In this pivotal role of Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the management and successful delivery of all hard and soft facilities services across the Lambeth Palace estate.
- Ensure the Lambeth Palace estate is managed to the highest possible standard, ensuring all areas are well presented, safe, secure and compliant for all visitors, residents and staff alike.
- Review and regularly ensure all agreed security measures are in place and are communicated accordingly.
- Ensure all works undertaken across the Lambeth Palace estate are safely assessed and authorised before they are carried out.
- Review Health & Safety risk assessment submissions relating to operations and buildings, identifying and ensuring any corrective actions are completed.
- Work closely with the Hospitality Team to ensure events are assessed properly and robust H&S procedures are in place.
- Manage compliance and ensure best practice in the following areas: asbestos management, fire control management, water systems management, working at heights, electrical compliance, mechanical compliance, lifts, H&S inspections, etc.
- Ensure the proactive management of all hard and soft facilities tasks including, but not limited to office moves, PPM, reactive maintenance, office services and statutory compliance.
- Ensure that all planned and reactive maintenance are undertaken and completed within agreed schedules, frequencies, and statutory requirements.
- Implement and manage facilities contracts SLA's.
- Manage, query and follow up Facilities related tasks.
- Manage all utility contracts, council taxes and licenses.
- Line manage and give day-to-day supervision, direction and motivation to the Facilities Co-ordinators, Facilities administrator and Assistant.
- Manage the Facilities Helpdesk on a day-to-day basis ensuring requests, complaints and questions via telephone, e-mail or in person are acknowledged and acted upon within appropriate timelines and are escalated where required.
- Support and develop best practice standards, procedures, processes and expectations and deliver them to provide a first-class work experience.
- Ensure consistently high levels of customer service are delivered for all hard and soft service facilities and maintenance issues.
- Liaise regularly with contractors, making sure disruption to the Archbishop's family, other residents, staff and Hospitality is minimised and work is completed as quickly as possible.
- Ensure effective communication with the Archbishop's family, other residents, staff, Garden and Hospitality Teams on all work affecting the estate.
- Monitor and report on the Palace's environmental impact and initiating methods to improve sustainability.
- Assist the Head of Facilities & Steward in financial/budgetary management, including verifying and arranging payment of contractors' invoices and reporting on the annual budget.
- Where authority has been delegated, progress the work of the Head of Facilities & Steward in their absence and within agreed parameters, including out of hours working when required.
- Hold NEBOSH General Certificate.
- IWFM qualification or equivalent experience.
- Highly organised and efficient; able to prioritise and keep track of multiple projects.
- Ability, enthusiasm and willingness to work as part of a team, giving directions when required within a supportive environment.
- Possess and evidence a strong passion for delivering professional and high-quality facilities services with a "can-do" attitude and flexible approach.

- Whilst the NCIs are committed to wellbeing and work/life balance, a willingness and availability to work outside normal office hours (including some weekends) is required.
- Live within easy commuting distance to Lambeth Palace.
- Available to be contacted and/or attend the site out of normal working hours if required.
- IOSH Managing Safely Certificate.
- First aid at work trained.
- Experience, knowledge or interest in the facilities management of historic buildings including full management and organisation of health and safety records and systems in a historic setting.

