Property & Facilities Manager

We are seeking a Property & Facilities Manager who will be responsible for managing the day to day running of the properties of Richmond Team Ministry and their facilities. The properties include three churches, their associated church halls, vicarages, Parish Office and investment properties.

We are looking for someone with property and facilities management experience including managing small building projects and related finance and budgeting.  S/he needs to be able to work collaboratively as part of a small team and have the ability to take the initiative and develop the role while supporting the ethos of the Richmond Team Ministry.

The position is based in Richmond upon Thames. 

Battersea is undertaking a transformational data strategy programme (known as Launchpad) aiming to transform how we collect, store and use information and data about our animals and supporters. As well as moving all of our data onto a new custom designed single system, we’re seeking to build the skills of our colleagues so that we’re ready to use our new system and make best use of the information we have to be a more data driven and insight led organisation.

This newly created role will work with key stakeholders across the charity to drive transformation and deliver the desired business outcomes and benefits relating to Launchpad, and be responsible for leading and executing the people and culture workstreams and other strategic change initiatives to support interconnected projects to achieve successful implementation and benefits realisation of this programme.

The role holder will be a great collaborator and influencer and will have the ability to work with a range of stakeholders to manage & deliver complex projects in a fast-moving environment with tight deadlines.

· To be accountable for achieving agreed outcomes, outputs and personal targets – including recruitment, employability training and learner progression targets

· To manage a caseload of participants requiring Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG), confidence building and employability training

About the role

As Senior PR Manager, you will play a crucial role in raising the profile of Save the Children UK amongst key target audiences, by developing and delivering projects that command media attention and coverage. As a member of the PR, Artist & Broadcast team, you will be able to apply your experience working with the media to shape major fundraising and influencing campaigns and build our brand. Some stakeholders you will work with include high profile ambassadors, influencers, and partners. To be successful in this role you will lean on your excellent verbal and written communications skills and have a strong network of contacts to help share the work of Save the Children UK.

In this role, you will:

• Work closely with team members in other departments within Save the Children to provide excellent PR support for delivering Save the Children's objectives
• Develop and execute mass-market PR plans that amplify key strategic campaigns and initiatives across the calendar year, including brand, fundraising and advocacy priorities
• Identify and maximise opportunities to generate reactive media coverage, responding effectively to external events, news and the cultural conversation 
• Write, co-ordinate and issue media releases, statements, briefing materials and Q&As, including for high-profile spokespeople and corporate partners, if required 
• Develop and nurture close working relationships with journalists (especially those on features, women's, lifestyle, showbiz outlets) across print, digital and broadcast media - including a diverse range of outlets beyond mainstream media
• Represent Save the Children as spokesperson externally, networking and building relationships that support brand building activity in the media.

About you

To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Significant operational experience in mass-market PR, as a print or broadcast journalist, or equivalent professional media communications experience
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external contacts across diverse cultures, disciplines and time zones
• Solid experience developing and implementing PR campaigns for corporate clients, including cause-related events, co-branded marketing activity, global campaigns
• Excellent working knowledge of the media landscape – including national broadcast and press, women's, showbiz, tabloid and digital media – with a network of journalistic contacts.
• Excellent writing skills, including the ability to write and edit engaging copy for a range of audiences, across traditional and new mediums

Working arrangements

This is 14-month fixed term contract.

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London Office. You will be expected to attend meetings and events with partners so travel will be required.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you bring experience working across a variety of corporate partnerships or relevant projects (e.g., in CSR/ESG), which could include strategic, commercial and charity of the year opportunities, as well as proven experience in managing cross-organisational projects, preferably with a focus on fundraising partnerships.

A self-starter with initiative and drive, you have a broad knowledge of corporate fundraising, experience of relationship management, and a proven track record of delivering creative solutions to overcome obstacles and enhance profitability. You think laterally with a commercial outlook, keeping up to date with sector trends.

Diplomatic and persuasive, with good planning and prioritisation skills, you are a strong relationship-builder and can influence a range of stakeholders to achieve outcomes for the BHF, as well as to understand and apply commercial and financial principles to improve performance.

The role: Fundraising Manager

We are seeking a Fundraising Manager with a passion for our mission, who will build positive relationships to secure significant income, working together to harness the power of adventure to create lasting change and transform communities for all.

This is a new role, leading our small but growing Fundraising Team, and having a real input into our plans and strategies for the future. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the successful candidate will oversee all fundraising income generation activity and lead on our Major Donor Giving Programme. A typical week could involve meeting with prospective donors, developing a case for support for a new stream of work, supporting team members to develop their own fundraising skills, and working with other departments to raise awareness of Bendrigg’s work.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned fundraiser to join and lead a forward-thinking and inclusive team and develop Bendrigg’s fundraising to support our new Strategic Plan. This opportunity is open to those wishing to work remotely (there would be an expectation to attend the office for a minimum of 2 weeks during the induction process, and thereafter at least 3 days per month throughout the year), looking for a hybrid working pattern or wanting to be fully office-based. The role is full time, however part-time on a minimum of 0.8FTE would be considered for the ideal candidate.
