Resuscitation Council UK’s (RCUK) Communications and Engagement Department delivers creative communications and authentic engagement activities that support the organisation’s Vision to 2030, which is to ensure that everyone in the UK has the skills they need to save a life and receive appropriate resuscitation.

Main duties and responsibilities

Partnership Management 

• Responsible for coordinating, managing and supporting RCUK’s collaborative activity with community and corporate partner organisations in the UK.
• Act as the central link between partner organisations, and our patient and public voice group.
• Manage relationships with both corporate and community partnerships developing strong new relationships and strengthening existing relationships, liaising with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. 
• Take leadership for all operational aspects of our community and corporate partnerships, including the quality of partnership bid documents and correspondence received by the partner, and any day-to-day matters.
• Work closely with the Media and Campaigns and Policy and Public Affairs departments on campaigns and parliamentary engagement opportunities. Jointly working with the Media and Campaigns Manager to align the right partner/s with campaigning activities.
• Writing press releases to announce new partnership relationships and promote partnership events locally.
• Work closely with teams in RCUK to identify and develop growth opportunities for new and existing partnerships.
• Ensure RCUK discharges its responsibilities in relation to involvement/consultation with our patient and public voice group. Implementing and developing community and commercial strategic relationships with organisations, in accordance with Resuscitation Council UK’s overarching, objectives and goals. 

Strategy and Planning 

• Lead on the implementation of a new partnership strategy for RCUK working closely with the Director of Communications and Engagement and key internal stakeholders, ensuring it remains relevant and develops across the life of our partnership activity. 
• Lead on developing bespoke individual plans for each partner relationship.
• Lead on proactively researching and developing a pipeline of new partners whose values and mission align with the RCUK vision, presenting progress in monthly stakeholder meetings.
• Develop compelling partnership propositions and presentations for corporate prospects, ensuring alignment with our values.
• Chair a monthly partnership forward planning meeting with internal stakeholders and key members of the Senior Leadership Team.
• Look for specific income-generating partnerships that will help fund our campaigning activity.
• Continually monitor and evaluate each partnership to ensure objectives are being met in line with both RCUK and the partners' expectations.
• Setting KPIs for each of our corporate and community partnerships.
• Effective corporate account management - managing multiple and high-value partners.

Relationships 

• Effectively manage the relationships with partners at all levels including internal stakeholders.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Curriculum Manager to join our CONEL Campus based in Seven Sisters, Tottenham. As Curriculum Manager, you will support quality monitoring and assurance and work with the curriculum team to continuously drive up the quality of teaching, learning and assessment.

The key responsibilities for this role include:

• To effectively line manage 5 teachers and an Employment Specialist including manging sickness, holiday, and check-ins.
• To provide mentoring and support to trainee teachers to ensure that they can pass their accreditations and become outstanding teachers.
• To undertake quality monitoring and quality improvement. This will include observations of teaching and learning, moderation etc.
• To support the Assistant Principal for Curriculum with gathering of required information to inform the college self-assessment report (SAR) and quality improvement plan (QIP)
• As a member of the college leadership team, you will support the Head of College in developing and implementing Ambitious College's strategic and business plan. This will require monthly attendance at, and contribution to, leadership team meetings.

As the Research Analyst you will support the provision and development of UCEA’s pay and workforce benchmarking services and a range of wider employment-related projects. You will have the opportunity to conduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative research, to communicate your findings to members and wider stakeholders. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to keep abreast of issues affecting the full range of employers across the HE sector.

You will communicate complex information clearly, both in writing and verbally. You will analyse sector data, e.g. Higher Education Statics Agency and ONS, and build and maintain benchmarking dashboards. This requires current intermediate level R skills, or clear aptitude for learning R to intermediate level, and intermediate or advanced Excel. Experience of using survey software to collect, analyse and report on bespoke quantitative surveys is essential.

An exciting opportunity to work on WCRF International’s Global Cancer Update Programme 
 

World Cancer Research Fund International (WCRFI) leads and unifies a network of cancer prevention charities based in Europe and the Americas. Our shared vision is a world where no one develops a preventable cancer.

WCRFI is responsible for the Global Cancer Update Programme (CUP Global) which is our global cancer prevention and survival programme focussing on the links between diet, nutrition, physical activity and cancer. Forming the cornerstone of all our work, the project is the only authoritative scientific resource of its kind in the world.

We are seeking a Head of Research Interpretation who will be responsible for managing the delivery of CUP Global. You will chair the CUP Global Secretariat and also provide support to the Assistant Director of Research and Policy and the Director of Research, Policy and Innovation in the oversight and strategic direction of the programme of work. You will also contribute to other projects such as ensuring that the WCRF network has the latest global cancer statistics, including new estimates of the preventability of cancer. 

You will be educated to PhD level, with ideally at least 2 years postdoctoral experience in a research environment, in a relevant area (e.g. nutrition, cancer, epidemiology, public health). You will have a good understanding of public health and epidemiology, nutrition and/or cancer and have experience of conducting and/or interpreting systematic reviews. You will have strong people management skills, with direct line management experience.

The Role:

This role will cover a wider area of executive support including governance, meeting management, senior leadership team support, managing on-line gatherings, travel management, diary management, correspondence management and relationship management.

The post-holder will be key in supporting the WWP in this, and also, with both WWP and CEO, in mapping out the key events and activities over a 6 year cycle, so that there is a clear structure for the new WWP (and ultimately successor to CEO ) to come into and work with. They will also assist the CEO in “standard agenda planning” for the board, for example, the induction of the new Board in early 2025.

Whilst the role is for 3 days per week, ideally this would be flexible, with the individual working more days at certain times (for example during the Board week) and less at quieter times.

MU is a small team, (about 25) and there is an expectation that all will show flexibility in helping out on areas not explicit in their role descriptions, when time and their expertise and ongoing workload allow

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate should be proficient in handling the Microsoft suite, zoom, familiarity with handling databases and finance systems. They should be confident in taking minutes in board meetings, experienced in acting as a project manager, able to use a project tool to facilitate planning of schedules for SLT, Board and committees throughout the year, and possess excellent relationship skills, confident to liaise with board members and provincial presidents from around the Globe.

Work Location

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays.

• Be responsible for the quality of newly developed programmes beyond the project completion.
• Undertake desk-based research and horizon scanning to inform the decision-making process for the development of new learning programmes.
• Work with the Learning Technologist and Learning Technology Coordinator to produce quality digital learning content.
• Track the ongoing performance of programmes and resources against agreed metrics.
• Develop and maintain faculty pools comprised of UK-based doctors.
• Create a project plan for each learning programme with clear goals, targets, budgets and deadlines.