We are recruiting a Project Coordinator to oversee the delivery and development of a flagship Community Wellbeing Project, which operates in partnership with Brent Council. The project is a Community Hub hosted in a community space in Stonebridge (not in Sufra’s existing premises). Members of the project can access a Community Shop, a Community Café and Kitchen, and holistic support in the form of Advice casework and workshops. The objective of the project is to deliver food aid alongside wraparound holistic support in way that improves the financial, physical and mental wellbeing of its members, who are struggling with the cost of living.
This collaborative project has been made possible due to the support of multiple partners and has already proven highly successful. It is likely to form the basis of a new model of support for people experiencing vulnerabilities that will be replicated across Brent and possibly elsewhere in London.
The Project Coordinator will oversee the delivery of the project, ensuring both the shop and the café operate effectively and in accordance with agreed standards and procedures. The successful candidate will help shape the project in the months ahead, whilst supporting guests, collecting data, and monitoring and evaluating the project. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a busy and varied environment, managing multiple priorities at the same time. They will have experience in a customer-facing role, dealing with the general public and managing volunteers. It would be beneficial for the post holder to have experience supporting vulnerable people with complex needs from a wide variety of backgrounds. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for members that sign onto the pilot project, and will be representing the organisation to external partners. Key Responsibilities
Philanthropy Events
- Work closely with team members to organise and manage the logistics for our major and mid-level donor event programme, comprising around 4-5 events a year, including the Rooftop Summer Drinks Party and November Private Dinner.
- Event management will include liaising with venue managers and suppliers both in the run up and during the event
- Work with the Philanthropy Executive to project manage on cross-income stream events, including sponsored challenge events such as the Impetus Triathlon, and Christmas Celebration Drinks.
Events Communication
- Support the Philanthropy team in putting together relevant event-related comms to all donors as required
- Manage systems and processes for fundraising events and actively look to improve and develop these alongside the Philanthropy Executive
- Manage the event side of the Salesforce database including guest list campaigns, pulling reports, creating mailing lists etc. Update the database with donor interactions, and other details in a timely and efficient manner.
Research
- Research and identify trends and news from the Events sector including new relevant venues, styles and fundraising event formats.
- Support the Philanthropy Executive in identifying trends and news from the wider fundraising sector.
Wider Philanthropy Support
- With the Philanthropy Executive, project manage relevant fundraising projects such as the June match funding appeal, and community fundraising projects including from schools and churches
- Provide ad hoc support to the Philanthropy team as required e.g. support with applications and reports, and hosting volunteers at Spear sessions.

Recruitment
- Build a strategy for attracting high performing talent into Resurgo and our partner Spear centres, in line with our goals for national growth and ensuring our teams reflect the communities they serve.
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process across Resurgo and our partner Spear centres (with support from the HR Executive), working with the D&I Manager to train team members on interview skills, and advising and guiding Department Heads through the recruitment process
- Work with the Head of Church Partnerships to develop the Spear Graduate Scheme as a training programme of choice, ensuring there is a pipeline of outstanding coaches for our partner Spear centres and managing the recruitment cycle throughout the year

Progression and Organisational Development

Learning and Development

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Therapies Service at St Joseph’s Hospice in Hackney. You will work as part of committed and creative team, which offers innovative therapeutic interventions and support to people with specialist palliative and end life care needs. The Therapies team works in collaboration with other clinical professionals and volunteers across all areas of the service; inpatient, outpatient and community.
This role involves the provision of rehabilitation and non-pharmacological symptom management for patients with advanced illness to optimise their independence and make a significant difference to their quality of life.
Although the post is an AFC Band 6 post, there is scope to progress to an AFC B7 Senior Physiotherapist over a 12-month period subject to meeting role-specific developmental competencies.
We are looking for someone who:
- has highly developed clinical reasoning skills necessary to tailor and adapt therapeutic interventions across a complex patient caseload
- has experience of multi-disciplinary working in an inpatient rehabilitation setting
- is skilled in the management of respiratory, neurological, musculoskeletal, and oncological conditions

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will play an integral role in planning and delivering our flagship annual Night of Light Gala, working closely with our Event Lead and the rest of the Philanthropy Team on this dazzling event. Our Gala raised approximately £300K of vital funds in 2023. You will work with some amazing suppliers, high profile people, volunteers and supporters on this, and other events. You will get to support third-party events, including Golf Days and challenges, and special events like our 8-Hour cycle challenge round Brands Hatch for 20 teams of four in September, as well as any new events for our philanthropists to deliver vital income, and inspire our supporters to grow and repeat their events, each year.
You will also provide essential research and administration support to help prospect and steward incredible high-level supporters and our Fundraising Board of volunteers.
