry out home visits and community meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Unpaid Carers, families, and professionals.
You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Unpaid Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Unpaid Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.
Applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Unpaid Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a social care, health, education or voluntary and community sector. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Unpaid Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services. In this varied and rewarding role you will engage, motivate and support young carers and in doing so you will make a real difference to young carers within Surrey.
You will be based at our offices in Burpham, Guildford for approximately one day a fortnight, with access to hotdesking at any time. Your remaining working hours will be spent engaging with young carers within youth settings, schools or other settings or undertaking planning/recording work from home. Home-Start Lambeth offers a unique service, recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers to support families with pre-school children on a regular basis. Our staff and volunteers provide friendship and practical help to families experiencing stress or difficulties, including poverty, post-natal depression, domestic abuse, mental ill-health, isolation, and other challenges leading to crisis.
We are advertising for a Family Coordinator to join our small, amazing charity. Working alongside our team of Family Coordinators, you will oversee the work of our home-visiting volunteers, ensuring that the support they provide to families is targeted, high quality and empowers them to reach their goals.
You will also lead the delivery of our domestic abuse work. This includes the development and delivery of the Freedom Programme; a 7-week course to help survivors of domestic abuse understand and recover from their experiences.
We are looking for a well-organised person, familiar with office systems, who can demonstrate empathy and good communication and interpersonal skills. Parenting experience, experience of working with disadvantaged families and survivors of domestic abuse would be advantageous.
This role involves significant amounts of travel around Lambeth visiting families and attending meetings. Reasonable travel expenses, other than from home to base, will be reimbursed. We are an award winning independent charity providing services that prevent sexual re-offending by people who have sexually harmed, as well as support services for non-offending partners, family and friends impacted. Our core service is Circles of Support and Accountability; a ‘Circle’ is a small group of local volunteers who assist the safe integration of an individual who has sexually harmed, meeting with them over a year or more. Working closely with responsible statutory agencies we provide a complementary risk management approach, making communities safer. With experience of working with adults convicted of sexual offences, you understand how local communities can support risk management and be committed to the safe integration in the community of people who have sexually harmed. C4WS Welfare Coordinator Advert 2024:
C4WS Homeless Project (registered charity, no 1189622) which provides support to people experiencing homelessness year-round, through a well-established winter night shelter in Camden, a lunchtime club, Jobs Club, mentoring scheme, hosting scheme and various other activities. We are passionate about helping people rebuild their lives after homelessness and working towards living independently.
What We Do:
Every winter, we work with a number of churches in the London Borough of Camden who offer their venues to us to run a night shelter. We operate from a different venue every night of the week, and run one circuit, accommodating 16 guests.
We provide camp beds and offer a hot evening meal. Our guests leave in the morning after a hot breakfast, ready to attend activities and meetings in our offices in Euston.
Advice and Support
Whilst the shelter operates seasonally, every winter, our team works year round, dedicated to offering advice, advocacy and practical support. This can be accessed by former night shelter guests, and via our weekly drop in, Friday Club. Guests can also access other services provided by C4WS including lunch, laundry and showers.
The Role:
Our small, dedicated team is looking for a Welfare Coordinator, to deliver holistic welfare support to all those who access our services. You will work alongside another member of the team to ensure that guests are supported both during and after their stay in the C4WS night shelter to ensure the stability of their move on.
You will possess a passion for working in the homeless sector, supporting those experiencing homelessness to rebuild their lives and ideally have direct and relevant experience of working with this demographic, or similarly vulnerable and/or disadvantaged groups.
As well as providing Welfare Support, you will also be a presence at the shelter for up to two evenings a week during the shelter season (November – March) including weekends, and you will need to lead a team of volunteers to ensure the safe running of the shelter on those occasions.

We are growing our information and support service and looking for two Helpline and Information Coordinators to join our team working 21 hrs per week.
You will be the first point of contact for our telephone helpline, actively listening to callers, assessing their needs and providing high quality information and signposting to Retina UK’s resources including our amazing team of lived experience volunteers who will provide emotional support and guidance as well as coping strategies. We believe that our community deserve the very best support and you will be the professional face of our telephone helpline.
Additionally, you will have responsiblity for the development of information materials and online resources, further enhancing the support we offer to our community. We are looking for someone with previous experience in a similar role with a charity or in an eye health and social care setting. Position: S11158 Stroke Association Support Coordinator
Location: Home-based, Worcestershire, however, extensive travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)
Hours: Part-time, 24 hours per week
Salary: Circa £17,546 per annum (FTE circa £25,500 per annum)
Contract: This is a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2025. Our services are contracted, we currently have funding for this contract until 31 March 2025.

The Role
Reporting to the Stroke Association Service Delivery Coach, the coordinator will work with the local Health and Social Care services to receive referrals and support stroke survivors and their carers. As a coordinator you will provide personalised information, advice and support with regular reviews throughout.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Working with the local Health and Social services to receive referrals to support stroke survivors and their carers
· Providing personalised information, advice and support to address any needs identified
· Completing Needs Assessments with stroke survivors and supporting them to develop a stroke recovery plan
· Providing regular reviews to support people in establishing and achieving their own personal goals.
· Completing 6-month Post Stroke Reviews
About You
You will:
· Have a background in a caring and/or charity profession supporting people with disabilities
· Be able to demonstrate previous experience of working collaboratively with other organisations to achieve joint ambitions.
· Have experience of working with people who may have additional communication support needs
· Have the ability to use basic Microsoft system
This role requires extensive travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role.
