We go above and beyond what the NHS can't afford purchasing vital state of the art equipment, providing training for health professionals, funding a programme of ground-breaking research into life-threatening diseases and supporting families through one of the most difficult times in their life with one-to-one support, advice, counselling, accommodation for parents.

- Provide clear leadership, strategic direction and management for the Charity, its employees and volunteers.
- Elevate the Charity's income streams.
- Work with and support the Chair, Trustees and finance committee ensure good governance of the organisation.
- Ensure the continued development, quality levels and effectiveness of service delivery
- Increase the Charity's profile, reach and influence.
- Oversee the Fundraising, Finance, HR, Health & Safety and Operations Teams.

The role:

You will be joining our campaigning work at a crucial point as we aim to grow our campaigner base, mobilise more people and carry out strategic campaigns within the context of an approaching general election and beyond with the new government. The Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project in Southwark has been successfully supporting families with young children to ensure fruit and vegetables are a part of their everyday diet since 2018. As we enter the seventh year of the project, we are now looking for a new member of staff to join the 1st Place Rose Voucher Project team and support our work in delivering the project, while measuring its wider impact on families. Job Summary
As Rose Voucher Project Officer, you will be working alongside the Southwark Rose Voucher Project Lead to forward the development of the Rose Voucher Project in Southwark. Your key areas of responsibility will be registering new families onto the Rose Voucher Project, overseeing the two Rose Voucher distribution sessions which take place at both our centres, supported by our dedicated Rose Voucher volunteers, and coordinating and supporting the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the Project. You will also provide support to our network of other Rose Voucher distribution centres in Southwark to ensure they are working in a coordinated way and according to agreed processes.
You will be a motivated individual, with excellent written and communication skills, and proven experience of working in a community setting where service users are valued, listened to and respected. Previous experience working with and signposting families is essential to ensure that our Rose Voucher families are aware of the many services and activities available to support and increase their health and wellbeing. If successful, you will liaise closely with our external IT consultancy, for bespoke 3rd line support, regarding our core IT infrastructure (software, hardware, server and network). You will be the first point of support for your colleagues’ IT needs. You will report on and advise senior management of the IT risks and cybersecurity needs. You prioritise your own work, documenting and communicating progress.
Key Responsibilities:
● Troubleshoot IT based systems, hardware, and software issues for colleagues
● Onboard/offboard employees for IT system; set up all user credentials
● Manage devices for circa fifty staff using GoTo Resolve (our MDM/RMM tool)
● Help staff with Google, Windows, email, VPN and applications like Staffology HR
● Support Senior Team with roll-out of our first self-service HR portal for all staff
● Manage device inventory and purchase new supplies and equipment as needed
● Liaise and negotiate with external IT service providers (eg. EE, Croft, Google)
● Ensure all IT hardware and software is well maintained (documenting actions)
● Develop and update IT policies, subject to board approval
● Advise Senior Team on cost-effective digital forward planning and investment
● Support Senior Team to create a cybersecurity strategy (based on security audit)

● Outside IT Manager builds and maintains the organisation’s network and server

Person Specification
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
1. Experience of either Customer Service, Charitable Sector or Small Business
2. Trouble-shooting experience while providing remote and onsite IT tech support
3. Documentation of IT processes, good time management skills and attention to detail
4. On-site management of Active Directory, Network Access Storage (inc. RAID)
5. Proficient in Windows 10/11 & Home/Pro, MS Office and MDM/RMM tools
6. Ethernet cabling experience (crimping etc.) We have loads of structured cabling!
7. Working knowledge of information data security and mitigation of cyber risks
8. Aptitude for IT skills development and staying on top of current industry standards
9. Good problem-solving and communication skills, being able to think on your feet
10. Good working knowledge of: Website CMS & Google Workspace (formerly G-Suite)
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

● CompTIA A+ or experience of office IT support function

About the role
Under the direction of the Board of Trustees, the Chief Executive is accountable for the performance, management, development and sustainability of the Union of Kingston Students and responsible for developing and leading the Union's services, strategy and objectives to meet students’ needs.

What the role involves
Key responsibilities
1. Ensuring that there are regular training opportunities for both new starters and those requiring refresher sessions or updates when new functions or forms are released.
2. Running system training drop-in sessions to assist with queries / hear feedback, and relaying information from these to the Information Governance and IT manager.
3. Working with the Learning and Development Coordinator to establish an evaluation method and implement this to enable us to assess the effectiveness of each training session and using this to improve future delivery.
4. Produce effective training materials and guidance documents, and develop and maintain a training area on our case recording system, including the creation of dummy forms and files for new users to access and use as a training sandbox.
5. Producing and maintaining a catalogue of training resources, ensuring links to practice-based guidance are established and maintained.
6. Performing case recording system changes to forms and lists as directed by the Information Governance and IT Manager
7. Support the Data Reporting and System Support Lead with regards to user administration and user support at times of absence and increased need
8. Supporting with training on additional systems directed by the Information Governance and IT Manager, including on the efficient use of SharePoint and Teams
9. Developing training courses for various systems, using our LMS (currently Rise)
10. Acting at all times in line with safeguarding legislation and guidance in addition to Safer London’s practice guidelines and wider pan-London processes and protocols.
11. Undertaking any other duties as required and commensurate with the level of this post.
