About the role:

This role will work across Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent, but will be based in our Stafford office. Hybrid working is considered following probationary period. Travel across the whole of Staffordshire will be required.

As an IDVA you will be asked to:

• Provide a pro-active, high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic abuse through on-going risk assessment, individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
• Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse
• Specialise in working with Child to Parent abuse and delivering bespoke services - promoting the service and raising awareness of issues arising, minimising barriers and improving access to support

You will need:

• experience of providing support those affected by domestic abuse
• experience of undertaking need and risk assessments and creating safety plans
• experience of the MARAC and other partnership processes
• experience of multi agency working

About the role:

This role is home-based with regular travel throughout Wiltshire and Swindon. As this role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement.

As an adult caseworker you will:

• Ensure the delivery of excellent services to victims of crime through the direct provision of information and practical and emotional help from the point of crime, and onwards throughout the criminal justice process, where appropriate
• Ensure that the overall aim of helping people cope and recover from the effects of crime is achieved
• Act as a single point of contact, to undertake effective need and risk assessments of victims and their circumstances
• Coordinate the overall delivery of the cope and recovery plan and recovery journey, working closely with other service providers to meet the needs of victims to enable them to cope and recover from the impact of crime

You will need:

• Experience of delivering a service and working directly with service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting
• Experience of working with vulnerable adults and/or families
• Understanding and knowledge of an active commitment to promoting equal opportunities, inclusion and diversity
• Ability to work without direct supervision, prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/ needs and interests in an organised and methodical manner
• Ability to needs assess, risk assess and empathise with the victim

About the role:

You will lead and support a team of Homicide Family Caseworkers to meet VS and Homicide Service standards and contractual requirements. You will be able to demonstrate the excellent organisational skills essential to managing a demanding and diverse workload and will have experience of achieving key performance indicators, as set by the Operation managers and Deputy Head of Service.

We pride ourselves on providing exceptional trauma informed advocacy and support to all service users and you will have an understanding of the impact that trauma and bereavement can have on individuals. We support staff to keep them safe within their role and you will lead on the importance of personal and professional resilience and wellbeing for the team.

You will have excellent communication skills and will support the Operation Managers to maintain the highest standards of service delivery, across a widely geographically dispersed team. You will be prepared to travel across the geographical area including occasional overnight stays to ensure you can meet team members in person as well as online. A driving license and use of a car are both essential as well as access to public transport. You will be reimbursed for all travel costs.

You will also enjoy working closely with a range of stakeholders (including Police Family Liaison Officers and Senior Investigation Officers within the Major Crime teams) and will have experience in building constructive working relationships, focused on delivering the best service for vulnerable service users. You should be a confident presenter, and able to share the service and work we do to inform, educate and encourage notifications and referrals into the service.

Deputy Service Director

We are looking for a Deputy Services Director to support a cluster of Area Managers across England and Wales.

This role is home based, with regular travel across the regions.

Position: 5494 Deputy Service Director

Location: Home Based

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week (Flexibility is possible, but likely to be required to meet core hours across Monday to Friday)

Salary: £62,522.13 per annum

The Role
