About the role:
This role is based in London with hybrid working options. As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:
- Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
- Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk, primarily focusing on victim/survivors aged 16+
- Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.
You will need:
- Have a knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse (in heterosexual or same-sex relationships).
- Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.
- Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
- Understand safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
- Direct service delivery to victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable people.

About the role:
This role offers hybrid working from home & our Gloucester office. Regular travel will also be required within the Gloucestershire area, hence a driving licence is essential.
As a Children & Young People Domestic Violence Advocate you will:
- Provide one to one support to children and young people put in high risk cases, and on occasions you may need to support with group work to children and young people.

London Victim and Witness Service is recruiting for 2 x DRIVE Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA). These roles are full-time working one-day per week in the office and the other days from home, with regular travel required to visit clients and attend meetings.

This role will be part of our IDVA team in the London Victim and Witness Service. As a DRIVE Independent Domestic Violence Advocate your role will:
- Address the safety of victims at high risk of harm to secure their own & their chidlren's safety
- Serve as a victim's primary point of contact acting from the point of crisis to assess the level of risk, discuss the range of suitable options and develop safety plans

Job Title: Childrens Independent Domestic Violence Advocate

Salary: £25,104 per annum

We are recruiting for a Childrens Independent Domestic Violence Advocate who will be working closely with children and their mothers who are living in our refuges escaping domestic violence and other forms of violence and abuse, to provide personal welfare support and ensure that our clients are provided with a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment.
The post holder will support children and young people from the age of 11 – 17 years old who have been affected by domestic abuse, including teenage relationship abuse. The job involves, supporting children and young people from the point of crisis to ensure their short-term and long-term safety; reduce risk; enable them to access community support services and achieve their goals. To increase the ability of partner agencies including schools to recognise and respond appropriately and safely to young people affected by domestic abuse.

About You:
To be a Domestic Abuse Caseworker you will:
Have a thorough understanding of violence against women and girls with a particular focus on the dynamics of domestic violence and its impact on women, children, families and communities. Experienced of supporting women who have experienced domestic violence, forced marriage or ‘honour’-based violence. Experience of crisis management and successfully managing a busy and complex caseload and experience of risk and needs assessment and safety and support planning, particularly with clients with complex/multiple needs.

About the role:
We are excited to be taking the lead in the London Whole Housing Service Partnership (LWHSP) which will address and enhance the pathways of housing support for women experiencing domestic abuse, from removing them from immediate harm, to enabling recovery and resettlement across all levels of need. The LWHSP are seeking to build on our delivery across 11 East and West London boroughs of the Whole Housing Approach (WHA).
The Housing IDVA will work within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process. You will specialise in working with clients for whom housing, and risk of tenancy breakdown is a factor. You will work within the team to make proactive contact and provide high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women, focusing on working with those aged 18 and over who access the domestic abuse service. You will hold a caseload of survivors and will also be required to work as part of Advance’s duty team on a rota basis which will involve completing intake assessments and providing crisis intervention support.
About You:
As a Housing IDVA, you will need to have a degree of flexibility for colocation work across London boroughs; providing support to women who have experienced domestic violence, focusing on individuals with housing or tenancy issues. Working in our fast-paced crisis intervention, advocacy and support service, you’ll ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process. You will have your own caseload of survivors and will focus on working with those aged 18 and over who access our domestic abuse service.
You will bring experience in providing independent domestic violence advocacy and support for women who approach housing advice and assessment for help. Ideally experience in working with housing service providers, and advising women of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies. You will have the ability to develop individual safety and support plans in-line with the clients’ needs and the risks they face.

About the Role:
This role is based in Bedfordshire with consideration given to hybrid working. As an Independent Stalking Advocate you will be:
- providing a high quality support & advocacy service to victims of stalking
- working closely with our current Domestic Abuse Stalking Advocate, providing cover for this role as required
- managing a caseload; identifying and assessing risks and needs, providing a tailored crisis intervention service through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support
- working with other agencies and advocating on behalf of service users in order to help them access services to keep them safe
- working within a multi-agency framework consisting of voluntary and statutory partners to build local partnerships, in order to offer a coordinated response to stalking
- promoting the service and raise awareness of stalking through regular training of local partners.
You will need:
- Experience of working in support and advocacy with victims of stalking would be advantageous
- To be able to prioritise work & deal with competing demands
- Ideally you will hold a ISAC or SafeLives IDVA accreditation, relevant degree, vocational qualification or relevant experience of delivering a service and working with victims of stalking and/or domestic abuse

Home-Start Lambeth offers a unique service, recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers to support families with pre-school children on a regular basis. Our staff and volunteers provide friendship and practical help to families experiencing stress or difficulties, including poverty, post-natal depression, domestic abuse, mental ill-health, isolation, and other challenges leading to crisis.
We are advertising for a Family Coordinator to join our small, amazing charity. Working alongside our team of Family Coordinators, you will oversee the work of our home-visiting volunteers, ensuring that the support they provide to families is targeted, high quality and empowers them to reach their goals.
You will also lead the delivery of our domestic abuse work. This includes the development and delivery of the Freedom Programme; a 7-week course to help survivors of domestic abuse understand and recover from their experiences.
We are looking for a well-organised person, familiar with office systems, who can demonstrate empathy and good communication and interpersonal skills. Parenting experience, experience of working with disadvantaged families and survivors of domestic abuse would be advantageous.
This role involves significant amounts of travel around Lambeth visiting families and attending meetings. Reasonable travel expenses, other than from home to base, will be reimbursed. IDVA - West London
Pay: £13-£18 per hour
Hybrid working - Full time 37.5 hours per week
Our client is looking for an IDVA for their West London Team to start on a temporary basis for 2-3 months with the potential of going permanent!
Inter-agency Work:
- Embedding the outreach/IDVA role into multi-agency responses to domestic abuse.
- Advocating for best practices and change in partner agencies.
- Supporting professionals in line with organizational aims.
- Ensuring effective risk management and safeguarding.
- Developing partnerships with statutory, private, and voluntary agencies.
- Representing the service at multi-agency meetings.
- Providing a single point of contact for professionals.
- Flexibility to work in various environments.
Case Management:
- Compliance with safeguarding procedures.
- Contributing to regular service reviews.
- Attending case management meetings and supervision.
- Taking steps to protect individuals at risk.
- Attending MARAC meetings.
Recording and Administration:
- Ensuring accuracy and GDPR compliance in records.
- Entering required information into the case management system.
- Maintaining an accurate audit trail of communications.
- Complying with data protection protocols.
Direct Work with Victims/Survivors:
- Delivering consistent services to victims of domestic abuse.
- Conducting risk assessments and support planning.
- Collaborating with the team in intervention planning.
- Prioritizing the welfare of children and young people.
