Advocacy 1st is a free, independent service provided by advocates who specialise in the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and the Mental Health Act.
Location: Remote based in Oxfordshire
Key duties:
· Recruiting, training and providing ongoing support to volunteers
· Working with the children and young people to assess their service requirements
· Working with stakeholders to raise awareness and recognise and identify care leavers and young people in need of the Independent Visitors and Care Leavers service
· Looking at opportunities to engage and work with services to identify care leavers and independent visitors
· Reporting and discussing all safeguarding concerns with the service manager
· Completing initial assessments and matching volunteers to young people
· Raising the profile of the Independent Visitors and Care Leavers service

· Has qualifications relevant to the role
· Has experience of working with children and young people.
· Is aware of legislation such as Care Act 2014, Children and Families Act 2014, Children Act 1989, United Nations Convention on the Rights of the child (UNCRC)
· Has excellent communications and writing skills, and the ability to tailor written and verbal communications to a wide range of different audiences
· Can maintain existing relationships and develop new relationships with clients, families, colleagues and volunteers

We’re extremely proud of the support we offer to those living with inherited, progressive sight loss. Our services provide a safe place to find accurate information about inherited retinal conditions; to ask questions and share thoughts, feelings and anxieties with those who genuinely understand.
We are growing our information and support service and looking for two Helpline and Information Coordinators to join our team working 21 hrs per week.
You will be the first point of contact for our telephone helpline, actively listening to callers, assessing their needs and providing high quality information and signposting to Retina UK’s resources including our amazing team of lived experience volunteers who will provide emotional support and guidance as well as coping strategies. We believe that our community deserve the very best support and you will be the professional face of our telephone helpline.
Additionally, you will have responsiblity for the development of information materials and online resources, further enhancing the support we offer to our community. We are looking for someone with previous experience in a similar role with a charity or in an eye health and social care setting. We provide information, advice, practical support, befriending and accessible activities to our clients and families. We enable individuals to have choice and control over the way in which they get their support.
The Adult Services Team Manager is one of 3 team managers reporting to our Chief Executive Officer. The services managed include Direct Payment Support across Richmond and Wandsworth, Befriending and Community Activities, our Benefits and Housing Advice and Information service and our Counselling service.
We constantly research and develop services to meet the identified needs of the community and this role would suit someone who wants a good level of autonomy to develop new ideas.
The Adults Services Manager works alongside our Children’s Team Manager and our Social Prescribing and Community Development Manager, supported by Finance, Fundraising and Campaigns and Communications Managers.
Purpose of Post
- To be responsible for the management of the Support Services to Direct Payment clients in Richmond and Wandsworth.
- To be responsible for the research and development of adult services in Richmond and Wandsworth.
- To oversee promotion, monitoring and delivery of the CILS, Pathways and Counselling services.
- To provide leadership and supervision, performance evaluation and general support for all of the adult services team managers and leads
- To be responsible for adult safeguarding and health and safety across the organisation.

Main Duties include:
Management of Direct Payment Support Service
- Lead and manage the Direct Payment Support Service across Richmond and Wandsworth Boroughs through an experienced DP Project Manager.
- Provide support to the DP Project Manager to resolve complex DP HR management issues around the area of employment law.
- Support the Project Manager in their work with the local authority to set targets for the project, monitor performance against these targets and identify and resolve any issues that arise.
- Report as required to the commissioners and the Ruils Board of trustees
- Work with the DP Project Manager and the CEO on new DP projects and funding applications as required.
CILS, Pathways and Counselling Teams
- Lead and manage the delivery of the Community activity, Befriending, Pathways and Counselling services.
- Work with the CILS partners to ensure that the service is meeting Local Authority targets
- Report as required to the commissioners and the Ruils Board of trustees
- Responsible for ensuring active promotion of the services to potential and existing clients and stakeholders and to ensure representation of Ruils at networking events.
- Work with the CEO and Fundraising Manager to ensure projects are fully funded and demand is well managed.
General Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring safeguarding policies and principles are upheld across Adult Teams.

The Community Health and Wellbeing Worker will speak to households about health and wellbeing, alongside offering support to connect people to services and activities in their local community. They currently manage just over 900 units (living accommodation). As a landlord they have the responsibility to repair and maintain their properties. In this role as a Senior Maintenance Administrator, you will be responsible for a small team of administrators and ensure that they deliver a good repairs and maintenance service to their residents. You and the team will be the main point of contact for their residents, and staff, to report problems or repairs related to their properties. You will also deal on a daily basis with their Maintenance Operatives and external contractors and raise and chase the status of orders issued to them to carry out the required work. In addition, you will also provide any administration duties which arise within the Asset Management Team, including reporting, but also ensure that their properties when they become vacant are turned around in the required timescales so they can
be re-let.
The role will involve travelling across their stock portfolio, so you will need to have suitable transportation. This is also a hybrid role, and will be mainly based out of the office, but there will be a need to be in their various offices as and when required.

• Someone with experience of working in a customer services environment.
• Someone who has experience of working within a housing or maintenance sector.
• Has experience of managing a small team of staff (up to 3 people)

As a Specialist Housing Partner you’ll provide a high quality, efficient, effective housing and support service to customers that live in their Specialist Housing Schemes including Independent Living Schemes, enabling them to feel safe and supported to live well and independently for as long as possible. With a focus on building management, tenancy management and keeping tenants safe in their homes, you’ll provide comprehensive support including support planning at critical points and ensure any issues are resolved in the first instance whilst maintaining professional boundaries.

Salary
